  1. The good news is that there seems to be a larger than expected demand for such a product. So we'll be seeing more products like this (I hope).
  2. My 10 year old daughter made one using parts of the Hogwarts Express I motorized and one of the cars of a maersk train where we replaced the blues with reds. She took some pictures, see if I can upload them. We tracked it around the christmas tree.
  3. I actually came across it in a shop here in Belgium (FNAC) if I'm correct. It's brand new so I suppose it's still in production. They sell all architecture sets there for a strange reason (it normally sells books, cd's, DVD's and electronics gear).
  4. The Architecture Studio (21050) set looks a lot like what you're saying. A roof set would be more than useful. I have a lot of red roof pieces, but other colors are much more interesting. Most Lego Creator sets often have a large collection of interesting parts. I recommend these often to people who just want to create new stuff.
  5. I bought two with a 25% discount in a Dreamland store a few months back. With the lego room ready I can finally take them out of their box. But shhttt, don't tell my wife :-)
  6. I love the snot techniques for the nose, would love to try it out on a Belgian train I want to build (but only have in LDD at the moment). Great model, nice train.
  7. The shared bogies are well executed. There simple but effective I think. And Duq, thanks for the tip. Try my next photo's outside, or in the kitchen where I get more sunlight.
  8. I'm a software developer from Belgium. I came out of my dark ages a few years back when I found all the building plans for my old Classic Space on the Internet. From that it went downhill :-). A few weeks back I started my Dutch language lego blog, targeted to children and adult lego fans. I try to bring most Lego news, especially from Belgium and the Netherlands (www.bouwblokjes.be). And this weekend I finished my Lego loft. It contains a corner desk and a 11 by 9 lego plate table with a hole in the middle to put our Lego city and Lego trains. My kids enjoy the lego as I do. Mostly my daughter, but my son likes to play too, although he's attention span is a bit low and he's more a play outside kind of kid (which is great I suppose). I love trains, own most trains that came out the last 5 years, a 7740 that I bought with a busload of other sets from a colleague and still have my first 4,5V old lego blue period train. So this is my first post, have been lurking the forum for ages. Hope to be a bit more active in the forums the coming weeks and months.
  9. Nice one. I take one of these regularly (In Brussels) and had my own plans to build one. You can make some nice details on the roof, because all the stuff is on there instead of under the train. I'm working on a 18 series locomotive.
