  1. i remember that when i was little, i used to have a toy robot-cop that would light up, walk around, wave a sword, shield and gun around and say "stop! i am the law!" like in your funny picture. i have no idea where the phrase came from. when that thing got old, it would randomly start lighting up, walking around, waving its sword, shield and gun around and saying "stop! i am the law!" and it would freak me out because it was so unexpected and i was 5. ok! back on topic! i was going to pass up this set, but that alien is really cool. i also like the new fire piece and the flick-fire missle holder(flick-fire missles are still not too good though) the speeders have an interesting design. it is better than i originally thought. thanks for the review! hyperspeed pursuit is still my favorite sp3 set and i cant wait for it to come out!
  2. the new minifigs are awesome! i really like the helmet of the alien and the prints on the torsos and legs are nice too. i dont think ill get the police set because the minifig comes in other sets but ill probably get the alien set so i can get the alien. thanks for the review!
  3. i really like this set. i voted outstanding. it is nice to have a larger monster to be the leader and to be able to combat all of the power miners massive vehicles. the large head is awesome but has no further use in MOCs. the rocky crystal pieces are cool too and it has four light trans green crystals! i think the power miners sets need more than opne crystal in a set so this is nice. this will be another must buy for me because i really like the power miners theme. thanks for another great review!
  4. Yes! finally a review of a set i had already decided to get! this set has nice castle pieces and great figs! the gold knight is amazing! the fact that TLG actually bothered to give him a printed torso with a new print shows a great level of detail. i already have the jester minifig from the calender but i like that this one has a double sided face when i get this set i am going add it to my giant kings castle siege MOC. great review! random question`because i am ignorant: are these sets avalible in all LEGO Stores or just LEGOLAND?
  5. i designed a temple of doom set last year with pankot palace, temple with full kali ma statue, mine, and minecart chase. i was unable to make the minecart part because i didnt have any train tracks and didnt want to buy any. i really wanted to get this set but i had decided not to because my design was better and i didnt have enough room in my budjet. but now your very nice review has made me chande my mind. now i cant wait for this set to be released! i abosolutely must buy this set! the included figures are abosolutely amazing! i have decided to combine this set with my own design to make a much better temple of doom than either of them alone. thanks for another wounderful review!
  6. i too was sulfurix and brains. i also took the "which power miners assessory are you" quiz and i was the map. (i dont think anyone has talked about this quiz yet)
  7. super-cool awesome idea! i dont have the thunder driller yet but when i get it, i might try this! thanks!
  8. i have this set and it is really cool. i actually like the squat little thing. its not too good for poseing but looks cool and does its job well. its the only power miners set with a claw/hand/somthing to pick stuff up with and it can pick up crystals or monsters. none of the pictures in this review would come up on my computer but a nice review anyway.
  9. this is one of my favorite Power Miners sets and a cheaper one too! the jackhammer is my favorite part. im glad i got it first. great review of a great set! the rubber treads go "bump bump bump" because of the jackhammer, but still roll nicely and dont get stuck or anything it is unibrow, not monoeyebrow there are 7 different miners and only 4 names so this set includes one of the nameless guys
  10. i dont think that it has to be in proportion with the minifig. a minig bike could be much larger than a regular motorcycle. the engine would be nice, but the 5 long rod can easily be fixed if it bothers you that much. i tried putting a rubber band on the middle wheel and it looks horrible! it doesnt maich the color scheme and isnt large enough to be used as a tire. on my bike i added a headlight (kinda necissary when you are in an underground tunnel with no light ) and took off the little red jewel (im not going to complain that its there because its a cool piece that i want more of) i really like this set. sure its not as good as the granite grinder, but i think the designer did a good job for such a small set. also, one is never too old and never tires of zooming a toy motorcycle around on the floor and making sound effects while doing outragous stunts involving lots of crashing and exploding anyway, all in all a nice little set and a great review! (i now have 60 posts! yay!)
  11. the arms dont quite look like POWER MINERS but is still looks awesome! nice idea and great job!
  12. i have all but firox even though he is my favorite. i got all the little sets. im going to get the larger two later so ill have 7. then ill have all but boulder blaster which im not going to get. (with todays technology, who needs a dynamite launcher anyway?) and im the only one so far with 4 monsters! yay!
  13. when i first saw this set, i thought it was stupid. now, i still think it is stupid. i voted "average" instead of "poor" only because of the awesome minifigs and the super-cool awesome motorcycle i think that i will only get this set if i get it for free (aka gift) or it goes on sale. even though i don't like the set itself, it would still be worth buying for the minifigs, bike, and parts. i know that it would be hard to design a set of this scene in the movie as a set of this smaller size and that if it were much larger (more expensive and more awesome) people would be less likely to buy it because there is not as much to do with it as the other larger sets. because of all this i have concluded that the set designer did the best job that he/she could to design this set at the small size. anyway, thanks for another great review of a set not-so-good (in my opinion) set with awesome minifigs and a super-cool awesome motorcycle! must get super-cool awsome motorcycle!
  14. (sigh) oh great! another awesome review of a set that i now really have to have! at least it won't hurt my wallet too much because its a small set. thanks for another awesome review!
  15. this looks like an awesome contest! im sure i wont win but itll be a blast brainstorming for ideas building and entering anyway! thanks for these contests!
  16. i have no idea what steampunk is but this ship is awesome! (opens new tab and googles steampunk) since you didn't win the contest, that means that the other entrys were even more awesomer or that all of the judges/voters were really stupid.
  17. star wars is my favorite lego theme out of all the themes and i really like the clone wars sets.
  18. wow. i originally had decided to not get this set. i made a list of sets i wanted to get and had to take most of them off because i would't have enough for them. this was one of those sets. this review has changed my mind. now i really think that this is a must-have. (wallet screams in pain)
  19. these are awesome! i love the rock raiders pc game! (it was one of the few games that actualy worked on my junky computer when all the lego pc games started coming out) i would always build mocs of the buildings in the game and i tried to get them as acurate as possible. i remember i had a very large display of rock raiders mocs and i would build the power paths out of paper since i didn't have enough baseplates. good times....
  20. so shiny!(stares at rock monsters, goes into trance, wakes up awhile later) these are really cool! i had never heard of lifelites before. i can't think of anything cooler to use them on than rock monsters 50th post! (it's not much of an acomplishment but i rarely post so it is a happy moment for me)
  21. these are pretty cool! i too remember the days of real brick promos in the US. at least these have studs. maybe this means they are slowly moving back to promos with regular parts! i don't think i will get one of these because i never eat cereal(pancakes are more awesomer!) but i might in hopes of getting the police car(always wanted one of those but missed all opportunities to buy them in sets)and the chassis is cool too. i've already thought of abunch of ways to use it(never got any of the old chassis designs that were 7 pieces long)random question that i hope hasn't been asked yet: do the wheels come off?(wouldn't want to break it by trying but since it's lego, they might) and thanks for the review!
  22. i have been studying many different pictures of the miners and have concluded that: Brains: white body, test tube on shirt, glasses on face. included in: Mine Mech and Crystal Sweeper. he is the scientist. picture Doc: grey body, grey arms, yellow hands, star on shirt, triangle mouth with point on right side, cheek lines. included in: Thunder Driller. he is the leader. picture of Doc's body and Duke's face Duke: grey body, yellow arms, dark grey hands, dirt (not beard thing)on face (except where goggles would go) drill on shirt. included in: Thunder Driller. he is the miner. Rex/Engineer/unnamed miner: grey body, yellow arms, dark grey hands, bomb on shirt, triangle mouth with point on right side, metal piece on right side of forehead with red wavy line running down right side of face underneath the metal. included in: Crystal Sweeper and Boulder Blaster. named Rex in some pictures named Engineer in other pictures. he is the explosives guy because of the bomb, but lego says he is an engineer. picture Rex/Engineer/unnamed miner: grey body, yellow arms, dark grey hands, drill on shirt, square smile, dotted beard. included in: Claw Digger and Stone Chopper. named Rex in some pictures named Engineer in other pictures. he is another miner because of the drill, but lego says he is also an engineer. picture unnamed miner: grey body, yellow arms, dark grey hands, drill on shirt, triangle mouth with point on left side, light grey beard on sides of face. included in: Granite Grinder. he is another miner. picture picture of doc's head and a body with a new icon
