  1. I love the Lego offer, but I'm also somewhat upset (not at Lego)... I decided two days ago to purchase 10179 through Amazon because they had a sale on it, where it was 10% off and I got free one day shipping, however, as I stayed up last night to see the offer, I was surprised to see the same set go 25% off!!! As Luke said in Episode V: "NOOOOOOO.... IT'S NOT TRUE" Well, at least I got a wonderful set!
  2. I think that you've done a wonderful job at creating a sleek and smooth speeder. It definitely hints at the bull theme, however, I love how it isn't an overt reference. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your creations!
  3. It also could be neat, if instead of an X-Wing, they designed a Z-95 headhunter, which is fairly similar to the X-wing (although with some rather large differences!). I've made a custom Z-95 headhunter using the base design of the most recent X-wing version (where I widened out the nose section, and added a couple other adjustments). I thought it looked pretty cool. This might be a great alternative for a new set as opposed to another version of the X-wing, but it would still be a similar ship.
  4. Thanks! Hmm... It's a cool LEGO exclusive poster, but I'm not sure if that's something I have to have... I've got some thinking to do! I guess I missed your post as I was putting mine on! Thanks for the info though!
  5. I was just on LEGO.COM and found this: http://shop.lego.com/Promotion/?StarWars2009 It doesn't say what the special offer is, but it's more to go on than just plain guesswork! It looks pretty cool!
  6. I made a version of the rocket launcher, although it did involve some modification. (I'll put a picture up once I find time!) I used this piece: Part No: 4735 Name: Bar 1 x 3 with Clip and Stud Receptacle (Robot Arm) I tried to put a picture of the part, but it didn't want to accept that! If you go to bricklink, you can search that and find it. I cut the arm section off, and trimmed the bottom half so that it would fit over the "hand-held" part of the gun section. I'll try and get a picture up later tonight, but it worked out really well and fills in the dead space that I saw in the rocket launcher between the two lightsaber hilts.
  7. I would assume the same thing Oky Wan. We had the first chance to get the Chrome Vaders, but since it wasn't going on in Europe, perhaps that is the reason for them being unable to sell them separately here in the States. I am also holding out a slight hope that May 3 and 4 will offer us a chance to purchase a Chrome Vader, or get him if we spend so much money (although, that is dangerous as my wallet is already spread thin). I have been saving up for the UCS Falcon, so maybe that may be a good time to get it?
  8. I especially like your version of the rocket launcher. It is simple, yet very effective. I am looking through my pieces to see what could be added to the middle section to add just a little more "bite" to the weapon, but otherwise I think it's very well designed. I will certainly be using this with some of my clone troopers. The mini-gun is also a great brick built design, but I've never been truly happy with the brick built versions. However, I did just have an epiphany on something that MAY help it look better: The round technic piece that is at the end of the barrel, what if you lined those all along the barrel? I know it would lose the "line" look of the barrel, but it may help a little more. When I get the time, I will try doing this and uploading a picture of it (unless you get the chance to try it first!). Really great work on these peices!
  9. A few weeks ago I actually contacted the Lego corporation (before we had reports of Chrome Vader's being sold in Europe) inquiring whether I could purchase a Chrome Vader separately as I was having a hard time finding one, and this is the response that I got: "I can certainly appreciate your desire to obtain additional STAR WARS™ figures and accessories. Unfortunately, we are unable to send Star Wars mini-figures out separately due to our strict licensing agreement with Lucas Film, Ltd. If you would like to purchase sets that contain the figures you are looking for, you would have to buy the set it comes in. This figures were inserted in random Star Wars™ sets. We unfortunately do not have the ability to identify these particular sets, since they are random. I wish there was more that I can do for you, but my hands are a little bit tied when it comes to license mini figures. If it was up to LEGO we would sell them separately, but it is not up to us." Apparently they can sell them separately lol! (This is nothing against any members from Europe getting a chance to get this wonderful figure, but it does seem funny to me that they tell me one thing, and then sell it separately somewhere else!)
  10. I live in Michigan, USA, and I've been looking for a Chrome Vader since they came out... I still haven't found one yet I'd love to take a trip to Europe to get some of those Vader's from the Toys R Us stores there! I went to my local TRU, and unfortunately found nothing! I'm still keeping the dream alive though! If anyone wants to help make that dream become a reality, let me know
  11. If they redesigned the X-Wing, instead of giving us another Red Squadron X-Wing, maybe they could modify it to be another squadron. I personally would love to see a modified X-Wing as a member of Green Squadron, or something like that with new decorations, pilot/crew, and droids. The issue with that, is it would need to be modified differently enough from the previous models to warrant releasing such a set, as opposed to just modifying the previous sets color schemes.
  12. I have these auctions on Ebay, and they are still really low prices, and I thought I'd share them with you guys: Hopefully this is the place I can put this (If not, I apologize to the admins!: Custom Boba Fett: http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19...em=140315969370 Custom Mandalorian Jedi: http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19...em=140315973124 Custom Double-Bladed Sith Lightsaber: http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19...em=140315985700 I have other auctions too, but I thought other people might like to see these. I am especially proud of the Double-Bladed Lightsaber, as it is much more menacing looking than the lego lightsaber hilt, and it can be held by both hands in a number of positions! I also am very proud of the Mandalorian Jedi, but that's just because I think it's a really cool idea! Again, if an admin needs to take this down, I'm very sorry for the confusion! I tried to post in the Buy, Sell, Trade section, but as I am a vassal it restricted me. Even if you guys don't bid, please enjoy taking a look at my creations! (I also didn't know how to put the pictures in, otherwise it would have the images here! Thanks everyone!
  13. Awesome! Thank you very much!!!
