  6. Hello all, Very soon I will be coming into some money, enough to make another mosaic, and I was wondering what suggestions people in the community may have. One thing that you have to keep in mind though is that whatever thing or person you suggest for me to mosaic has to be a pop art image as pop art images are a LOT easier to turn into small scale mosaics. So fire away. No idea is too wacky!
  7. Great reveiw brickster!
  8. When I introduced myself to eurobricks I noted that I collected vintage/classic lego form the 1950's/1960's and I was told that there was not a specific area to talk about it. So I thought for my first reveiw I would reveiw one of my classic sets. Sp here it goes! Name: 5 cyclists/motorcyclists Number of pieces: 5 Year released: 1958 Original price: Between 2 and 3 pence Continents released in: EU I purchesed this set quite recently as it was missing from my collection. This set was from the era when TLC were producing the old plastic HO and OO scale vehicles. The set has survived exactly 50 years to be here today and this particular set is in near mint condition. And now on to the reveiw... This is the outer sleve of the box and features a very colourfull design of a family building a plane (A very nice touch) On the reverse side is a picture of specialist parts you could buy at the time of release. And this is the inner sleve of the box which slides inside the outer sleve. On the thop and bottom ends of the box there is a picture of 4 of the bikes includes in the set all in full colour. And here is what you have been all waiting for...The contents. The list of the contents is as follows: There are 2 cyclists, 1 motorcyclist, 1 scooter and last but certainly not least 1 motorbike and sidecar. You can not really see it from any photo I could have taken but the detail really is amazing and well deserves it's mention in the reveiw. Scoring: Age:10/10 Detail:10/10 Playability:1/10 Piece count:2/10 Total:23/40 It may not score so well but I think it was a and still is an excelent set for it's time... Thanks... Buttons...
  9. This is my second mosaic although I did not actually make it. I bought it and another of some chap in America so all credit goes to him. Anyway it is of the New york Yankees logo and I think he did a very good job. I rescaled the image again. I think I have the hand of it by now. Again it is 48 x 48... Enjoy...
  10. It only cost me around £40 to make...
  11. Vig. 22c This is my entry in the PTV contest I think I am going to call it Standoff...Constructive feedback is always welcome as this is my first ever pirate MOC...Enjoy... I have now rescaled the pictures and they look a lot better My MOC is based on a standoff between two old rivals. The shore is sandy and rocky with little vegitation, but it has hiden gems waiting to be discovered. The two old foes are looking forward to fighting each other. Look out behind you!
  12. This is the first of my mosaics... And I think I have managed to rescale it by using Lord of pies tutorial in paint. It cost me just under £40 to make and I used Lugnets mosaic maker for the technical side of it. Here is the original image! It is 48 x 48 ... Enjoy! Thanks for all the advice, it has been a real help! Edit by Hinckley: I changed the pic to a link due to its size. Please check the site guidelines for posting standards and tutorials index for tips on resizing, thanks.
  13. Hello, I am Buttons. I am from the UK and have been a guest on eurobricks for some time now. I am very excited to meet everyone. I am interested in technic but I am open to any heme really depending on the quality of the set. I also make lego mosaics (some of which I am sure I will share soon) and I have recently taken to making pirate MOCs which again I am sure you will see in my entry for the pillage the village contest. And finaly I collect vintage lego cars and buildings from the 1950's and 1960's, I would be very interested if there were a place to discuss vintage lego here on eurobricks. If so could someone please let me know as I have yet to find one as a guest. I look forward to meeting you all. Buttons.
