"Works for me," Em mutters, toying with his bow. "We got a plan or are we just going to swarm her?"

A corner of Em's mouth twitches upwards in a slight grin, but he soon returns to his normal self. "Shouldn't our first order of business be to retake the Echoes, then? Would that somehow sever control of give us some sort of control over the brainwashed Proggs?"

"I opt for death," Em says, facing the proggs.

Em grins sadly. "Death," he spits, he grin growing into a wide-eyed smile.

"And here I was hoping to save dying for another day," Em mutters. "I suppose that is my best choice, unless the rest of you want to experiment with different options and the result."

"What is the Eternal Reaper, exactly?" Em asks. "Have you seen it?"

Em grimaces. "Death's not something I'd embrace with open arms, but being brainwashed doesn't sit too well with me." "However... I see hope in Slavery, if nought else. I won't fight for the Reaper, but I'm not going to lie down and die like a dog. I'd live to fight, even as a slave."

"The only other person we know to be under Iris' spell," Em says abruptly, "is probably this man. You wouldn't happen to be Jetorix, would you?"

"Calm yourselves. I am sure Iris brought us here for some reason other than to gloat. If she wanted us as puppets, she could have done that at any time, if she's as powerful as she says." Em keeps his eyes on the girl at all times. "What is it you want of us?"
