Zaria recoils from the panel, waving her hand in the air in pain. Looking over her hand, she realizes the pain would subside eventually and curses in her native language. "Alright, fine. We tried playing your way, door. Now we do this my way." Zaria forcibly attempts to open the door using her strength. "Varen, mind lending a hand here? Please?"
-
Zaria looked at the corpse in front of her, grimacing. She bows her head out of respect and sighs. "May your journey to the afterlife be brief and comfortable. Though we did not know each other in this life, may our paths cross in the next. Ro uk fouso." She raised her head and took a moment before speaking. "Let us hope this not an omen of things to come." Nodding in Merei's direction, Zaria attempts to open it with the door panel.

“I think we have a consensus: we’re heading to the sickbay to look for supplies and survivors, and then to the Engineering to fix the lighting issue.” Zaria states. She draws her power khopesh from its sheath, illuminating a soft, insignificant blue glow. The blade thrummed in her hand. “I’ll take the lead. If anything should be reckless enough to charge us from the front I would rather be the one to shield us, frankly. Varen, you take the rear. Merei, Kirwin, you’re going between the two of us. Any questions?”

Heroica: Glory Amongst The Stars - Heroica Hall

Heisenberg smiles wryly, as he fetches a sturdy box of cigars from his coat, opening it briskly as he looks to Yelana. Retrieving a cigar, he lights the end ablaze with a snap of his fingers and inhales, blowing the smoke away from the other bar patrons. "I apologize if I seemed accusatory. I am always interested in a good story, and often times such story's are prone to contradiction. Humans are so full of them, after all. I can agree with you to an extent about Thudaal literature. Of course it has a repetitive quality to you say that as if it is a negative attribute. It has rhythm and rhyme, the way it flows like a river through time and speaks of the Thudaal's view on life an reincarnation and their flights from a place so dark and damnable-" Heisenberg takes a breath as his intensity in his voice reaches a fevered pitch. He takes a hand and preens his hair, ensuring it's tidiness. "Apologies. I get quite worked up talking about these sorts of things." Heisenberg frowns at Yelana's incapability to produce a story, biting his tongue "A pity, truly." Heisenberg crosses his legs, looking over Yelana with deflating interest. "It hasn't been too long since I arrived. I imagine I will be here for awhile. I want to take in this old place as much as I can before I depart. As for your warbot friend, I am afraid the description does not ring any bells. Apologies, m'dear." Heisenberg lowers his head in respect, raising it shortly afterwards to take a lengthy drag from his cigar. "Yes, that is her name. I believe her and Enson are versed enough with each other, but I'm stuck around the bar to know too much about their relationship. There's a good chance she's busy, but you might find her: there's a lot of stuff in this old building that needs fixing, and it can be hard to track her down when she's not loafing about her office." -
Zaria shivered. She had spent cold nights out in the desert, but it was not a comforting experience, and neither was this. She took out her holoscroll and invoked the first level of the Enhanced Vision spell written on it: Dark Sight. Her invocation, spoken in her native language, was delivered with clarity and precision as her breath became visible with every word uttered. "<Varuth, god of travels and knowledge, give me foresight to pierce this veil of darkness and proceed with safety. Grant me the gift of dark vision!>" After finishing the incant, she placed the scroll away and re-equipped her googles. "Best we make our way to the Sickbay? Or perhaps seeing if we can fix these lights might be a better option?" Zaria suggested.

Heroica: Glory Amongst The Stars - General Discussion

Well, this looks really great. -
Zaria quickly realizes her mistake and crosses her arms in defence. "I do not need to excuse my behaviour or what I said. I cannot be at fault for not being able to comprehend this poor integration of technology and information. If this was a travel brochure or a travel guide, I would be spending my spare time in writing a lengthy litany of dissatisfaction." "That is not a poor idea." Zaria comments. "It might also hold supplies for us to use should we need them. There are likely going to be some areas of the ship that we should prioritize investigating. After we search the sick bay, we should head to the Bridge. I feel like we will get some solid answers there."
-
Looking over the map, Zaria's interest is piqued. She'd only really been in a few spacecraft, and nothing this commercial. "I am to assume that the grey lines denote rooms or walls, correct? When we dock, will we be closer to Ext. Services, or the Sick Bay. Also, what is in Ext. Services, Hull Acc., and The Head? I can make some educated guesses, but I would prefer a direct answer from one of you two."
-
Zaria begins to remove her helmet to her spacesuit, running her hand through her hair, trying to regain it to it's original volume after being crammed into the helmet. "I cannot think of any questions at the moment. Likely once we see a better view of this missing freighter I might have questions in need of answers, but for now I am relieved our space walk went as smoothly as it did!" She beams at the rest of her team. As much as she understood the dangers of the walk, she couldn't help but feel the thrill of being adrift in the vastness of space still linger inside her, especially in a place a beautiful as it was dangerous as the Forbidden Sector.

Heroica: Glory Amongst The Stars - General Discussion

It's all good. I'm hoping to have one more player before beginning Mission 8, so sorry for the delay there. -
“We need B3 cleared before we can triangulate the signal there. Merei, clear that square and come back to the shuttle. Varen, you should triangulate the signal at B3 and make your way back. Kirwin, move to D1, triangulate the signal, and then come on back.” Zaria, realizing the group can handle the rest of the signal search on their own, stays on the Actaeon and waits.
-
OOC: Once we’ve triangulated a signal it stays on the tile it was triangulated on, correct?
-
"Do not forget we need to ensure the areas with the signal fragments are cleared of debris before we can lock onto them. I am going to lock onto our first signal coordinates and then head back to the Actaeon." Zaria could feel it getting hard to breath. She was pushing herself to dangerous lengths, but she knew she could push herself just a little bit more before needing to recuperate. She heads to D4, triangulates the position, and then returns to the Acteaon to refill her oxygen supplies and clear it of debris.
-
Zaria can feel the force of the storm pick up even from her position. She looks over at Merei. "Merei, meet me at the ship on B5. We will both refill our oxygen tanks there. Varen, keep an eye on Kirwin for me, he is in a bit of a precarious position." Zaria moves to B3, and then clears A3. She then moves to B5, waiting for Merei at the abandoned spacecraft.

Heroica: Glory Amongst The Stars - Heroica Hall

"Oh, pish posh!" Heisenberg replies in disdain. "You're a hero, are you not? Surely you must have a story you can recall? A recent exploit? An adventure you've been on? A place you've never seen before?" He waits expectantly, excited to hear what Bers has to say. -
So, when refilling in one of the abandoned ships, you get two levels of oxygen back, but one of them is empty and doesn't have oxygen. Is that correct, Legonater?
-
Zaria moves to B3 and explores it. She then turns around and moves to D4, hoping to get a better look at the debris of the Hart shuttle. “Let’s make plans to move back to the Actaeon next round. We are at a point where we should be a bit more concerned about our oxygen supply.”
-
OOC: I don't want to move too far up just yet. We have the first signal, which is good. I have the potential, as the fastest character here, to zip around this map a bit later once we've cleared up the right side of the map. What I want to avoid is a scenario where we get stuck needing to resupply oxygen and get the freighter without oxygen tanks. Maybe not next turn, but the turn after we should consider preparing for an oxygen resupply at the Acteaon.

"Mmm..." Heisenberg puts his empty glass on the table, dabbing his lips with a napkin from his pocket. "So, Yelana, my new adamite friend, perhaps either of you have a story to share? A tale of daring do and panache?" -
OOC: I still think Zaria will clear C4, but it doesn't hurt us too much to keep Zaria's action as is, since she can only clear one level of debris. Merei should still clear C4 as well, just to remove debris from the board.
-
OOC: In that case, Zaria clears B4, moves into B4, explores B4, and then clears C4 once.
-
Zaria looks behind her, noticing Kirwin stuck in garbage. Pushing herself away from the derelict ship, she clears the debris in B4, explores B4, and then clear C4 twice, helping Kirwin out of the mess. “Are you alright, Kirwin? Let’s keep an eye on our oxygen levels. We should coordinate a point in time where all of us can regroup at the Actaeon.”
