cool design, I like this tower, what I would suggest to improve, as I scream clone said, is the roof, I like the rest of the tower ^^

thanks Stol and thanks I Scream Clone for indexing it^^ Thrash I think I'll try something like it next week, thanks for the advice, I never thought of it^^ I built something that I think can fit somewhere in the castle, what can all the differents races protect together ? by different races I mean... trolls, dwarves, undeads, magicians (here with a dog^^), elves, orcs and humans ? the answer ? they're protecting a chariot full of alcohol of course! ( yes I used my romance tree^^) of course I don't want this entire scene in our castle , but I think the chariot can fit well with the theme^^ some views of it : with only two horses, if it's too long^^ : the next picture is a link to the gallery^^ just tell me what you think ^^

I don't think it's the ugliest car ever.. but I agree that it design is quite strange, I don't really like it ! 2/5 for me, anyway, that's a nice review^^

Hello everyone, My mother offered me this set for my 25th birthday, she bought it on the shop at home on the Lego.com website, I did a review of it on my website, and I think nobody did it here, so I'm posting it here ! here we go ! I received it 7 days after she ordered it, which is a normal delay. ref: 852001 name: Castle chess set! Price : 34,90CHF(promotion) Pieces : N/a Gallery: here it is! click on the images to see it! opening of the package : we can see that the set was well protected with plastic "bubbles" bags, so it arrived in perfect condition, thanks to the nice package. The box: front and back the box is sympathic ,with it "attaché case" look, easily carriable to go and play chess in a park! unfortunately, while removing the protection tape, it scratched the green painting of the box,but nothing important let's open it ! we can see that the parts are well organized in little box, protected by a transparent plastic thing, which is easily removed, and put back. the board: the board have "scratchs" that avoid it to fall from the box, and to remove it/put it easily, the only negative point of this set is that the 4x4 plates are glued to a 32x32 green board, but that's not very important the pieces: they're all in their case, entirely built, only the staff of the black king is stored just behind him, and the 2 staffs of the 2 white bishop( is it the right word ? don't know in english^^) are placed behind the white king. the two kings, I love the black king's cape the two queens, the white queen have a reversible happy/scared face! the two towers, when I tried to removed the black tower from the board, the bottom of it stayed on it, that prove that's real lego, not glued ^^ the two horses, note that I reversed the base of the black one, you think it was intentional ? no.. i'm just stupid ^^ the two bishops( really.. is that the good word ? XD) , I love the black one " the death" and finally! two of the 16 pawns, as someone told me, the legs of the skeletons just keep staying on the board when you move it, it's quite boring, but just a matter of habit. Note: 9.5/10 ( because of the glued board^^) Conclusion: this chess game is very nice, carriable ,although the dismanteling pieces when you play, the playabilty is nice, you just have to take the pieces by the bottom of it! this is a set that you have to own if you like both lego and chess ! we'll just regret the glued board.. but .. that's a minor point plus it only cost 25€ (half the normal price) and seeing the numbers of parts and minifig, the quality of the box and the playability ( it's a game^^), It's a set that I advise to buy, I really liked it!

Knight must train their flexibility! thanks for your comment Buttons really ? ow that's strange there were no other playmobil parts in the lego I recovered, If you say so, I'll not use it anymore ( I don't like to use non-lego parts ) anyway, thanks for the info^^

thanks pr0visorak^^ 1/ well... how can I say it... I will not tile that roof!!!! it's supposed to continue out of the entry and as I said, to me, tiled things looks "finished" ! grunt! 2/ red transparent blood ? where ? on captain zuloo's cousin ? or replace some by red transparent blood ? 3/ what do you all have with my red-haired girl ! if I put another hairpiece she'll look like a man even more I think !^^
-
I see a lot of improvements to it like add characters and details well that's a nice start^^ I love your giant squid! I think it'll be a very nice entry when you'll finish it! ^^
-
why do tile anything ? this roof is nice like it^^ the only thing that I don't like in the final version.. is the flash of your camera but I guess you didn't have the choice, so that's a really cool entry , great job and good luck man !
-
nice entry ^^ what I see to improve it is simple : give the man on the canon a scared head ^^ but if you don't have one, that's saad :/ well I also agree with Erdbeereis, the décor looks empty, I'll suggest to add some details on the ground, but I like your entry.. remind me a little "knockin on heaven doors" ... well , they'll knock to it after knockin to this one^^ anyway I like the idea, just add some details and take better pictures and it'll became a really great entry^^ and of course Good luck with the contest!
-
hehe that's a nice entry ^^ It really shows the real cruelty of pirates ! I see no improvement to it ... but... is that the new pirates torso you used ? you bought the new pirates set ? man I hate you anyway, I wish you good luck for the contest ^^
-
ah ah really cool ! I love how you made the part supposed to be under the see, that's superb ^^ I also love how you put some meat attached to him to attract the kraken XD that's a really nice entry , great work ! I wish you the best for the contest! ^^
-
the little improvement you did are really nice^^ now I think that there is no other things that you can do to improve it, but don't forget to edit your first post^^! Good luck man!
