I usually only play RTS games, started old school with C&C, and played a lot of warcraft 2. :D I love starcraft, dune, emperor, star wars galaxies, AOE, AOK, but I have to say my favorite lately is Stronghold Crusader. I wish my computer were better - I'd invest in Stronghold 2. *satis*

I remember that same story, but I have never seen anything to prove it you know? I had several of those Battlestar Galactica toys, and then halfway through the line they switched to non firing missiles - and I always wondered about how a kid could choke on something the size of a tic-tac. (If memory serves me, thats about how big those things were- maybe like a tic-tac with a tail) as for the cannon, I have four different types of cannons, all bought in the US. 1. firing cannons, both with the black lever and with the dark gray... 2. non firing cannon, but with the mechanism. Like with the spring removed. You can put a 1*1 round in and flick the back and it shoots. 3. non firing solid cannon - yup 4. non firing solid cannon, with a crossed cannon design on the top of the cannon barrel. why these are changed like that I have no idea. could be evolution of toys, could be worried about lawsuits... I have no idea. as to the idea that its easier to get a handgun than a firing lego cannon.. well thats a little silly. *satis* To get a handgun you do have to jump through several hoops, unless, of course, you are a criminal. Then there are just different hoops to jump through. If you want a firing lego cannon, well, just go to bricklink, or ebay. ;)

Last I heard there is going to be a possibility of getting the viking sets in the US. The PAB near San Jose said that they are going to be getting some towards the end of august, and that was straight from the manager there. Further, though this next is just an unsubstantiated rumor, I heard that TRU knows how successful this line is going to be so they pitched a fit to be the ones to carry them in the US, exclusively this year. like I said though, the TRU thing is so far unproven, but might give you a glimmer of hope. You may want to wait a week or two and find out if anyone who lives near a PAB will find out for you. Next time I go visit my in laws (in about two weeks) I can tell you which store I am stopping by! *satis*

also if you want to start simple you can download a template from here if you want the bitmap of an all black torso. If you want to use any of the jpgs from that page as a bitmap what you must do is save the jpg then open it with paint, save it as an 8 bit color bitmap, then resave it as a 32 bit bitmap. this will make all the pixels an even color, and then you can recolor any of them with simple clicks of the mouse. Starcraft, Warcraft 2, Mario Brothers, Megaman... but if I could make a Lego line it wouldnt be based on a game... it would be based on a series of books. :-D Dragonlance, A song of Ice and Fire, or the Pern novels for castle lines, but I would really like to see a line of Discworld characters. |-D

that is freakin cool. I have seen some awesome stuff out there, and it doesnt even need to be huge. i will freely admit that my son is a better bionicle builder than i am, but then again he plays with them all the time. :-D

wow that is an awesome fig. I can't quite make out the gun though.. is it a custom? a little armory? or what? anyway, I love the bulletproof vest. Looks great!

Ok, So I have some space, town, and some accessories up for grabs. Blacktron (2 figs) blacktron 2 (4 figs) red visor, space police with green visor, classic town minifigs, including cops, bakers, cool ones you know? Also I have wheels, (lots) cockpits and the like. All I am really looking for are minifig parts to customize. so I want grey heads and hands (for my orc army) and various colors of torsos and "dress" slopes. Just for inspiration... theres one.. (though not the best) here's another. I like this one... This one is nice.. it has a little quiz on the page... :-D unfortunately I cannot find my link to a recreation of a viking village. It was really cool. Had a blacksmiths house, a Jarls house, even had a place for the Lawmaking. Wish I could find it.. There are detail pics in the armor folder and in the dragonlance folder... (when public) Warlord when public Lord Monkey when public OK - now, I haven't finished the dragon lord ones, and while I am happy with the way they turned out, I will admit to being a little disappointed because the dragonlord ones are a bit darker than I thought they would be.. oh well. :D I love all the others, and the Valkyrie helmet was originally intended for the warlord there... it just looks right. Edited in: sorry I should have explained a couple of characters here for those unfamiliar: The Warlord (thats a gun, I am just not good at guns. :D ) Eric is from this page here here's his picture.. I saw it while browsing, and just liked the dude. Sturm Brightblade is from Dragonlance, and the others are just from my imagination. :D

Ok so over at MCN Red said he had some orc faces for us, and that Kamino would print them if we asked nicely. (and paid him of course) anyway, I also had redesigned my roman armor, and boy it came out nicely. - so the designs of the orc faces are Redbeans and the others are mine and Kamino printed them all. First the leader Kirg One Eye. a fierce warlord who has united the wandering tribes into a solid confederacy. Kirg is aided in keeping the forces of evil in line by the Night Lord - a shadowy and mysterious figure who greatly resembles the lavadude. Rulok is an older orc, a survivor of the man hunts of old. He is crafty and vicious.. a true role model for young orclings! Gromak the Wild is a chieftan from one of the tribes that was absorbed in the uniting. he is always looking for a way to increase his power in the new clans. the Fyrelaird was once an orc but through the darkest of magics he was joined with a fire daemon... and has been driven mad by the process. I actually looked around for awhile, because I had an idea floating in my head.. i just needed the right wings.. so I found one on a cheapie yu gi oh figure that was clearanced.. some sort of air sprite thingie.. dont know, dont care.. it was just perfect for slicing and dicing. ;)

Ok, so I was working on this helmet for the Warlord, and it turned out great. (I also have an awesome sword.. but you will see that later.) Anyway, while I wait to compile the Warlord, I had this nifty helmet just sitting there, and so of course I had to do SOMETHING with it... :D This led me to also customize a horse.. my first ever. :D Gallery when Public btw - I am sure there are many ways to portray a valkyrie. In the book I am reading on some of the myths of vikings, they seem to be portrayed as women waiting or summoning the souls of the dead to valhalla. Now I am not sure where the winged horses, and helmets come into play.. but thats how I always think of them. :
