looking for ideas on how to build my clone army with stormtroopers and first order troopers involved

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
BigJoe replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Would anyone agree that since the faces are basically the same on clones as they are on the first order troopers that they would go great in the same overal army? and for the first order troopers. Is there anywhere you could go to get them without the sets? In bulk? -
Thank you and would you happen to no it any of the new troopers would be clones or could be used in clone armies?

I havent personally had the problem with the X-wing but I've heard allot bout it. some people switched it up so that it would work like its supposed to. i would say wait but thats just my oppinion. Currently trying to get the Transport, Snow speeder and Elite Tie. and hey By the way does the Tie actually have to pilot locations or is one for a rear gunner or something?

They actually aren't that bad. Sure they aren't Normal but they have a nice twist. Just be happy Rex is still a good guy

i read somewhere tht because of how not many humans would join they ended up recruiting aliens. unless im thinking of sith troopers which I doubt "As the ranks of the Stormtrooper Corps were steadily replenished with enlisted troopers from both Human and Non-Human sources alike, the Empire's once heavy reliance on clones diminished over time, mainly due to the loss of Kamino and other various worlds that held cloning facilities.[30] In addition to the highly expensive operation of consistently producing clone soldiers, the practice was complicated by two other reasons—the most effective clones that were grown in the Kaminoan-fashion took too long to reach full maturity and the fast-grown Spaarti clones were of extremely poor quality." This is what i found "The new practice of recruiting Non-Humans as stormtroopers was continued by the Imperial Remnant. Over a century after the fall of the old Empire, the Remnant eventually reformed itself into a new Empire that was protected by stormtroopers composed of Humans, Near-Humans, Humanoids and even Aliens that hardly even resembled the Human anatomy standards. Non-Human stormtroopers were not the only new additions to the Empire's resurgent army, however; Human females became more common within the stormtrooper ranks by 130 ABY."

i realize this but it never does tell during the movies if the stormtroopers are clone or non-clone and you have to remember that some species besides humans were used so there would be a change in the armor for them even on the outside

modifications to the armor so that non-standard troopers can wear their armor and have no issues with it. If its a faceless army y not use blank heads

The mods are the difference and yes its a "faceless" army so if thats the case then y arent they just blank heads instead of clone heads huh

it matters because of the fact tht NON-clones had different armor. NON-clones had modifications to fit them

It would not cost $1000 up front to buy 4 of those sets for 16 stormtroopers in the US. you must be crazy. ive done it. it only cost bout $50 give or take $10
-
would still help if they had at least one face different then the others

I realize this but until Lego starts putting other faces on them besides clone faces I will treat them as clones

Technically the stormtroopers (Unless it says differently) ARE mainly clone troopers so you could use them however you want

I could see this coming out as a set. That is SICK. Only question is who would it come with for Figs?
-
Wouldn't it just be easier then for you to buy both and mix the heads? I collect Star Wars not Marvel so if i even considered buying Marvel it would have to be a dang good reason. There are only few Minifigs that If Lego does make deserve Colored visors. The Republic special forces such as Omega squad for example is one of such Minifigs that would be really popular I believe and should have a non-standard visor. I find it better to buy what you need. The Inquisitor is a very nice figure and would work well with the Shadow Guard. I do see your point though. Sticking to two sets is hard to do. Especially with what you intend to do with the guards. I bought 2 of the sets and I love them. I have the Shadow Guard and Shadow Troopers with my Republic army Since the Shadow troopers unless told otherwise are basically clones and the Guards are just basically the elite for of the Royal Guards. Currently I have my Shadow guards protecting Yoda on "Missions" and the 4 Royal guards that i have protecting him when he is at "Home" since i don't yet have Palpatine

I wish they could make more sets. So many different types of soldiers, Jedi, and Sith. I bought 4 of the sith speeder sets and use the republic troopers under the commander of Jace Malcom or under Commander Cody at times as an elite scouting unit. (Yes I realize the time difference but its the only other use i have for them since they are orange and white anyways)

What about the newer set for Star Wars Rebels. It comes with Four of them for only about $13

I hate how the new Grievous and the CW Grievous dont have capes. I really think that Lego needs to change that
