LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
The Crazy One replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
First time I have posted here in ages but wow, this new wave is just amazing. I think after a year and a bit off I will have to get those clone battle packs and the escape pod. The detail on these fingers has just gone up so much recently. -
I am actually really liking the diversity of villains in this wave. In all seriousness I have more problem with the Heros now. I hate the white on them. I am also not to keen on the mix and max colour scheme of Surge, or the patchy feel of Rocka. Easily changeable but annoying. I mean, I don't even want Surge to be honest, but Rocka's mask is too awesome to pass up on. I am also loving Black Phantom now. He grows on you.
-
Black Phantom looks considerably better. I actually quite like him now. I'm still not feeling the love for Jawblade or Thornrax, or Surge for that matter.
-
Someone's taking it a bit seriously. It's really not a big issue. I doubt he made that comment with any malicious intent at all. Just a misunderstanding of meanings.
-
That's actually really good. One question, the mask at the front of the tank, where did you get it?

Interesting to see how well this topic has survived since I left it. I thought I might have a little peak back in. I'm not exactly a pro but I had a go at a fair few in the early pages of this topic and a helpful tip for smooth colour transition on markings and shading is to zoom in as far as possible on the image while on paint, and then click in the pixels individually. The darker colours go on the edge and you should slowly fill in lighter shades of that colour on the markings. I know it sounds laborious but it does produce some great results even from people like me. Another tip is when making markings on curved parts of armour, remember to follow the contours of the piece accordingly with the markings. This will give a much more professional look to the figures, and will minimise the straight lines that travel across the gaps in amour.

Fair enough point, but I'm not changing my stance that I think the main villains should have more vibrant primary colours.
-
So, Lego, an all black villain, a gunmetal villain, a white villain, and now another black one. Remember colour? It's lovely when you use it.

Furno needs to be killed off, as does someone like Stringer and Nex. Then we'd have a nice little emotional story for a bit, and two new heros. Stormer and Bulk can then retire, leaving Rocka and Breeze as the pros, with Evo, and a new Rookie team. Bring Von Nebula back in the final year and Stormer can return from retirement to fight him. Done. :) No seriously though, one hero needs to die soon, I'm getting emotionally numbed by Hero Factory.
-
I would prefer if the team were dominated by new characters with only one or two familiars. I am fine with it either way but my preference would be to have far more character variety than we are being given.
-
Guys, the Brits are only good at cycling. Yeah!
-
I have to say, looking at the Heros, Furno, Breeze an Rocka really are great designs. I can't deny that Breeze looks like a must buy, and yet again her mask almost single handedly makes her look feminine, but the high heel effect given buy the 1.0 feet also helps. I believe that's why they were used to be honest.

I am going to be rather ignorant here, but quite frankly, the kids I have seen buying these sets probably don't know that Hero Factory has a story. That's just the (probably unfair) impression I get from the ones I see buying the sets.

Doctor Who, Torchwood, Sarah Jane Adventures...

I was more than unimpressed with the episode. Cyber-rat things were cool but everything else was a cop out. Cybermen also need a re design for next time. -
Wow, you are missing out my friend. It's a very enjoyable tv series as explained above. You should watch some. It's not for everyone but I would recommend it.
-
Pfft, I don't care, he's a part pack.
-
Awesome. I really like seeing Mocs using the old and new building systems.
-
Your logic baffles me...
-
I doubt your wish will ever be fulfilled I'm afraid.
-
Damn, a Hero team with Merrick Fortis and Preston Stormer in it. Then throw in Bulk, Rocka, Stringer and Nex and you are in business. Next wave anyone? Anyway, has Evos shade of yellow changed? It seems a lot more orangey.
-
Even though I really dont care about it, it's far to rounded in my opinion. There are probably better ways, but anyway, I don't see any reason to alter what is probably the most solid design of the wave.
-
Why on Earth would you want to do that? It would look silly.
-
An over gloryfied fish. Okay, my main problems are that I don't like the inconsistency in Hero size, and the fact we have now cut down to 5 heros. I think they should have either cut it to 3 heros all large, and 3 large villains, or don't vary the size and stay with six. That's just my petty feeling about it. Anyway, I think any sets that I do buy will be quite fun to awesomeise with their previous incarnation's parts.
-
Jaw Blade is a fish. Why not just wait for a water theme? Now he's out of place. Even so, I do like the variation, but I didn't really want a fish.

Anyone else notice canisters have been scrapped?
