You passed this beauty up? I can't beleive the other staff trusted you to be a MOD if we can't trust you with buying a lovely set like this when you see it (Just kidding...) I really like this set, Gunray rocks, and that other fig isn't too bad. The ship is great, i don't think they could have made it better! Once again, i can't wait for this beauty to get over here to NZ!

7749 CIS droid tank is availible in NZ warehouses for $48.99 It's the only set i've seen, yet one of the few i DON'T want
-
I was the CIS tank today, but didn't buy it. It's not a set i want, and it was the only new SW set they had, so i passed. Was tempting though.
-
Ok, well i just got back. I went to Hornby, blenheim rd, and barrington. Blenheim had nothing new Hornby had the 7748 CIS Tank, some PM's, and a new creator set. Barrington had the new 7748 CIS Tank, and a new creator set. 7748 CIS tank was $48.99 I didn't pick it up. It's not a set i want.

Woah awsome! I wasn't expecting to see anything here for at least another month and a half! Did you see prices? I'll go round as many CHCH warehouses as i can today!

Nice review. I got two of these in the mail yesterday, and must say, i really like it! At first i thought it looked... well, pritty average, but now that it's here i really like it. Its shineyness is like a magnetic field pulling you in Looks great next to C-3PO I'm a little confused though, the chrome, is it sprayed on like the gold on 3PO or is it the whole way through? I can't tell, it looks the same all over, no weird colours in the un-sprayed parts
-
Well, the Chrome Vader has arrived! Send me a PM if you're intrested (including the kind of price you're open to paying please). If there's not much intrest here it'll go on trademe

5 Chrome Vaders? Man... And far out... Thats some HUGE armys there! Do you have all the ships and walkers to go with them? And P.S. is that a fake Chrome C-3PO? -
I'm pretty sure it will. My guess is that is will me minifig scale (i don't mean to scale with minifigs, i mean a set FOR minifigs, similar to all the other downsized ships like the star destroyer), have an interior, and it will be a decent size with a fair amount of figs. Hopefully
-
Oh please, Don't get me started Man, I'm finding it such a hard wait for pics of the RBR. C'mon, hurry up! Endor is looking nice still, and i might meed to try painting some spare ewoks... That one looked great
-
Really? Do you have any evidence for this? I've never heard that before... That might well explain it. Yes, I know that much. But the actual plastic is probably the cheapest part of lego. Most money goes to designers, licencing, mold's ect... Besides, baseplates don't actually use that much plastic. It's just very spread out plastic (look up it's weight in the BL guide if you question me there). Well, as i said, i use them as base's for my Star Wars scenes... Which are fairly large. At this point, i DO fork out the money, i'd just rather get them a bit cheaper Yes, I agree that they would be harder to produce because of their size, but still... And BTW, there are actully 50x50 baseplates Shutup you.... Ah... That makes a bit of sence i guess... OK, well it seems most people are happy to pay the price for them. However, I Continue to want more colours -Legoman

Hello everyone. Well, I'm currently aiming to get heaps of baseplates to be a Earth floor for many of my scenes. I've been trying to get green's, tan's, blue's and white's mostly. I'vebeen rather annoyed at the fact that they are so expencive. And i've started wondering - WHY are theso expencive? Don't get me wrong, i fully understand the fact of rarity and demend ect. for the BL prices. But heck, $5US and $10US for 1 peice, new in the shop? (obviously I'm refuring to the green and grey ones here) I just don't understand. It's one single mold. No licencing, and its a mold thats been around for many, many years, so there's no extra costs of a newer mold. I personally find it outragious, and really dissapointing. Then, my next question is, why are they so rare? these days, hardly any sets have normal baseplates. It's raised, or nothing. And the only colour you can buy seperately is green in 32 x 32 or grey in 48x48. What about selling other colours like brown, white, tan, black, and so on... Sure i can buy them off bricklink, but thats really expencive for baseplates which are no longer made. I really hope there is a reasonable answer as to why A) These are so expencive, and B) Why there is so little variety in whats availible in the way of baseplates. -Legoman

I must say i'm a little dissapointed with the ewoks. I prefer the originals to be honest. I'm glad i collected up the originals... I've got a good few now. But those other figs are all Amazing, and the set is beautiful!

Awsome! I love this set so much I Can't wait for it to come over to NZ

Yeah, I also was told $250USD. Thats $100 more than the UCS... I'm expecting somthing amazing. It's good that they're releasing a RBR this year.... I was really wanting one. This will hopefully drive down the price of the UCS too (still haven't got that one) I'm expecting the outside to be around the same - mabye a little bigger than the UCS, and include... 3 Rebels, Capt. Antillies, Leia, Vader, 3 Stormies, 1 Imperial officer, C-3PO, R2-D2 And silver Proticol droid. That's 13... I think thats around right considering the price/set. And i'm curtian it will be Ep:4
