) A female minifig Valkyrie with snap-on braided hair, spear, horse, and "lady-like" armored breastplate ) "Beowulf vs Grendel" (minifig vs monster, and sure it's a little fast and loose with history, but it fits the Viking theme nicely) ) "Thor vs Surtur" (hammer-wielding minifig against a red fiery giant) ) "Yggdrasill Forest Stronghold" (combining the old Forestmen idea with the mighty tree from Norse mythology, with lots of "good" minifigs) ) "Loki's Frost Giant Fortress" (combine Loki with "evil" frost giants and their icy castle. Use same giant as Surtur, but make blue instead of red)

I just finished building the "Midgard Serpent" set, and I just have to say...wow. Just wow. That Serpent figure is amazing--so elegant in design, and just plain cool. This makes me extra disappointed that the new Dino Attack beasties aren't done Lego-style.

Not to sound too snarky on my first post, but... You act like you're surprised that the sets are "really designed for kids"--OF COURSE they are. ;) Now, about those Vikings...they look absolutely amazing. The minifigs have soooo much personality. I'm gonna buy a ton of 'em, so they can sack and pillage my LEGO Towns and my Knight villages.
