Still have problems with pics, but I can see more of beast itself now. And as usual, you've proven that you're good at action figures.

Nicely done. awesome job on the building, you always were good with details. Also good to see that you've switched from LDD to real Lego. Way to go. EDIT: Also I'd suggest you to use Flickr or Imgur for your photos, 'cause I can't see a half of pics.

Explain Hero Factory / action figures like I'm a total newbie
The Mugbearer replied to jFox's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Well, they do not call this Ultrabuild for nothing. So yes, you are not mistaken: all recent Action Figure sets share the same system that allows to snap armor pieces to a balljointed skeleton. And to the most part it's Lego's chase for simplicity that makes those builds look generic. It's up to builder however to make something viable and appealing out of this Ultrabuild system. I see you have Flickr. I will give you some links where you can find something I consider to be appealing Action Figure designs. To be more specific, it's groups where I post my stuff. =) I must warn you thought that I cannot guarantee that there will be only high-quality mocs. Bionicle without Bionicle - non-human Bionicle builds Bionicle and Hero Factory Lego Fusion - MOCs that combine Bionicle, Hero Factory and System pieces To conclude what I'm saying: recent sets are not up to the task to be appealing for the most part (although personally I liked Chi Worriz and Core Hunter), but past sets (Hero Factory 1.0 for example) were nice in design, but really limited in matter of poseability. The Lego Group cannot touch the golden middle, alas. -
Allow me to shake your hand, good sir. You made a huge job. And with such attention to details, with that scale... I think you deserve the highest praises. Congratulations.

Legends of Chima 2014 Discussion
The Mugbearer replied to Aethersprite's topic in LEGO Action Figures
These figures are terrible. Two of them are simply recolored and slightly adjusted 2013 figures, others are meh. I don't like and approve those solid-constructed wings. -
[MOC] Bionicle Toa Hicann the toa of Thunder
The Mugbearer replied to Legofan225's topic in LEGO Action Figures
You know, that's not really fair and mature. However, it's understandable if you seek only for flattery that will please you and will make you feel great about what you are and what you made. But if you seek for people's objective opinion, if you wish to improve, then please, learn to withstand people's critiques and do not limit their holy right of free speech. I see you understand it clearly, so I just want to point out that you can't prohibit people from expressing their feelings in any way they feel appropriate. As for your MOC (and it's Jet mode to be more specific), it really needs better, more complex legs. It could make a perfect brutal warrior in bulky armor, but legs ruin that feel. -

The Mugbearer replied to The Mugbearer's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Thanks. Leewan's actually made the real frame already. =) His pics on the first page I guess. And yeah, you are free to make it. I will attach the file to the OP.- 41 replies

[LDD MOC] Hero v1.0 Custom Frame
The Mugbearer replied to The Mugbearer's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Yeah, must agree with Jetrax99. I do not need links to all those characters and pieces to know what do you mean. Don't hold me for idiot. Please? Also I don't know why, but your English is really odd (to say the least) and I have great trouble reading your message, though I assume that English is your native language.- 41 replies

[LDD MOC] Hero v1.0 Custom Frame
The Mugbearer replied to The Mugbearer's topic in LEGO Action Figures
Yeah, it's been alot, but I've added Nex and Stringer, with which I am not very proud. Also, if it's not okay for me to bump a three-months-old topic, and even update with some new pieces is not a valid excuse, I am completely ready to take responsibility for it.- 41 replies

If somebody actually remember, there was an actual MOC of mine with the same name. I honestly don't like the 'eternal remake' approach to MOCs (one of my friends has like tons of remakes of his character, and not only one), but I couldn't resist the urge to make an LDD version of Furno Marine. Furno Marine by The Mugbearer, on Flickr Such a pity that LDD palette does not have all the parts to fulfill my needs for that MOC, but I tried hard to keep the same aesthetics.

Thanks, Leewan. ^^ I suspected you might try helping me with this one. Yes, unfortunately his armor looks hollow and not only on shoulders - if you look at him from the side, you'll see that his chest is also lacks of filling parts. Would you like to help me some more and make him a proper melee weapon since people do want him to have one? =)

Never though of yellow actually. I though of a choice between transparent orange and solid orange, and the last one won as you can see. I am always open to an improvement, of course. Currently though I can't use LDD to check the yellow.
