I'm in. I'm bringing Deathdog myself, and maybe we'll slip Blockocop in there too.

Comic book or comic strip software for the PC
Deathdog replied to AllanSmith's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
ComicLife -- free trial available at http://plasq.com/ It's relatively inexpensive, but very good. Check out my comic Glomshire Knights, which is created in CL. -
Yeah, I've got something in mind for that spot but the Bricklink order isn't here yet.

I think it's going to become a tradition that I build a couple cars for the Dave and Stacy Sterling's layout at Brickworld. I like building rat rods because they don't have to be realistic, just fun. Realism is overrated, just like reality. Anyway, Dr. Lee Jones is along for the ride. Don't have a name for the driver, but he's definitely not Dr. Sinister. Dr. S has more class than this.

Stage one of a farm moc/set mod I'm toying with. More to come . . . maybe. The official name of the thing is going to be "Junior's Farm" because, well, Paul McCartney is awesome and I love that song.

It's an American expression -- Mitch talks about cleaning up the city, and I seem to remember a long running joke on TV was that a certain domestic housekeeper did everything except clean the windows.

A stunner, to be sure. Proportionally perfect, with fantastic stone/masonry work. Oddly enough, as much as I loathe winter, this is very inviting -- any chance of throwing a few logs on the fire and hosting a massive brick-fan party in there? Oh, right, it's not the real house . . .

A group of refugees leaves the village behind as an invading horde draws near. Being displaced from home has never been fun, but one of our refugees is sure glad to get away from that simple hut with a mud floor!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion
Deathdog replied to Nabii's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Just checked out the new castle line and love it nearly as much as that Greek soldier. I've just decided where my LEGO money is going 2010! -
Didn't do an interior, unfortunately. This is actually part of a large display planned for Brickworld in Chicago and an interior wasn't necessary.

Frank always swore he would push Mike off the roof if he asked why the hotel was named the Honey Hole one more time . . . . . . and Mike simply couldn't resist.

Just a little something to entice you to give my comic, Glomshire Knights, a try.

I did this quick setup a while back and was just trying to figure out how to post an image here.

What are you doing here, Dave? Shouldn't you be reading Glomshire Knights?

Hey Lee!

You low down dirty rotten Hoosier . . . oops, that's me, looking in the mirror I guess. Your MOCs? meh. Your skillz? meh. Your stunning ability to entrance some of the lowest lifeforms I've ever met? Absolutely astounding! (Yes folks, I know Mark. Yes, he's a great builder and a fellow Hoosier -- that means we both live in Indiana, U.S.A.)

Hide the women and children... and small woodland animals!
Deathdog replied to Chris Phipson's topic in Hello! My name is...
I guess since I've been a member here more than a year, I should welcome you to Eurobricks -- but I'm not going to. You'll have to suffer, noob. (For the record, Chris and I are friends -- and he was serious about the woodland animals!) -
Love the comic! Great pacing and great characterization make every adventure worth waiting for! Have you heard about the Brick Comic Network? If you haven't, come on over! http://www.brickcomicnetwork.com/

Do you like adventures featuring daring heroes and beautiful damsels? Do you hear the call of battle, walk the arcane paths of mystical power, or thirst for the open seas? Then Glomshire Knights is(n't) the comic for you! http://glomshire.thecomicseries.com/

Going to have a go at something similar, these are just too darn cool not to! I also live in an area with many compact homes that are, thankfully, pretty well kept. The kids in these neighborhoods know everybody and everything that's going on, and often in summer you see people sitting out on the porch shooting the breeze in the evening. Great place to live!

The new figs are great. I'm probably going to pick up at least two of these sets simply for figs and the round bricks in brown. I've got a MOC idea floating around in my head that needs them. To me, it's a quality set and worth the price, even if I don't care much for the Kraken (at first glance, anyway).
