  1. I like free stuff...
  2. Hahahahah, that was awesome. I was generally distressed when I saw that. I'm just glad it was a joke. Kudos.
  3. I spent almost every dollar I earned in 6 months to buy every Lego set that was predominantly Imperial Guards/Soldiers. And I have a bunch of other Pirate sets as well.
  4. Those churches are disgusting... in that they are amazing. *drool*
  5. Glued... I still want one.
  6. I wish instead of bringing out a 4 + clock, Lego would bring out A NEW PIRATE LINE!!!!
  7. I wish I had enough extra pieces (or the will to take apart my Pirate sets) to make MOCs that cool.
  8. I wish I lived in a fort like that. But, y'know... With indoor plumbing and good food and such.
  9. I would probably have to say Vikings were the best theme. It's an interesting theme, it's never been done before, there are some great sets, and Vikings in general are just awesome.
  10. Is your wand a lightsaber blade? Wait a sec, Darth Vader never went to Hogwarts... No, no none of this is adding up!
  11. Thank you everyone. I am glad to be 18 and hope to get more Lego than is healthy or accomodable by my house. WHOOO!!!!
  12. Hahahahahahahahahah! That MOC is so cool! That inspires me to recreate scenes like that. I need to make a Captain Jack Sparrow figure or something so I can recreate some Pirates of the Caribbean scenes.
  13. I always thought a cool idea for a Pirate set would be something to do with a shipwrecked Pirate or something who hallucinates a mermaid. And, a good looking one, not a fishy one like in Harry Potter.
  14. I think the Pirate theme is fine the way it is. It would be kind of cool to have a mermaid or something for a bit of humour for a stranded swabby who's been in the sun too long, but monsters and stuff is going a bit too far.
  15. I like the Redcoats. They're so Army and commanding. Plus, they're inherently British....
  16. Let's hear about some ships! We need a new Pirate ship, don't we?!
  17. Ah, Sting. So this is the ship you told me about that used the 4+ boat hull. I'm impressed, it's actually a fine set. Well done to the designer!
  18. What's with this? I have heard loud and clear that the Viking line is now available in North America and not a single store has got a whisper of Scandinavia. What gives? Can anyone tell me?
  19. I agree with this Sting character who I have had no prior dealings with and am not consorting with secretly to overthrow the Lego corporation and get them to come out with some good ideas, in full. Bring on the sets we were all bloodthirsty for!!!!
  20. I voted for the Skull's Eye Schooner because it looks the most evil, and Pirates are nasty dudes. But historically accurate, the Black Seas Barracuda is the best one. It looks the most like an Imperial Galleon, which is what Pirates wanted. They'd get as close to a ship that thought the Pirates were friendly, then they'd send up the Jolly Roger and fire a broadside. Can anyone say "Let the looting begin?!". Pirates went for surprise. Crazy buggers.
  21. I told you man! White hands. White trimmed bicorne. White epaulettes. Distinguished looking face, perhaps with white beard. Blue Admiral jacket. Black cape. White triple plume in hat. White pants. Give him a sabre too. Done. HEED ME!!!
  22. Just a little backstory: When I was 1 the Pirate line came out. As I got older I realized how much I wanted everything from El Dorado Fortress to the Black Seas Barracuda. But, 5 year olds don't score too well in the money department. Anyway. Eventually I got a few sets, but as I was privvy to more and more money... there were less and less Pirate sets. I was not able to really collect them until after I moved to Canada from Scotland in 1995. Then I discovered eBay. In 5 months and after about $800, I got to where I am now. But I'm not stopping there... Here's my collection: 1729 Barnacle Bay 1747 Pirate's Treasure Surprise 1723 Value Set featuring Imperial Cannon 6232 Skeleton Crew 6237 Pirate's Plunder 6245 Harbour Sentry 6246 Crocodile Cage 6247 Bounty Boat 6249 Pirate's Ambush 6259 Broadside's Brig 6263 Imperial Outpost 6265 Sabre Island 6266 Cannon Cove 6267 Lagoon Lock-up 6271 Imperial Flagship 6274 Caribbean Clipper 6276 El Dorado Fortress 6277 Imperial Trading Post 6289 Red Beard Runner That's it for now....
  23. My own personal bias towards Pirate Lego says YES! Pirates deserve every little bit they can get.... Castle can have one too...
  24. I always wanted that set. Too bad I was a poor 10 year old when it came out.... I congratulate you!
  25. I am very interested to know what kind of Pirate sets the fans of Lego want to see. For example, harbours, blacksmith shops, fishermen, new ships, galleons, anything! I want some more ideas from people who really appreciate the Pirate lines so that I can include them in my sporadic e-mails suggesting new Pirate sets to Lego. Now be as descriptive as you want. I want to see your idea of a good Pirate set in my head!
