  1. Very neat but simple design for this table... http://www.abgc.ie/portfolio/boys-girls
  2. Seen at Creative Review... http://www.creativereview.co.uk/cr-blog/20...on-fashion-week As one commenter has already pointed out, these are hardly at the top of the building game!
  3. I'm speechless. Simply amazing
  4. I got the Lava Dragon a few weeks ago in Dublin and it's a pretty good game. Recommended.
  5. Thanks for that. Cheques will be in the post! :-)
  6. That would be a great pity for those of us living out here in the Sticks!
  7. Called into Toys R Us in the UK (a rare event for me) and picked up a couple of boxes. I was looking for the Pirate Tank (7753) or perhaps Ahsokas ship (7751) but neither was there so I got Dooku and one of the remaining Clone battle packs (and of course the surprise freebie at the till!). Count Dooku's Solar Sailer (7752) - for the collection Clone Battle Pack (8014) - for the army
  8. The video response to the original YouTube video is pretty interesting... Some interesting colour schemes!
  9. Hi We're hoping to travel over at the end of this week to Legoland Windsor and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for local hotels. We stayed at one in Eton last year but even in their largest room the family of four were somewhat snug! We'll not have a car and I'm not sure if any hotels have shuttles to Legoland? Anyway, any kind advice would be welcome. Thanks
  10. I got a copy of Lava Dragon the other day and it's surprisingly good! The microfigures are very cute and SO small! I can see them popping up in MOCs as crowd figures or perhaps as children.
  11. Just five boxes: 7632 : City Crawler Crane (present for a friend) 7667 : Dropship (had to get an extra 'spare' before they all get sold out) 7669 : Anakins Starfighter (A few Euros off list price and another R2!) 8015 : Assassins Battle Pack (realised that I didn't have one - so just for the collection) Game : Lava Dragon (surprisingly good game with a great amount of playtime - recommended) Might go back next week to pick up a couple of boxes of Hailfire droids.
  12. Surely it'll replace SpongeBob as the cartoon theme? SpongeBob fans have grown into Ben 10 fans (my son has) and he's already excited about the prospect.
  13. Nice review, nice set and great back-story. Thanks PS. I don't understand why there's, a yellow rather than orange light in the middle. Strange.

    Pet Peeves

It really annoys me to see people typing 'Legos'. There is no 'S' on the plural, it's simply Lego!
  15. I have done on a fairly regular basis but unfortunately they insist on using a very old exchange rate (certainly compared to their Sterling prices) and it's becoming harder and harder to justify the prices when shopping from Ireland. If they properly realign the Euro in their pricing I'm sure they#d see a lot more sales from over here.
  16. They were in TRU Derby a couple of weeks ago.
  17. I know I may appear to be completely stupid here, but what does it do?
  18. I called into Toys R Us in Derby yesterday to find them filling the shelves with the new City Farm sets. Picked up a tractor (£7.99) , which is a great little set.
  19. Nice review although I did buy one at the weekend and I think it's a great kit. Might almost be tempted to get a second one.
  20. I called into Byrnes (World of Wonder?) and Smyths in Waterford yeserday. Byrnes were still unpacking their boxes and nothing had prices on when I was there. There were lots of unopened Lego outer boxes sitting on the top of the shelves in Smyths. On display were Pirates (was after the Impulse set, but none there), Power Miners (actually look a lot better than I anticipated), City (mostly construction plus new City 'Battle Pack'), Indy (not really interested) and some Creator sets (did I really see one with a mini-figure in it?). Girl on the check-out said that they had yet to unpack all of the new sets. New sets picked up at Smyths: 3 x 8014 Clone Battle Packs @ €12.99 (almost all gone - lots of assassin sets left) 1 x 8018 Armoured Assault Tank @ €54.99 (expensive but a great build) Also a couple of older City sets. Good to see that Smyths prices are lower than the Argos ones. :-)
  21. Brilliantly composed and played out. You can actually imagine them saying it all!
  22. This is interesting: "We'll also be giving you a carry case, playmat and LEGO stickers too."
  23. Called into Smyths today to find one of the staff marking down a whole bunch of sets. Seems like there's going to be a rolling set of promotions all the way up to Christmas. All together there were around 20 sets marked down on her list. They included (can't recall them all, just the ones that were of interest!): 4997 - Transport Ferry 7743 - Police Command Centre Lots of Bionicles and at least one bucket of bricks Nothing similar happening in Byrnes though.
  24. A small trip but some nice savings: 7020 - Army of Vikings with Heavy Artillery Wagon (down to €20) 7743 - Police Command Centre (down to €35)
  25. Interestingly Smyths had dropped the price of some of the Clone Wars sets last week wehn I popped in. At least €10 or €15 off some of the larger ones.
