OK, i've updated my collection pic's. I don't think the folder is public yet, but here's some deeplinks. And here's the fig's for the sets not on display. The folder is Here and the list of my sets is here (feel free to add me as a friend ) -
As quoted, this topic is for disscussing UCS set is and UCS sets in general. Not what UCS set's we want. There are other topics that are for that

10195 Republic Dropship & AT-OT Discussion
Legoman replied to Darth Legolas's topic in LEGO Star Wars
OK Well, i don't like the set BECAUSE i hate TCW. That's why i would say sets like The HSD and DGS are better (IMO) because i can display them in my scenes of the movies That a sufficant answer? -
EH? I don't know anyone that would say the AT-ST isn't UCS!
-
I fully aggree with you. I was told any set Over $100 goes under UCS on S@H As far as i'm concurned, lego is wrong. I continue to stand by my list of UCS sets
-
Please don't take this the wrong way, but where did you get that list? Is it supposed to be all 10XXX sets, UCS sets, or both? Prehaps that list should be revised...
-
Really? Why? sure, mabye it was a good ship, but not as a UCS. It was small and pathetic IMO No. Grevious is definatly UCS. He's not a technic figure. He includes a plaque and stand, and he's huge. The other technic sets sucked, and were... Nothing. Grevious is a large model that is a UCS set IMO As for 10188...... I am a bit confused about this one. First off, no, it doesn't say UCS on the box. And No, it's not a UCS set. It seems to be an extreme collector's model. Bigger than ever. It's definately not UCS, but it's pritty close in my books. It's the biggest non-ucs Set lego has ever done. But people seem to love it, and it's nice. I wish i had the money for one, but atm i'm saving for 10019.

As much as i know what you mean about it being easy to build yourself, i like it better when lego does stuff themselves. I'm not much of a MOCer BUT... I'm not so sure i aggree that tie'a res boring. Sure, they've been way over-done by lego, but i still want a UCS one... Well they tried a Naboo fighter and that was... err.... crap. But then again Maul was excellent. I wouldn't mind a UCS gunship, but there are more i would rather On the hole, PT sets are fine by me, it's just there aren't many iconic ships there...

Woah thats insane! Anyone would be an idiot to bid on this. I'm hoping i'll get one somhow, but i won't pay over $50NZ for one! (hey, i got a gold C3-PO for $20 )

10195 Republic Dropship & AT-OT Discussion

Amen Brother! -
Although, 10026 was a peice of crap. I call it a UCS, but unwillingly. Seriously, 7660 was better than that AND $20 less. Seriously... UCS sets should be BIG, GREAT ship... What a let down I Really want a UCS Standard TIE. 10th anniverary. Perfect. Please Please don't kill me. But i have to say this. IF LEGO EVER RELEASES A UCS CLONE WARS SET, I WILL DIE. I know people here may want them, but IMO it would be a bad move by lego. Here's why: Lego is a KIDS toy (believe it or not ) To most young kids, CW IS star wars, which is why lego is flooding out CW sets. However, It also works the other way. Lego works to bring out CW sets for the kids. Hence why most UCS sets have been OT. KIDS want sets to be fun, not big ships that they can't lift and that just sit there. Where as AFOL's (and some TFOLS) like UCS ships as collector's items, that they just display. CW is aimed at kids, where as the real movies are based at youth/Adults. What kid wants a big ship from their favourite TV show to just sit there looking useless. And what AFOL want Therefore, UCS sets are more likely to be OT

Some sets aren't even exclusive! EG the Sandcrawler... I have no idea how anyone ever desided THAT was UCS Don't get me wrong, i have and love my sandcrawler... I just wouldn't call it UCS, Just 'classic'

OK lets see, Many people have many opinions on this but here's my veiw: UCS sets: Are BIG. Are Expencive. Are Detailed. Are Iconic Ships Have a Display Plaque (OR they are a statue type thing) Having a Display Plaque is the main part for me. Here's the list of sets i would say are UCS 7181: TIE Interceptor 7191: X-wing Fighter 7194: Yoda 10018: Darth Maul 10019: Rebel Blockade Runner 10026: Special Edition Naboo Starfighter 10030: Imperial Star Destroyer 10129: Rebel Snowspeeder 10134: Y-wing Attack Starfighter 10143: Death Star II 10174: Imperial AT-ST 10175: Vader's TIE Advanced 10179: Ultimate Collector's Millennium Falcon 10186: General Grievous And i have Brickset on my side! That's right, Not: Sandcrawler Death Star Cloud City Etc.

I saw this on brickshelf. I it! It's fantastic! Lego better release a UCS standard TIE soon, I've been wanting one forever! One suggestion - Any chance of bigger wings? They look really great and all... But a bit small to me. Great job and keep up the good work!
-
The Endor rebel's don't have Smiley faces! Woohoo!!! Excellent! You can see all the set's i'll be buying in my sig.
-
True True... I guess not everyone is willing to sacrifice a computer on their desk for a UCS MF... But i'm happy with my choice I must say, i really like Home one. The more i look at it, the better it looks I hope it's around $50, not the original $100. If it's $50, i might get 2 or 3... A-wings... And that hanger/crane thing is *drool*

THE OLD Official Eurobricks Straightshooters List
Legoman replied to The Middleman's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
+1 for Darth Yoda. Thanks for the trade, i was trying to get my hands on that set for a while... Great trade! A+++ -
I havn't got the set yet, but apparently so...
-
Sorry, but that made me laugh! The point of UCS sets is to be Far bigger, and beyond normal figure size. Admittably, the MF broke this trend, but it still made sense because it's a big ship made to minifig size. Getting UCS sets for the figs really makes no sence to me May i ask how much you got? I'm not going to sell mine, but would be intrested to know what they're worth... My thoughts: If someone was a collector i think they would perfer the UCS I actully think there's still hope for figs... Think about it, they (no idea how) managed to get vader into his mid-scale tie. But i still think the ship is bad... But thats just my opinion, no-one flame me!
-
I would say no. Sure, he's awsome, but no figure is worth $30US. (I go crazy when i see the price of a printed boba.) I managed to pick up the set of Ebay for $35, and i'm ahappy with it. But ONE figure for $30... You could get 3 battlepacks (12 Figs + extras) for the same price... Unless your a MF collector... Then it's understandable (but still insane ) Just my opinion...
-
Same here! EXACTLY the same thought.... I might as well have copy + pasted it But the thing is, as completists, we already have 3 perfectly fine Millenium falcons . If i wanted a parts pack, i would buy other sets with parts i actully want . For lego, IMO, MID-scale ships are
