Looks like a good set. I especially like the inclusion of a cooking unit, which I thought was a tranparent gonk droid in all the low-res pics we had before. I think out of the last three big OT SW sets (in the new colours :/), the Sandcrawler comes off best. Somehow I'm unsure if I'll buy this or the ISD.

I'd buy 8813 for the pieces. I saw a pic of this set the other day but unfortunately cannot retrieve it. The nice thing was that it featured the old 80s knight helmets with grille in pearl silver! Probably just a prototype.

The red 7725 has always been my favourite train set although it looks a bit simple right next to the super chief with its brilliant silver cars. dunno, I'm just a big 12v fan.

I like Leia's room in Cloud City. Well done. It even has this strange spiral sculpture in the middle.

A 7725 Electric Passenger Train in excellent condition that is also my favourite set so far.

Sorry, I don't really remember Dengar's looks from the movie. He just appeared for the blink of an eye in that Star Destroyer bridge scene, didn't he? I didn't even know he wore an armour. "lol" Wasn't he more of a Nomad-headscarf type of character?

I agree. I never liked those clone robot bodies. They are not even real figs. Always annoyingly bend over.

IG-88 will go into the Sandcrawler, Slave I and the guard onto the CC landing platform. Dengar will man the Desert Skiff when the Barge hits the shelves *knight*

Yup, thank you for the review, Mr. Yoda. The re-design is really better than the original one. Out of the winter 2006 sets, I will only buy the Slave I, though.

Yes, thanks. Yellow is one of my favourite colours! I like the yellow slope bricks in the back but won't get the set because I am not that fond of those wheels. Moreover, I don't really have a need for the entire new city/airport theme and I won't buy all those vehicles just for parts.

Voted Merpeople, though there really isn't much to it... I think I just like the green in this small set. Creates a nice atmosphere. City beneath the Sea or something.

I read somewhere that the SW sets will come out on December 29th in Germany.., still in the old year lol

I was just browsing for the Sail Barge and found this: http://www.fbtb.net/gareth/sysbarge Wondering if you lot have already come across this. Probably it's not as accurate as BaronSat's work of art but I would be more than happy with this. Seeing how TLC pulled off the Sandcrawler, this one really would make sense.

That's what I thought of, too. Brutal! :-D The main tower looks good but the set has too much of an "action feel" to it, I think.

I won't buy it due to obvious juniorization. However, the service section is nice and there are some good parts in the set. If it came with yellow seats instead of red ones (useful for 7725 rebuilds), I would have bought it.

I also think it's inevitable we'll get another R2, as he's crucial to recreate the main action scene in the movie. I missed out on the Bib Fortuna set, thus I wouldn't mind having him in this set ;) I think he would be a sensible choice to include, even if I had him.

Ok, you persuaded me.., they should rather use all the bricks (at least 700!) for the main construction, not the sails.

I wouldn't mind those cloth sails either but I'd really prefer a red plate construction. Probably the designers could use those studless plates they also used for the marvellous Red Baron..,

I have the newer X-wing (4502). It's definately old colours which makes it a superb set. Falcon 4504 (pity), new minifig Snowspeeder, Tie Collection and Death Star are all new colours. ISD is old. Come on, I'm an expert on this :P

I think the new greys and brown don't look all too bad. It is just that it's horrible to combine the new bricks with the old tones. They are just useless if you dismantle the models. Not to mention the new minifigs. This has been discussed a thousand times, but whenever this pops up you'll hear my take on it haha One of the biggest mistakes Lego made in the recent past.., Still, I'm dying to see Lego's official rendition of the Sail Barge! P.S. I think the last real grey set was the X-Wing with Yoda's hut, but I could be mistaken. Cheers!

I'd also like a vehicle comparable to the one he made. Especially on the colour side. Like his Sail Barge it should come in the old greys, oh well.., my 'junk box' of new colours is almost filled to the brim now..

Baronsat already used a tan round plate on R2's head for his SB.., I think the plate should have some connections to R2's legs, but this is hard if not impossible to pull off.
