Hoke drew near to Jess's side and whispers. "My words are measured. They are examined before they part my lips. Even now you are distracted. Focus on the task at hand. You may enjoy all the pleasure you will back in the Hall, but here, now, your life is tied to mine, as well as the others, and I will not have that cord unravel." Hoke nonchalantly walks off and examines the rest of the lab equipment. Hoke examines the area with his Magnifying Glass.

I agree. I even took it a little further with the appearance of Hoke. His armor and clothing started off pretty humble, and over the quests, he has accumulated better clothes and armor. I use the armor in addition to his battle experience to explain away his increase and health and how he can take more damage. I've got his new look all ready to go, just need to finish this quest. I am working on his personality as well. He was quiet and shy to begin with, but now he is taking on a more confident and commanding presence. He is becoming a knight.

"Mind your tongue and your surroundings," Hoke whispered through gritted teeth. He wondered if the cleric and lady rogue learned from the last battle how distractions prove disastrous to the task at hand. "I will take a potion. As I seem to last the longest in battle, I would take a Phoenix Essence or two for the benefit of the party."

"Cromwell Battlesword, Lordless Knight of the Free Islands."

Hoke uses his diplomacy skills. "Good Felton contacted us about the deadly caravan raid last night. We are here to see the factories and come up with a strategy to help squelch the pathetic rebellion."

"To the factory then," Hoke said as he slid Vintul in its sheath.

"You are most welcome Tesni. Your valor in battle benefited our cause greatly. Once again, I am honored to fight at your side. I have seen that since your training that your aggressiveness has, shall we say, abounded. Mayhaps I shall train in a role that would be advantageous for our future quests together."

OOC - Did I use my own Phoenix Essence of someone else's? Trying to update my signature accordingly. Thanks. Hoke awakes in camp and prepares for the day. He limbers his body and checks his gear. He examines Vintul for any dings or burrs and meticulously cleans the blade. Finally satisfied with the days preparations, he notices the other quest members stirring from the evenings' rest.

OOC - Gotcha. I put the order that way in case any damage is done to the party, you would not get hit. The first three take their actions, mine revives you, you take one turn to attack and the last to use the Phoenix Smoke.

OOC - The Phoenix Essence has to be used as my battle action. Since technically you're still knocked out, how's this for a battle order: Battle Order: Tesni Jess Hans Hoke Skrall

Looks like yours truly will be hosting a quest soon. Hope there are enough level 1s around for a good beginner's quest.

"Tesni, Jess, and Hans, take out who you can! I'll revive Skrall and once he is on his feet, we will be on our way." Hoke uses a Phoenix Essence on Skrall.

I hope we get a Christmas/Yuletide merchant in the Marketplace as I missed Elphaba.

Hoke scowled at the desperate rogue's retreat and nodded at Skrall's command. Hoke attacks W from the front row.

"I am targeting C as his health is low enough for me to kill. With your power and elemental damage, direct your attack to D. That way we have a chance of killing both captains."

Seeing an opening, Hoke attacks the weakened captain. Hoke attacks C from the front row.

OOC - I think we should be swatting the little guys and not worrying about the captains. This battle is about killing the most, not the strongest. We should concentrate on hit = kill. Hoke attacks L from the front row.

With a look of bitter disappointment on his face, Hoke, heaves a fire bomb at the enemy soldiers. Hoke uses his fire bomb on B, C, F, G, H, and J He then heaves Vintul up in guard, anticipating his next chance to charge headlong into battle.

OOC - Why are we bombing a target Tesni will take out with a direct hit?

An eagerness in Solider E's eyes caught Hoke's attention. Hoke attacks E from the front row.

"Agreed."

Hoke uses his Diplomacy Skill. "Good Vonnetate, our goals converge and surely you can see more of your fearless warriors would be beneficial in destroying your true enemy. I would be honored to fight by their side in the great battle to come. Who better than the Pongcanae to receive the glory and honor as the true saviors of the land? I propose 1 additioal troop for every 2 we defeat. But enough with words! Let our triumphant in combat speak for us!" With those last few words, Hoke rips Vintul from it's sheath and hoists it high. A mighty gust of roaring air leaps from the bare blade as the eagerness for battle overcomes Hoke.

"Hoke Ablesword, at your service good Vonnetate."

"Are there any major players among this caravan that should be capture and interrogated? Are there any known weaknesses? Do you have a good place for an ambush, preferably one where our small group could would make the most effect?"

Hoke looked up from sharpening Vintul, slid the stone up the blade again, and looked back down at his work. OOC - I'd appreciate it if the romance novel soft-core porn roleplaying was done outside of a thread I have to be involved in. No offense intended, but it's annoying.
