  1. It seems you have a very lively fancy, Joey... Which ships should I capture, Admiral M? Thanks a lot for your compliment, Lego_Warlord_8!! It seems you're a pirate, too! So there is no reason to worry!
  2. Hey, see your project first time! Looks quite interesting! Waiting for the end result.
  3. Wow, that’s a great idea, Bonaparte!!! Nobody would see the cut and it improves the look! I think I’ve a saw lying around somewhere! Okay, a 3-decker after all. Thanks for your nice words, impressive pictures and explanations, Cap’n Blackmoor!!
  4. I wouldn’t like to be one of the soldiers in this battle!!
  5. Fine exemplar! Looks very dangerous!
  6. Thanks for your constructive words, Bonaparte! Your ship has an optimal/perfect rigging which looks very realistic! Respect!! It should be solvable for me to attach it on the side of the ship. Thank you for the tip! But I’m afraid I’m not patient enough to use ropes. You are right, the upper deck is narrow, a real disadvantage of prefab hull pieces! But if I put off the 4th deck it wouldn’t grow wider. Therefore I would have to remove the 3rd row, too! As you already mentioned the only equitable solution is to build the whole hull with bricks. But I don’t have enough brown bricks. Perhaps I could use red ones... But another question: I thought I’ve built a 3-decker, because the "4 th deck" isn’t complete. It is disconnected. Why do you all speak from a 4-decker? Please explain it to me! I’ve a vessel of a similar type which is approved as 3-decker. Where is the difference? Thank you for your statement, Sir Wellington! The proportion length to width isn’t quite correct. I hope I answer your questions right: I used 8 midsections. The height is about 36,5 inches. I don’t know the width in inches but I have to admit it is a bit too small!
  7. Thanks for your statements and suggestions of improvements! I’ll think about some changes of the bow but have no idea how to improve the rigging... One point won’t be changed: the number of cannons The ship comes from somewhere else from Western Europe, but surely not from Island!
  8. I like the new design, especially the tumblehome! Also the classic colour scheme is fine. I’m looking forward to the finished project!
  9. Sorry, can’t give a serious answer of how many parts it consists. I tore down 5 ships (larger and smaller ones) to build it. I wanted to reduce my fleet (of 12 ships) to get more space in my room for other things. There stood ships around everywhere. That was already too much! But I didn’t have the heart to destroy them simply. So I built one new vessel... The crew of the ship consists neither of former bluecoats nor of redcoats. They come from another region of Europe! I used 8 midsections to build it. I have to admit that prefab hull pieces are comfortable but restricting, too.
  10. Thx for first feedback and comments!!
  11. Wanna introduce my new flagship, the Armageddon II. She has 108 guns on 3 decks. No more words, hope you enjoy the pics: Some more pics on Brickshelf
  12. Congratulations, great work! It´s a real challenge to approximate curves in the side of the ship with straight lines what’s necessary because of the constitution of the legoelements!! You found an excellent solution for this problem! I’m sure there is much patience and endurance essential to form such a work of art! The whole ship looks simply perfect!

    Some Ships

Sorry for late answer, Captain Zuloo! Of course I saw my ships on Classic-Pirates.com frontpage!!! And that at once as you informed me! Wow, I couldn’t believe it as I spotted them there! No, sorry, there aren’t any things inside worth seeing. Only bricks to make the ship as robust as possible.

    Some Ships

Okay, perhaps here are some more pictures of the ship. I hope they are able to help you and you see few details you couldn’t see before. But I must admit that I didn’t plan to put this photos into this forum as I made them and so they aren’t in a good quality mostly. Especially the background isn’t well. I’ll try to make further photos if I return to my “old” home next time and if I don’t forget it.

Dear zorro3999, I’ve changed the size of the pictures and put them into subfolders on Brickshelf Is this all right so this way?

No, Bonaparte, I only focused on exterior details. The interior only consists of bars and pillars and such things so that the ship gets as robust as possible.

    Some Ships

Thanks a lot for all your statements!! I’ve not expected that my ships cause such a “noise” through the pirates forum! It’s a great honour for me now to be present in this forum!

    Some Ships

Perhaps here and now some pictures of my “Neptun IV”. I must admit that the ships are not where I’m living now. I’ve actual lots of work to do and so few time to change things on my ships (I visit my “old” home, where the ships are standing perhaps one time per month). So I want to show some views of my flagship now: And also pictures of my "old" fleet...

    Some Ships

Thanks for feedbacks!!! I'll try to show some pictures in an other way, following the advices I've got and in smaller size: Here's a picture of "Minotauros": And another view: The "Phoenix": The "Chronos": Parts of my fleet (one of these ships has already been deconstructed; the big one in the third picture ("Neptun III")): In the last two pictures you can see my actual flagship ("Neptun IV"). I'll upload more pictures, if it is complete (there are some sails missing and few changes necessary).
