I'd haft to say that most of you are crazey. I'v been walking the toy departments for years and was allwase disipoynted with everythang I saw up ontill I dicsoverd Best-Lock on an airforc base in Nebraska. Of corse thay were all millitery but I coulden't get anough of then or find them enwar wene I got back to Minisota ether, pluse back then the fit was much better. There only down side was that the studs were slitly larger then Lego studs wich only became aperent wene your Miny fig's fot suddenley splits. And I found out that the Best-Lock briks only divided into havs insted of therds. But wene Thay finaly brought out a piret ship I was exstatic. Ferst, was the fact that somewone had finnaly produced a ship, and Second was that it dident look that bad unlike every thang els I had been seeing for years but I still coldent find the enwereand befor I new it ther were sudenly four of them that I still coudent find. And then thay were gone, for a short time at leest. But then at the toy store ther she was and I coudent stop myself I was so happy to find a nuther ship. But then I put it together and it desided to fall apart on me. So I just disided to redesin the thang into a for and aft riged ship and kik off he cruw and give it to somewon more desrving. And she is still serving today. And I'v got proff of the Exsistens of all Five of them if enyone wonts to see.

Did you meen for your tital for this discushen to be somthing like "Do you us Weapons from other Themes and how"? I was just wondering becuse the tital throu me off at ferst. um can someone let me in on what the metric sistem has to do with this if we are just conting studs hear I would think that unless Lego demnshens chang depending on wich side of the planet your on 16 or 18 studs would be the same wether in metric or English System? Or is this argument about wether the pece is measured from the outside of the brick wich for me commes to 18 studs from what I'm seeing and from the ends of the span is 16 studs, not incloding the brics on the ends. Or did I miss somthing intierly? Wich for me is very commen.

I just went through the Tutorial and tride it on the pics, but I think it onlu made it harder to see, Pluse the ones alredy ther tell the holl story any way. All that you can't see is that the studs are nice and round on top, other wise nuthing els is diffrent betwen this one and the Lego wons we all have. And that blue row bout Akama_1 got, yes very useful on a shipwreck and posibly an abandend bout on the beach so meny posibilityes, And I would like a few in brown as well. By the way did he get it new, or was it fron a preveous owner. Becous if its new all I can think of is that it must have been a molding mistak that Lego diden't kech, but if its used I have a much sader explanashen that comes from my own exsperyenses with maches. A terribel sin I shal never get off my conchens, but I can say it doen't seem to show the scars of such abuse nor the same melting pattern.

Hear is what I was talking about, all thow I gofed up on my discription. Ther is a holl but no stud, and there are no studs running along the inner edge of the hall. I did take a look and its not a Lego so now Im wondering what brand it is. If any one has the anser let me know.

I agree she dose look better, but back in the day dying sails was very exspensiv and not rilly I would gess a commen practic, pluse I personally woudent wont to be that visabal at sea or at port. Becouse if a seviver of a ship you plunderd hapend to be there I dont think he would keep silent if he rekignized you and your ship. 10 spred over three ships and one fort wich is a bit of a problem when you have five and one is abel to consome twic that meney and you have another wateing for just as much armmerment and another armed with just Best-lock guns. But alass not meny ships sail these days armed like tha use to.

I just noticed somthing with one of my brown row bouts. It dosent have the gides on the rail for the oars, as well as, no sokets nere the hed to store the oars in. Nor does it have the noch in the stern or the hole in the stud stiking out of the bow. Is it a Lego or some knoc off?

To me its just like in real life. It all depends on from what side your looking in on. But as allwase to the victer gose the spoilies, and the rightes to the ink in the history books.

To be compleetley onist I don't Know. When I started, I was baseing every thing off of a Ken'x frame that I'ed been plaing with for years, a balsa wood keel that I had left over from an airship that I built off of a movie, and a restront in the naberhood called the Charthouse that has a entrens that looks like a ship that I unknowingley bassed alot of the layout on. It's fun what ones subconchens can do for a person when looking back. And I forgot to menchen that she is sixty-five inches long, six and three-quarters inches wide, and stands about three feet tall. to put that into a bit of perspective. The Brickbeards Bounty fits cofertable between the for and mizzen mast, and from keel to the top of the mast she sitts just below the lowwer cross trees ( the lower crows nest).

Me personaly I use 40 LBS black fishing line that I get from FleetFarm for smaller standing rig and this black craft string I get at Michaels for heavier standing line. For running line I'm still loking for the right tan or hemp color rope for the running line. Preferrably sinthetic that way I dont need to be preocupied with decay. I have a wood hall to keep me bissey

I agree with every thing thus far. But I'd like some simpal paks of mini figs and wepons. That way every one could go nuts with there armeys, plus some pakes of cannens would make me a verey happy person.

Well Im releved that I so far I had nothing to be consernd about. I haft to admit that shes not finished yet, I still haft to add running lines, pulleys, yardarms, foot ropes, and sails, and thats not menshening that I started this project with the intenshen to make it an R/C model sail bout posibly with Co2 powerd cannen. I dident relize that finding a transmiter recever combow with 32 or more channals that are forwerd stop and revers would be so dificalt. But other then that she looks grate. So should I whate to post picters unill I'm done wich could take a nother year or two, or should I post some now and the finished product when I get to that point?

I'm a litel confused about somthing the Renegade Runner was my ferst and only vessel from the pirates line. I've still got the box and the original instructions and I would swear that the small dragen ordiment on the head was red other then that it is butifel ship, and in much better condishen.

me persanaly I go to the hobby shop up the road and get "gran of rice" LED's and conect them with a ladder circuit. I did this in a 1/48 scale model airplane once and it werks grate, used nine LED's and only used an E-90 (a smaller 1.5V battery) about half the size of a AA or AAA. The parts on the desk lamp makes me think he mite have used somthing I saw in a magizen called electricly conductiv paint, but thats just me speculateing.
