I was in a sitting behind a desk working out problems, it was boring. My mind wavered over to think of the Lego sitting on an (dust-proof) enclosed shelf. I thought about the gunship, the AT-TE and the fighter tank. Then I thought about the 2nd half 2009 sets, of which I have none of. They are overpriced and overexaggerated. THE QUESTION: ARE LEGO SETS BETTER THAN THEY ARE WHEN THEY WERE TEN YEARS AGO??? I think not, although they are better in some ways, but uglier in pricing. Check brickset: http://www.brickset.com/browse/themes/?theme=Star Wars&year=2009

Looks like to me that you have a collector's hairpiece.

What is the cheapest set with asoka?
CloneCommanderDelta7 replied to Emperor Claudius Rome's topic in LEGO Star Wars
If you want a good set, a Republic set or a good set to counter a seperatist army thn go for the AT-TE Walker. It needs a bit of work to make it perfect (like building walls to go between the armoured plates see here) Other than that, look on eBay or bricklink (I don't use bricklink, but I use eBay sometimes). -
8265 Wheel Loader
CloneCommanderDelta7 replied to Blakbird's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
The photos are great themselves, but can't wait for the review so you can tell us what each function is. The only dislike from the 'looks' perspective is taht the bucket is a bit further out then I thought it would be, but it looks good with the 4-wheel drivetrain. All it needs is a motor to be hooked up to the engine and it could move. -
It's ashame that the Rebel Blockade Runner looks so small, I hope it is a fake picture, personally. Look at the scale of the one studs compared to the whole set.

What licensed themes will end next year?
CloneCommanderDelta7 replied to legoindy01's topic in LEGO Licensed
The words of an Imperialist (shakes head sadly). How could you say that???? I wish Lego Indy would end unless they make better sets! Like the scene where Indy is on the submarine, make a good submarine from the RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK. But spongebob was poorly graded at the start and was doomed. Disney I believe is doomed as well, although it may have a great start. And the newer sets have great new figures like the Rebel Commandos, and we may have had more single figure-only sets if Hasbro wasn't so whiney about it. And what has Hasbro made themselves that was really good apart from Transformers, (The movies are good [2007 & 2009] but the figures are bad) that they didn't buy off another company. That was a rant that didn't mean anything apart from nothing. Mindless Banter. -
Ideas for new Disney licensed sets?
CloneCommanderDelta7 replied to johnsocal's topic in LEGO Licensed
I like the idea of a Mindstorms Walle. A toy story radio control car (the one that saves them in the first one when they are on the removals truck) would be pretty clever and good if it would be well made and well designed. The first battle scene in Bolt would be fabulous. -
Big MOC - Agents HQ
CloneCommanderDelta7 replied to brickzone's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Cool model, I like the deployment ramp and the pool table. Great work. And the arcade machines, the list goes on and on. Its these extras that Lego models lack that make mocs great. Imagine a Pool Table and Arcade Machines on the bridge of Admiral Ackbar's ship. -
I love that cap, and the flag is strange, aalmost like it was made backwards. Ha Ha. But that cap is great, I hope they continue making it in furture sets.

You know, I can't stress enough about the need for a Republic Artillery Gun, like Pedro's, which was awesome (it was Pedro I think, in case I made a mistake). That and the minifigures would be Rex, Cody (Cody if it would be off the episode with Chopper and Seargent Slick) Clone Troopers, Gunner, and a few Jettroopers. New troopers such as the Heavy Trooper, Airbourne Trooper (the ones that abseil on Utapau) in various new sets. Bye for now...

This is from the Lego Company right? Then of course they would have tilted the other way, to obscure our view. They will not tell us until due time. EDIT: simonjedi, could you take a screenshot a little earlier, it looked a lot less blurry, its worth a try. Its the 30th anniversary of Empire Strikes Back, so it will be Hoth, although if it was prequal Trilogy then it would be almost definately Galactic Marines. 2011 will be either Clone Wars if the liscense is continued; Endor battlepacks if it ends. Those are my views.

[REVIEW] Anniversary Silver Stormtrooper Magnet
CloneCommanderDelta7 replied to PDQAg's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Great Value, a long blaster and a chrome figure, can't go wrong (until it rubs off) -
YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS! That'd all be like Irina Spalko. (Shivers)

I know this may be a rant, but $200 AUD for The Battle For Endor! I really hope its just the credit crunch!

Okay, the background story is... The dwarves were going to attack the AAT. The did so with a catapult but ruined the whole thing in the process. The reason they wanted to use it was that the rest of my Republic Army were far away and their horses weren't going to pull any carts any further. So they constructed a castle fort atop the smoldering wreackage of the AAT and used the horses anyway. P.S. KimT-Bland and Bleak mean dull. I don't know, maybe they're just Australian slang.

The jetpacks are really good but it seems to me that they are extremely bland or bleak.

Monster Trucks have small chasis and big wheels! If I were to buy this set, then it wouldbe for the motorbike, body armour and Agent Swipe! Great Review Oky-Wan Kenobi, -
REVIEW: 8970 Robo Attack
CloneCommanderDelta7 replied to mania3's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
For all sets exluding Star Wars, I say meh usually. But your review has shown me something. Great review! -
I found this on a German Lego site (called Imperiumedsteine or something I can't remember or recall), I uploaded it to brickshelf and deeplinked it here.

I am fully supporting LOTR and HALO Something like Lord of the Rings, since the Hobbit is coming up. Would love Lego Uruk-Hai! Wave One- Nazgul Ambush-Gandalf, Nazgul, Fellbeast, Witch-King, 2 Gondor Troop/rangers, Famirmir and horse and Osgiliith ruins Amon Hen Scourge-Lurtz, 2 fully Equipped Uruk-Hai, Borimir, Aragorn, Pippin, Merry, Legolas, Gimli Some other sets like that involving the Balck Gate, Minas Tirith, Helm's Deep and the Peloner Fields for starters.

CloneCommanderDelta7 replied to BillytheKid's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yes, I knew the AT-TEs were all Clone Wars but I was including them in the picture, not yours specifically. No harsh feelings of course. Maybe you should make the older gunship a makeover and make it an 'ARC' gunship. That's just an idea though. Great armies, everyone! -
I think they all meant Palpatine the senator! There are no previous minifigures of him.
