Everyone else, choose a target! Arryana tries pulling her bowstring back, but winces in pain as she does so. "Dang it! I'm still more than a little sore. I won't be any help to you guys." "Then get back and hide! We still haven't made it to our destination, and I need you alive!" Abbot pulls Arryana back behind the corner he's hiding behind as the heroes prepare for the oncoming fight.
  3. Abbot cues in to what the parties doing. "Why, yes, of course! I'm an inspector! Inspector Chelmey! This woman apparently knows where she's going, isn't that right Arryana!" "Sure. Just showing them about the sewers. Trying to catch some out of control Wolfgang thugs." "Sure, whatever, you may be investigating disappearances, but by no means do you have any reason to check back here. Besides, I wouldn't want any of you to get hurt in such a manner that would obstruct your investigation, what with the state this section of the sewers and all. There's nothing to see back here, so scram!" The Shadow Sisters obviously didn't want the party in this section of the sewers.
  4. Helga crosses her arms, an inquisitive look on her face. "Is that so? Then who's the fancy looking chap then? And the other lady in your group?" Maude continues to hold Alexandre at wand point.
  5. As Maude and Helga interrogate Alexandre, they don't realize the rest of the party approach. Irene's the first to notice the group approach from the shadows. "Um, guys, we got company." Helga pulls her wand out of her coat, as Maude turns her attention to the approaching party. "You never said you had company with you, Alex. So then, perhaps your friends can be more negotiable. Why are you lot down here?" Maude seems to be getting a bit nervous with the arrival of the new heroes, the professor and the Wolfgang Sharpshooter. "And enough of the sweet talk, boy!"
  6. Maude groans. She rolls her eyes, and gives Alexandre a look of disgust. "Cocky son of a... Fine, then, if that's how you wish to play, so be it. We're simply abiding with what our ancestor's did starting hundreds of years ago. Would you like to continue this charade, or turn around and perhaps leave in one piece?"
  7. The reactions among the sisters varies. Irene takes note of Alexandre's changing demeanor and takes a step back. "Maude, there's no reason not to tell him why we're down here. Just tell him!" Maude and Helga however aren't impressed by Alexandre's change in attitude. Maude whips her wand out and points it Alexandre's chest. "Now you listen here, buster! You aren't the first "I'm doing nothing down here" we've come across! I'm going to ask the question again before I blast a hole in your chest: why are you down here?" "Pipe up their errant knight! Come on, cat got your tongue!" The two sisters seem to be out intimidating Alexandre, as Irene watches nervously from behind them. Arryana turns to the party on the other side of the sewer tunnel, hidden in darkness. "They definitely aren't Wolfgang, that's for sure." "Mr. le Chevalier seems to be in quite a large amount of trouble. Any suggestions?"
  8. The girls whip around to see the Black Knight standing behind them. "Oh, a ladies man, what luck." "Can it Irene, you're out of your element!" She straightens her clothes and cape as she moves to the front, followed by her other sister who is much larger in size. "Don't mind Irene, she's still a teenager." "My name is Maude, and this is-" "Helga, the pleasure's all mine good sir." The two sister look behind them, annoyed. "And the runt back there's Irene." "I'm not a runt!!" "Keep telling yourself that kid..." "And we are the Great and Powerful Shadow Sisters! Now then, what we're doing down here isn't important, at least not to you. The question is what are you doing in a crummy, shabby, disgusting, overgrown, filth ridden place like this?" "If you're out for a scenic stroll, forget it. We've heard it more than once, knight." The two sisters look impatiently at Alexandre, both looking incredibly irritated. Irene taps her staff on the ground behind them, looking bored.
  9. "Ugh, blasted drugged up dogs.... did any of you know any of the the men currently being buried?" This was going take longer than she thought.
  10. As well, since it needs to happen, is it possible I could please have Karie and Nessa making out in the corner, with a distressed Heckz looking on in horror.
  11. Karie giggled in the back. She had found Arthur's battle cry more than a little amusing. "Private, for one who claims to be constantly vigil, you really can't keep your eyes off me!" She immediately broke into laughter after her comment. She didn't really need his remedy. Laughter tended to make her feel better, but here, it felt to her more like a facade. She found her remark funny, yet still couldn't get her mind off things...
  12. Karie was still unnerved by the massive amount of corpses in the alley, but she had enough energy to at least make suggestions, while looking away from the atrocity. "Ask them about how long they've each been here individually. The one here for the shortest amount of time is most likely the Watch's dog."
  13. Abbot leans in with a hushed voice. "Buying and selling at a time like this, especially a mask? I swear, you heroes just get more odd by the minute... Mr. Gligin, I will say that the mask is of excellent craftsmanship. May I inquire as to where you got it?"
  14. Karie looked at Arthur's outstretched hand, remedy in one hand. She chuckled nervously. "I wouldn't call a remedy soothing. Thanks Private, but no thanks." Would he find out what she did back in the prison? She wondered what the Stealer did with the Apprentice's body.
  15. tends to throw up in alleys more often than he expected.

  16. Karie could already feel herself getting faint and lightheaded. She could feel the bile coming up her throat. "Guys, if you don't mind, I think I'm going to-" Karie's cut off as she lurches back, takes two steps, and then vomits, leaning against the wall. She took deep breaths as she tried getting her mind off of the mess of cartilage and bones in the alley. "Should have mentioned: I'm a bit queasy when it comes to this kind of crap."
  17. "I don't see why not. Lead on, Boomingham, I just so happen to be rather good with canines!"
  18. Blast it all! Same amount, right?
  19. "Hold on. The Northeast route obviously has dogs. The Northwest route obviously doesn't. But the question is why are the dogs barking? My interpretation: whatever's down the spindly Northwest route has the dogs spooked. My pick goes for the Northeast route personally, because although there may be nothing down there, there could also be, say... a big ugly, three eyed, child eating, fire breathing, snoring, winged boar. From space." Karie was letting her imagination get to her. And it was showing.
  20. OOC: Since you all didn't use consumables last time, I'm going to move this along. "Right you are, Johon, lead the way Arryana." "You technically know where you're going, so why don't you lead?" "Because I don't want you behind me. You may be with us, but trust is a hard thing to earn, especially with the organization you affiliate yourself with, Arryana." Arryana simply grumbles as she leads the party through the dark sewers, Johon's torch lighting the way. After a while of wandering the sewers, and in the straightaway Arryana said led to the Secluded Groves entrance, Arryana stops in her tracks. "Someone's up ahead. Lights out, and stay close." The party, Arryana, and Abbot slowly make their way forward, Abbot getting more and more nervous with every passing moment, his knees wobbling and himself finding shortness of breath. The voices become more clear as the group finally get close enough to see who the mysterious figures ahead were. Three women, mainly dressed in black slink about the other side of the sewer tunnel, the water much less stagnant and stale separating the two parties. The group can hear the trio of black clad women bicker among each other. "I swear Irene, if you continue to drag your feet-" "I know Maude, I'm not four." "Pfft, it doesn't matter what you tell her sis, I think she'll never learn anything." "Agreed. I Still can't believe you're one of us. Me and your sister: beautiful women with a solid career path. You: not so much." "Will you just leave me alone?" "Not until you realize how much of a screw up you are." The three sister continue to banter away as they march down the sewer tunnel. Abbot can be heard in the back, trying to remain calm. What will the party do?
  21. Abbot nods in agreement. "We're all set? Wonderful! Come then, Arryana, lead the way." He smacks her on the arm with his cane. She grumbles. The other two Wolfgang members begin to stir. Daniel, the Assassin, wakes up first. "My god do I feel sore... Arryana, what the hell's going on?" "Change of plans. Abbot's not worth the trouble he's willing to pay for these guys he's got with him. I'm going to get them to where they need to go, then we're checking on the armory." "That so? I swear, one hair comes off her head, the trio of you and Abbot will enjoy swimming with the sewage." "Well when you put it like that..." "Alright, enough. Ensure Garfield comes to, Daniel. If I'm not back within the next few hours, you know what to do." Daniel grins, brandishing his shiny, shiny teeth. "But of course!" "Alright you lot, follow me, I know the way." Arryana leads the party back to where they first entered the sewers, the light from above the manhole streaming in and illuminating the dank sewers. "Now then, this hole in the wall the professor's talking about is in a rather secluded area of the sewers. There's only one way to access it, and to do so, you go straight from here (2 studs), then left (3 studs), straight (1 stud), then take the only turn, which is right (2 studs). From there, go straight, (4 studs) and you'll be in the area we Wolfgang call "The Secluded Grove". The air around that place is different, almost as if somethings in the air. The structure work also reeks of old school masonry, not this new stuff you see about you. It's nearly pitch black in there, and there's some weird flora growing in there. Perfect place to hide from the Watch if you ask me. A whole section caved in, what with all the rumbling going on down here. It's not the safest place to be in the sewers, but it's better than being out in the open." Abbot intensely writes every minute detail of Arryana's directions down in his journal. "Secluded Grove... strange flora... potentially unstable architecture... sounds like an adventure! If you lot are ready, we'll head out for this "Secluded Grove" immediately! " OOC: Here's some music for the underground area if you want some. It's a thirty minute version, so if you want a shorter version, let me know and I'll post it. Link The quest is finally picking up speed!
  22. "Boys, enough! If history has anything to teach, it's that there is strength in unity! Look at the Orcish Invasion! The people of Baltarok banded together as one to overcome their odds, and almost succeeded in taking over most of the known world! If they could get over some differences, I'm certain we can as well. I may not like our new acquaintances company, but I deal with it anyways for a bigger goal. If you lot are ready, Arryana will lead the way. I feel we may still have some obstacles to overcome." Abbot brushed himself off. It was clear the argument was bothering him.
  23. "Little? I'm not... shut it." Karie was of course wrong, and she knew it, but she wasn't ready to admit it. She didn't care about his wink. It was a friendly reminder if anything, and wasn't accompanied by a pack of wolves howling at her. "Left, or right? White or whole wheat? To be or not to be? decisions, decisions... We could follow Arnulf? I'm not against it at all, but with the Stealer about, best to take precautions." Karie looks down both alleys, looking to see what's ahead.
