  1. I think you may just be reading too much into that email. I hope you're right, but that's not much different from them saying 'no comment'. It's just a bit friendlier.
  2. Agreed. I don't think we would get one after only one wave, though. It could be a couple of years before we see something like that. Maybe they could include it in a bluray release exclusive to Lego S@H.
  3. Technically, the Chopper Showdown Wolverine had a mask. It was just printed on his back. I think this theme will last for a long time. The biggest draw of the sets are the characters, and with so many of them having a wardrobe full of costumes they could eventually just release small sets with a hero and a villain to fight with some sort of small scene. Heck, each set could be a small part of a larger scene. Think of a build able street scene. Each set comes with a little bit of it. Wolverine alone has his brown suit, normal blue and yellow, weapon x, commando soldier, age of apocalypse, etc. Each one has several and I would be highly tempted to get each one. I can't wait for a set to include an ultra build style sentinel vs a minifig X-man.
  4. Oh goodness. Don't even start trying to understand who Ronin is if you don't already read some of these comics that he is in. This may have all changed in recent months but Ronin is the codename hawkeye uses after he comes back from the dead. He takes over that codename from a female ninja chick named Echo who wore the suit before him. He can't be hawkeye at the moment because bullseye is posing as him with the avengers who are actually all evil and called the dark avengers. Bullseye enjoys saving defenseless women while dressed as hawkeye, killing their attackers with hawkeye-ish arrows, and then killing the woman he just saved for the fun of it. Confused yet? You should read Ultimates volume 1 & 2. I enjoyed them a lot. I found volume 3 to be a bit on the awful side. Now, though, they've reset everything so Ultimates may have started over, I think. That may also be a good place to start. Find a good comic shop in your area and ask the people there for recommendations. BUT shouldn't this kind of conversation be in another section of the forum or another forum all together? To bring it back on topic I built the Wolverine chopper, shield truck, and Cap sets. I enjoyed them all. I like the cap figure, but his set was pretty lacking. Everything in it I could have done without. I also think the blue on the minifig should have been much lighter. The dark blue just kind of dulls the look and makes him a bit bland.
  5. Yep. This comic you saw was most likely from the Ultimates series from the Ultimate Marvel universe. The Avengers movie seems most heavily based on this series. I would have to go back and check, but I can't say I've ever seen the quinjet designed as the movie has it. I believe they just use military transports in the Ultimates such as Blackhawks and Ospreys. The quinjet is a decades old creation for the Avengers in the normal Marvel universe of characters called 616. I'm not positive who created it or why it's named the 'quinjet'. I would have to research the wiki. I believe they just melded bits from all aspects of the comic lore to create the story. Thus, we have a SHIELD created quinjet. Great. Now I'm going to be spending my downtime at work tomorrow reading up on this very topic.
  6. It looks to be about 3:00... And 3:00am is the witching hour. I haven't been a fan of that hour since I saw The Haunting of Emily Rose. I've found it to feel very creepy. Good on you, TLG.
  7. I'm not sure if this has been mentioned already or not as I'm only on page 65 and trying to catch up. Back there wave 2 possibilities are being discussed. My idea is what if Dracula/Vampire Lord wins and achieves his goal of eclipsing the sun? It would open up a 2nd wave for new monsters, sets, and monster fighters. I'm a big fan of Atlantis and aquaraiders and all the underwater themes so maybe Dracula starts hiding the gemstones, as they're the key to both starting and stopping the eclipse, so he sends the ghost ship off with some of them. The ship gets one, and the captain has already hidden a few. Back to my love for underwater themes, maybe one of them has been thrown over board thinking the fighters could never possibly get to it, but the inventive fighters come up with a steampunk-ish looking submarine to dive down and get it. Maybe an ancestor of Brains built it. Anyways, the swamp creature could either come back or we could meet some of his underwater monster friends. Just my thoughts. Also, this theme seems very close to Monster Squad. An amazing movie if you've never seen it. It's many gems instead of one, and they're trying to eclipse the sun instead of opening a monster portal. That could also be a good idea for wave 2. Maybe Dracula is looking for reinforcements.
  8. Very nice Lex Luthor. I WILL have to get that. I was hoping that a new Superman fig would be released in the DC wave, but the trailer for the game even has him missing his boots. So I don't see them changing it up if the game didn't even change it. It would have been pretty easy to do in the game.
