Even though I've never played Mafia before(But I love following them anyway ),I'd like to take a go at it .

I hope you mean the bear .But anyway,I'm Canadian,and proud of it.One thing that I don't understand is why everyone says America is SSSOOOO great,yet Canada is LOADS better.I'm also glad that Lego decided to give Canada the 09 sets early this year .(I actually nabbed two Glatorians on the 2nd right before the Boxing day sales were going out ) And yes,I do watch Corner Gas,and no,I don't watch Degrassi.

Dude,that sucks.Though when I bought my friend the Dwarves Mine Defender for Christmas,I saw a DMD with the front of the box crushed in. It seems that the DMD is a main target for destruction,don't you think?

A while ago,I tryed to use the "View Members posts" feature,but a board message came up saying that I didn't have permission to use this feature(Keep in mind I had been able to use this Feature before this).A little while ago I tryed again,and it worked!When I looked through,everything was fine.But recently,there has been an error.The error is that after a few words of the post,some dots appear,and the rest of the post is cut off. So my question is:Is it the same with you?And do the MODs know about it?Was this done on purpose? I'm not complaining,its just somewhat strange. -The guy whose name sounds uncomfortably like a DSS-

My first set was 8242 Soldiers Fort(Pirates II).Unfortunately,the count has stayed at one since I bought it.(A.K.A 2 days ago )

Kay guys, I made a trip earlier today to TRU, and lo and behold, the 09 sets were there!I am now the proud owner of Soldiers Fort and the Asassin Droid BP . Other 09 sets that were there included at least 5 10th Anniversary Vaders Ties(Surprise,surprise ), and the Dump truck, Construction site, plus the 4WD with Horse Trailer from City. EDIT:There were some new Creator sets there too, but Bionifans are(Unfortunately)out of luck . -The guy whose name sounds like a DSS- UPDATE!(As of January 2nd,2009):I went to TRU just earlier today, and guess what was there?MORE 09 sets!I saw some bionicle sets(It was only the Glatorian, minus Malum and Skrall), and my freind SAID he saw some PM sets(He actually now has three of them). But I'm not sure. Oh, the rest of the Pirate sets were there too(Minus the Impulse sets). Please note that, even though its already 09, Canada usually gets the sets late(Like sometime in February or April). EDIT:There are Summer 09 sets at my local TRU, They had all the Castle and Agents 2.0 sets there, and had Gold Heist, Space Truck Getaway(SP III), and the Rock Wrecker(PM).

I got the TRU flyer yesterday,and it said they had 09 sets!Not all of them were displayed on the page,but here are the ones that were: Shipwreck Hideout(Pirates) Brickbeards Bounty(Pirates) Loot Island(Pirates) Soldiers Fort(Pirates) Construction Site(City:Construction) Dump Truck(City:Construction) 4WD with Horse Trailer(City:Farm) Rally Truck(Technic) Ferrari Victory(Racers) Thunder Raceway(Racers) Jump Riders(Racers) and Propeller Power(Creator). I'll try and get a picture of the flyer page as soon as possible!(And I'm going to TRU on the weekend,so I'll tell you guys if I get anything )

17. LegoJoe - The Fall of the Survivors... 15. pe668 - Buried Trash 'n' Treasure 3. JimButcher - Attack on the Central Square! I picked these three because:JimButchers is another original entry,I mean,a guy on fire?I haven't seen a Guy on FIRE in a Pirate MOC before,and the fire is attached in many different ways,making the guy look like he actually IS on fire.Another good building technique is how the bomb is smashing through the sign.A great entry.And have I mentioned that this is a Smashing contest? Anyway,onto pe668s entry,Yet another good entry,the Custom Figs are very good,and the dried blood in the cave is also good,but I would have personally used dark red for the dried blood.While LegoJoes is very good,depicting what would happen should the Old Pirates meet the new.And The Old would be massacred .Other good Entries include oDDerFiskens entry,wich is particularily cruel. All in all,some great entries.

I honestly didn't know there were other Canadians on EB. . . . Alas,it is true that Canada gets Lego sets late. BUT!There is hope!(At least for Edmontonians)So I have dreams about getting the new sets at the end of every Year(Last Year it was Antroz and Lewa Phantoka from Bionicle),but the boxe's always look nothing like the real ones(And all those times I got the sets Late).But this Time,the boxe's looked EXACTLY like the real ones!And I recognized the shelf!(superstore specifically)So don't lose hope fellow Canadians!There is hope!

Oky Wan Kenobi - Tower Raid 38. svelte_corps - Brickbeard the Felonious Fishmonger I picked these three because they show Pirate Cruelty in ways other than killing.Like Lord King of Everythings entry,taking a Baby from their mother?Thats got to be the most evil thing i've ever seen(Even in LEGO!).And Svelte_corps is also quite cruel,and there are quite a few innovative building techniques in there(Like the Bathtub and Railing /stair like things leading up from the main room to the Mermaid holding room,and the use of Crystal Skulls in the sealife area,with the other Mermaid tail hanging out of the crate).While Oky-Wan Kenobis does have a few more used examples of Pirate cruelty,but there used very effectively,and each room is different from the others,while still making it all look like one part of the same building,the only fault I could find was the absence of the dieing mans legs on the first floor,though there are very disgusting explanations for the absence . All in all,I think I chose some of the better entries in this contest .

Great MOC!I love the Gold 3-PO and the dead soldier(If its supposed to be a clone then maybe give him a Helmet ).I also like that you gave Fox the Printed Stormie legs .Is this the MOC you were talking about in your greeting Topic?

*Whistles*.Unfortunately,in CAD,all those together are $100(Give or take a few bucks).I think I'm going to get(At LEAST)Kraken Attackin,Cannon Battle,Pirate Survival and Loot island,wich adds up to about $50 CAD.But I still need ideas for the other $30. . . . . EDIT:Kay,I've decided what to get(I got a bit more Money).I've decided to get: #8397,Pirate Survival. #6239,Cannon Battle. #6240,Kraken Attackin'. #6241,Loot Island. And #6242,Soldiers Fort/#6253,Shipwreck Hideout.(Depending on whether I get #6243,Brickbeards Bounty for X-mas(If I don't,I get SH,if I do,I get SF) So a MOD can come and close this now .

Hmm.Well I want a relatively equal amount of both Imperials AND pirates,but those are definitely going on my list .(Thanks for the help .)

Hello,good people of EB,I need your help to solve something of a dilemma: I can't find the 09 Pirates in stores yet,but want to have a good chunk of money ready for when I do. By New Years(Wich is about the same time I'll go out looking again)I'll have $80.I need YOUR advice on wich combination of Pirates sets to get(And Yes,I know they've ALL been reviewed,but I still can't figure out wich ones I should get). I live in Canada(Wich makes the money Canadian),so the Prices are a bit different then the ones in other countries. Help is GREATLY appreciated.

I voted Yes,sometimes,yes,yes and yes.I was very satisfied with the way you and Oky solved problems and the like,am just itching to be part of the 2nd season,most of the posts were useful(Especially Chapter 3,wich went by pretty fast IMO) but some were useless and didn't advance the story at all,LOVED the 1st season,and the Format was great. But I noticed that there was at least one vote for the bottom on each part. . . . . . . . .
