Over all i love the SES and BSB, the BB looks ugly with a very simple ugly deck sails without real strings, the frontal sail holded by a ugly plastic chain and those ugly skulls on the sails the BB its terrible for me i don't like it at all i have it and i puted back inside a pan with old legos insted of showing it off on my shelf with my pirate sets. BB = ugly, BSB and SES = stunning models.

I hate the new ship it doesn't has strings insted of the it has a stupid chain holding the frontal sail and the skulls on the other sails are ugly these ship looks like a cheap plastic toy which can not be compared with such a sets like the Black Seas Barracuda or the Skull's Eye Schooner lego won't create a set like those ones never, that's what i belive still i would be really pleased to see a set like the old ones ...

Not bad, still there are too many squares in a very short space for such a huge deck, my opinon you should care more about the detail and remove squares but keep going it looks great well done !

Im from USA, Ohio and i got the Brickbeard's Bounty when it came out and after i saw it i put it back inside a pan with old legos this set wont meet my shelf along with the great pirate ships

It looks great very realistic, looks like the real Spanish fortress arround the Caribbean in America and i love the bell.

I really think that the Caribbean Clipper belongs to the big ships insted of the smal ones, however it has shape of a big ship with 2 cannos, long mast and using 2 masts as well many pieces used in the BSB etc etc i think it has a medium size but not small never, the RGR or the CBC are small and plus this is the bigest spanish ship produced by lego.

The anchor was putted in that way because there were ships from that age which had that system to hold up the anchor it is even more popular than the winch, and yes exist many space where to place the winch which takes even less space than the other system. No ship can beats the BSB and the SES.

You are kinda lost mate the way the Skull's Eye Schooner was designed is really fantastic it is really awesome the way they used the space on the ship with so damn simple pieces and the configuration of arcs it is incredible it is a very original set as the Black Seas Barracuda insted of the new plastic toy which is called "ship" it doesn't even have real shape of a ship those chains insted of real strings makes it lack alot and those animated skulls makes it die into the old pan lol there is no set that can beats the Black Seas Barracuda or the Skull's Eye Schooner are totaly original sets and the most incredible of the Skull's Eye Schooner was the way that its deseigneers could spend the space with very simple pieces insted of the alot of nice and rare pieces used in the Black Seas Barracuda and way used with the arcs it is totally original and those doors on the Skull's Eye Schooner aren't so well like the ones on the Black Sseas Barracuda but gives it to the ship a very classic and elegant shape reather than the poor new "ship" if you can call that plastic toy "ship"

I have this set and it is fantastic i compare it with the Skull's Eye Schooner every time that i have some free time still it is way better than the Skull's Eye Schooner but i love both in fact i think are the best sets ever produced by lego 5/5 !

The colors red, yellow doesn't looks like ... spanish flag lol Lego wanted to show off to some of you who thought it was a french army when all the Lego pirate themes were Spanish, Pirates and indians arround the caribbean in America Florida, New Orleans, Caribbean Islands etc etc lol guys i dont know if you like it or not the fact is that there is no french army in Lego Pirate themes but Spanish, Pirates ( English and some French ) and Indians and the Fortress like Eldorado (which is spanish) reflects the spanish Fortress arround the Caribbean reather then "French" stuff this was on the age where Cristobal Colon discovered America.

Im 24 years old and i always wanted in my childhood a pirate ship i was dreaming about the Black Seas Barracuda and when the Skull's Eye Schooner came out i was dreaming all the way about having the SES but my father couldn't affort the money for it but i could have the RR and i was really happy cause finally i could have a pirate ship with sails and strings it was just lovely ... time changed and now i own the BSB, SES, CC, RR etc etc still i like this little ship so much so i gave it 4/5.

Thanks for this review for me the best ships are Black Seas Barracuda, Skull's Eye Schooner and the custest Caribbean Clipper.

BSB is the best set of all the times, the new ship looks like a cheap plastic toy with those ugly skulls on sails, all the low design without strings holding sails and masts and so simple poor detail on it specially the cannos section.

I don't like the new sets, sucks so far still i would choise the new ship if i can get it for less than $30 one day i wont pay more than that for it ...

I love the skull design congratulations and made with the classic pirates insted of the new cheap plastic toys of lego you got an A on that model cheers.
