  1. Liverpool iPab updated. There are also black spades & axes that aren't in the parts list at the moment. The build-a-minigure stand has a lot of parts from the early collectible minifigures for anyone that missed out. No zombies or spartans though. :/ John Lewis also has a box of S7 out.
  2. Customs & Royal mail/Parcelforce 'admin' fees usually kill any savings you might make.
  3. You don't. It says in the smallprint on the promotions page. It's the same if you buy an item on backorder that ships after the offer is over.
  4. This morning I had a dream that my step-father was eating my technic 1x2 liftarms instead of cereal. I woke up pretty pissed.
  5. The antlers in brown would be nice for foliage.
  6. I know you've ordered it now, but if anyone else wants them, both the HQ & Portal are 50% off on S@H.
  7. Apart from the options already given, if you live near a lego shop and the PaB wall has what you want, ask the staff nicely if they'll sell you a case/box of bricks. Sometimes they may want to fill the cups with bricks from the case to work out the cost but you can usually talk them down a bit by saying you'd fit them in less cups if they were stacked. It's another option to sometimes get the bricks you want for a little less. gl.
  8. 1. tatertots - 3 10. priovit70 - 1 6. Darkblane - 1 gl
  9. This is an obvious purchase for the amount of dark orange but there's something a little too plain about it like fire brigade that I don't quite like. I hope it has some nice details inside.
  10. There are no 'good' toy shops. You're better off trying Argos or a large Asda/Tesco or buying online from Amazon. Toy shops like the Entertainer and Toys'r'us are usually overpriced. If you're heading into Liverpool, your best bet for a deal on Lego is John Lewis but it's unlikely you'll find anything worthwhile. - - - EDIT Forgot to add: Disneystore.co.uk has the big bentley set on sale for £35.99
  11. I have a couple hundred pictures of those little cottage models I keep for inspiration but I couldn't tell you where they all came from. The outside is indeed based on one of them. If you know where it's from I'd be happy to give credit. It varies from 10-20 studs but I wouldn't recommend it. To light the inside without washing out the outside too much and get 'reasonable' pictures with my old equipment took an age. The best way I could do it was longer exposures in low light and some post-processing in photoshop. If I built something like it again I'd look into using leds on the inside or maybe finally upgrading to a good dslr. Give it a try though and maybe take some test shots as you build?
  12. No problem, I knew early on it was going to be too big but it was fun to build regardless. Yes, the majority are 1x2 liftarms with axle holes for stability. EDIT It's from the spongebob superheroes set. Thanks for your comments everyone. :)
  13. B-OV-17A I know this isn't quite winter village standard but I started building with this competition in mind so I thought I should at least post my entry. If it's a step too far in terms of size/pieces I completely understand. The Sleepy Oak Inn - Bed & Breakfast Front Rear Garden Living area Guest bedroom Full Flickr set
  14. I think that would depend on your LUG. This is pure speculation but I think there would likely be stipulations that you've attented at least one of your LUG's public events to stop people joining purely to take advantage of this.
  15. I cancelled the emails because they seemed to be sending them every other day and saying nothing new. I see it now though, thanks.
  16. Where did you read that? I can't see anything on S@H about it. According to the store calendar the 2nd vignette set is only available between the 25th & 28th.
  17. Miss Kyle +1 - Thanks very much.
  18. Exclusively from Tesco in early November. Link
  19. The staff said there was only 3 figures because of licensing issues. Probably why the packaging is nondescript also.
  20. Photo of the Grand Opening gift here. Pretty sure I could've built these from parts I have. Disappointed overall.
  21. Asda, Huyton have Toy Story Western Train Chase on sale for £20.
  22. Amazon's prices auto-adjust to be competitive with the lowest marketplace seller. That's why you'll sometimes see sets that cost more than RRP. You can get some great deals on there if you check fairly often but the low prices don't usually last for long.
