  1. You guys can calm down a bit. Those that want ancient ruins, just wait a bit to see all the Atlantis sets, I think you'll be fairly pleased And those looking for sea creatures I can almost assure you that based on the preliminary shots I have seen you will get some. MLB
  2. Now that a picture is leaked I can confirm 100% that these are real. I have seen most of the preliminary shots of the sets here at the LEGO Store. All I will say right now is hold your judgements until you see some of the figures, they are awesome. MLB
  3. Well I just punched in the 7-digit code by the bar code here at the LEGO store and the name of this kechain is: "Keychain Angel" Perhaps we'll see some Christmas themed keychains coming out soon. MLB
  4. Nice review. I also picked this set up and think it is really slick. The only problem I have with it is that the bucket on the wire doesn't go back far enough to the lower station for the Power Miners to reach. There is a dark gray platform on the ground level that looks like it would be perfect for loading/unloading, if only the bucket went back that far. Looking forward to the Cave Crusher review. It really does look like one of the best Power Miners sets for 2009. MLB
  5. I have 121,723 pieces. I too keep track of my collection on a spread sheet. The most time consuming part is counting large pick a brick cups filled with small pieces. MLB
  6. 1. Your first Lego set? -Futuron Monorail 2. Your favorite set? -Space Police 1: Mission Commander 3. The worst thing you did with your bricks? (you know, chewing bricks, etc. :D) -Chewing two plates to separate them 4. The first MOC you built and published on EB? -River Citadel; http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=389550 5. Set you wanted as a child and didn't get? -Century Sky Way; The best City airport ever! 6. Favorite MOC you built? -Huge work in progress 7. Worst MOC you built? -My "coming out of my dark ages" castle wall; http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=308412 8. Favorite MOC on the web? Castle on the water by Rebel Rock; http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=277535 MLB
  7. Really lovely work. The jagged, natural landscaping around the castle is very nice! I love all the different angles that you achieved on the castle, it has a very organic shape to it. And the stone work on the castle is so awesome. It's the most successful mixing of old grey and bley I've ever seen. Excellent job! MLB
  8. Well I did get a look at the box today at work. I don't want to spoil any surprises but I can give you a couple of hints; -It will have mini-figures. Five. -It does have 11 engines in the back -Approx 1,400 pieces MLB
  9. Well a certain LEGO Store that I work at got the "Display Box" for the RBR today and I can confirm it will have minfigures but cannot say anything more. The good news about this is that the release date might be sooner than we thought since at least one LEGO Store has an empty display box. MLB
  10. Looks like someone is compensating for something. But seriously, that is an awesome MOC you got there. I love the amount of detail that you put into the outside. And like others have said, it's nice to see the castle wall pieces being used so nicely. Love the tiling on the interior shot as well! Can't wait to see more pictures! MLB
  11. Hey allen, Here are certain sets that are a must for MOCing -Drawbridge Defense; great figures and lots of light gray arches -King's Castle Siege; great for bricks, BURPS and figures. If you can afford it, getting 2 or 3 of these would be a good move -Medieval Market Village; Good for figures, windows and useful accessories Bricklink is a great way to add to your light gray collection. You'll want to have plenty of inverted slopes, slopes, arches, 1x1s, 1x2s, 1x3s, 1x4s and 2x2s in light gray. Shopping at a large store close to where you live will help decrease the number of orders you have to make, and thus, shipping costs. If you are near a LEGO Store this is also a really great way to accumulate some much needed pieces. They usually carry light gray 1x3s and 1x4s. If you stack the bricks right you can fit around 400-500 bricks in a large cup ($14.99 US). Also, be sure to check with one of the employees about checking their extra Pick A Brick stock in the back if you don't see a piece you want on the wall. Most employees will bring out extra pieces from the back if requested. Good luck! I look forward to seeing your MOCs. MLB
  12. Wow this is amazing! I love how everything fits together so nicely. I would never have guessed that this was created by multiple people, it all flows together. The forest is my favorite part, it's very lovely! MLB
  13. Thanks Dadster. One half is torn down already. Once the pictures were taken yesterday I started to tear it apart. It has been built and on display at my house for about 3 months so it's definitely time to move on to the next project. Hopefully I'll start to churn out more MOCs with less down time in between. MLB
  14. Thanks guys for the positive and constructive feedback, I really do appreciate it. It is built on 9 32x32 base plates. Of course the middle 3 are actually 6 16x32 base plates to allow it to split open. MLB
  15. This is my latest MOC. It is a citadel built on top of a small mountain overlooking a river. It was on display at the LEGO Store at the Mall of America last May. This is my 4th large MOC since emerging from my dark ages. I hope you enjoy it! 16. Yes, I could be wrong. However, the official list that the store received from Enfield, CT for June releases did NOT include the larger Space Police 3 sets (among other themes/sets). This could change in the next few weeks, but this is what I have been told as of now. MLB
  17. I work at a LEGO store and my understanding is that we will not see the larger SPIII sets in June. It looks like they will be released later in the summer. Also most of the exclusives for Target/TRU look to be late summer releases. MLB
  18. Best review on eurobricks! That Uncle Anchor is so sassy. MLB (Ooo first post)
