  1. Quality trade with Dervish +1 and a virtual high five. Thanks :)
  2. +1 for Buurli_Burri. Fast trade and exactly what was expected :)
  3. Very true. I placed my first order. 100 odd bricks for £6 including postage. Lets see how much this set costs haha
  4. Howdy Nik, Good to see another Harry Potter LEGO fan on here. The most recent Harry Potter sets are one of my favourite LEGO series, especially The Burrow and Diagon Alley. Really fun builds and look good on display. CJ.
  5. That's an impressive vintage collection you have Stinky. The campervan, as Str0ngbad says is such a cool modern set. My gf has hers to build I got her for Christmas. We are used to building the larger sets with number on the books so this will be a challenge when she decides to jump in. Welcome aboard :)
  6. No problem at all. :)
  7. Hello Robin, Your English is pretty good. Good to see another mini figure collector :) Cj.
  8. That's cool. If Layla likes female Minifigures then Minifigure collecting may excite Layla. They are quite fun to waste time feeling the little bags and seeing what you got when you get home. In the later series the lady figures have square based angled dress type legs so feeling them out is quite easy.
  9. Howdy Layla's Daddy, I am sure you will have some fun building and collecting sets with your daughter. What sort of sets so you like? CJ.
  10. @Legofin2012 how many are you after?
  11. Some impressive work there. I think the pencil drawings are amazing Job well done :)
  12. Hello and welcome. I have found the best way to buy spare bricks I need is through bricklink also. If you find the part numbers you fancy you can search or look by colour. Many an hour can be wasted :)
  13. @Esurient and @DanilaBob - thanks very much. @OneMoreBrick - I used to spend a lot of time at the Hamburger joint in town called Fast Eddy. @LLL - yeah definitely. Very heavy in price so decided to bricklink build cafe corner so lets see how much it costs and how long it takes.
  14. Hehe Ro_wenna sounds like you are now an official AFOL. My gf and I went to our first early morning AFOL morning about two weeks ago in Liverpool LEGO store too so I guess we are now official AFOLs as well. The themes you like are cool. I love the Harry Potter series. I prefer the newer sets than the original ones but they are all cool. Diagon Alley has so far been one of my favourite builds. LOTR was an ok build but sadly I felt it got very repetitive whilst building with most of the bricks being grey. I got into Modulars at Christmas. I wish I had of found them much earlier though as they are definitely my favourite series along with the Winter series. I just wish I had of come out of my dark ages back when the Cafe Corner was still on sale at a reasonable price.
  15. @OneMoreBrick Thanks very much. I grew up in Perth and spent the first 17 years of my life over there. I got an opportunity to move to the UK in 1997 and haven't looked back since. Where in WA did you live? The little guy loves his LEGO sets. Monster fighters seem his favourite along with the fire plane from the City range. @Leo Crimson Thanks very much :)
  16. That's so cool. I love the detail especially with it being on a micro scale. Brings back memories of the Smurfs as a child along with my little guys fixation on the recent Smurf movie.
  17. Some really interesting jobs in the previous posts. As a youngster I always wanted to be a brain surgeon for some reason but ended up in IT. . I am a Technical Manager for a small IT company in the Northwest of England.

  19. G'day my name is CJ, I am an Australian living in England and I have found that I am addicted to LEGO. Phew, glad I got that off my chest. As a lot of you can probably tell due to the lack of posts, I am newbie on here. One could say I of late I have had a strange idea, urge, or whatever you would like call it, to invest my hard earned cash in copious amounts of LEGO. I don't just mean one or two sets. It all started about 8 months ago whilst wandering aimlessly around the Liverpool One LEGO store, when my little boy (3 1/2 year old) decided to say that he was too old for Duplo. I am not sure how he came up with the idea he was too old for Duplo, however he wanted big boy LEGO. Naturally I said fair enough and started him off on the City range and we donated his DUPLO to a hospice where children visit their parents. As I started helping him build I found a strange enjoyment, excitement maybe or fixation, and decided to invest in some sets for myself that I would just build and create to keep on display. I started with the LOTR series and before I knew it, the whole set had been bought and built. I then moved onto the most recent of the Harry Potter sets after finding a guy in Belguim willing to ship me the majority of them on a good deal. I have since moved onto the Modular series and the Winter Village themes. I decided then to start on the Mini Figures with my little guy and we started with Series 7, then 6, and so on. Now I have the majority of the series and am just missing a handful from both Series 1 and Series 2. I dread to think how much they have cost me. I guess like most people who collect LEGO I am have to have a complete set of something. The Minifigure sets are pretty easy and relatively cheap but when you start as late as I did in the Modular Buildings or see something like the Creator Carousel you have a heart attack at the price. Anyway that is me, and G'day once again. CJ.
  20. I have a couple of these and am in the UK. Ping me a message and I will see if we can sort something out.
