Deathdog

I appreciate the comments, support, and readership! I'm preparing myself (mentally) for the episode run from 480 to 500 and am about three weeks away from starting the build. Stay tuned!

No one can say I'm a quitter! Glomshire Knights publishes episode #460 tomorrow (but #480 is being shot tonight!) The strip's fifth anniversary is coming up in February and I appreciate all the loyal readers who've enjoyed (or hated) my little story over the years. If you're not familiar with Glomshire Knights, click the link in my signature and go straight to the archive to be, to paraphrase fellow comicker Louise Dade, whelmed, but not overly.

Invest in a copy of comic life (it's about $25 USD) -- it runs on pc's too. Use gimp for photo effects. Vary camera angles and get a variety of shots -- static camera positioning gets boring visually and doesn't help the story.

Go for it! What isn't a cliche these days? Writeyour jokes your way -- the most important member of your audience has to be yourself, so if you're happy with what you're doing, then that's all that matters. There's always room for more comics and stories out there, just make so you like it and other people will too.

The Drunken Hog is a tavern/inn located somewhere inside the walls of the city in Glomshire. I built this scene mainly as a test run for possible use in my comic. Hey, even heroic knights need to unwind once in a while! You can see the bulk of the shots on my MOCpages account: The Drunken Hog For various reasons besides the fact I've been out of touch in recent weeks on vacations and such, my Flickr account is basically a non-fuctioning ghost town.

Indeed, Comic Life it is. Great program. I also do some special effects Photoshop. (Been on holiday pretty much since mid-June and just got back home yesterday.)

It was a great con - met some great new folks (including Quarryman and Ice Cream Clone), reconnected with people I've met before, and hung out with some good friends. It was great seeing everyone and looking at the wonderful things creativity brings. All that, and a Republic Dropship too!

This one is just too good, Dr. S! Well built MOC, hilarious backstory. Hmmm, now that I think about it, that bum down the street should consider living in a Dalek -- better than that cruddy mobile home, anyway.

For the duration of the summer, Glomshire Knights will update three times each week (M-W-F). And with that announcement, I'm off to pack for Brickworld!
