TheBrickHitHouse, I´m no MOD/admin, and this might not be my thing to say, but I´m getting very irritated on people who write such things as you did. Just because $40 may not be much money for you, it can be very much money for some people. EuroBricks is supposed to be a friendly website, and it really isn´t a big deal that someone complains on a LEGO sets´ price. It´s you who are spoiling for us others when you are blaming other people for nothing. He doesn´t say tat he can´t afford $40 in a year, he is just saying that it is a too high price for such a small set. For me, $100 is a LOT of money and it is for many other people, too. Everyone isn´t rich, you know. You can´t compare LEGO with Ferrari, because Ferrari is one of the most expensive cars, and LEGO is a toy. Ferrari certainly is too expensive, but there is a lot of specialized pieces in a Ferrari car, and it isn´t made of plastic as LEGO is. Besides, there are many TFOLs on this site (tip; check my profile) who act more mature than many grown-ups ever will do. Take your own ´outrage´ as an example, you´re whining like a 12-year old, no offense. Please don´t blame other people for nothing in the future. If you continue to write things like this, you will most likely get banned. (Mods/Admins, please forgive me for writing this, I know it´s not my thing to do, I just become so angry on people who blame others for nothing, especially when EB is supposed to be the frendliest LEGO website in the world. What he wrote wasn´t friendly at all.)

2009 Ferrari Victory set 8768 in my local store! (Not the Tiny Tur
Dennimator replied to Dennimator's topic in LEGO Licensed
No prob! Yea, that would be good, except that the cars wouldn´t cost $10 then, but $15. This set costs 279 SEK, which is well over $30. -
Hi! I went to my local toystore today, and I found the 8168 Ferrari Victory set there! I won´t post a review as I didn´t buy it, but I took some new box pictures. Also, if you want this set and don´t want to wait until 2009, just PM me and I´ll buy it for you for the MSRP+shipping(I´ll try to make the shipping as cheap as possible). Here are the pics: Front of the box: Unfortunately, the flags seems to be stickers, as all the decals on the cars, and the ´wall´. Back: A close-up of the back of the cars: I think the set is pretty well designed, but the main reason why I didn´t get is because the almost unbeleviably high amount of stickers and that I think that the cars are a little too big. EDIT:400th post! Yay!

Thanks again! Actually, I just recieved another of those torsos from my friend(for free! ), so all I need for your sigfig now is the black cowboy-hat. Whacking ON! :skull:
-
Ok, thanks! That´s why I call it a WIP, I don´t have that amount of 1x1 or 1x2 plates in any other colour than trans-yellow.
-
Ok, thanks! The hair is brown, right?
-
Yeah, but which colour should I use? Black doesn´t look very good because then you aren´t able to tell apart the face and the hair, and grey just doesn´t look good. Ok, I´ll skip the tongue. Yes, the face must be a humans, because I´m basing it on a real engraving. As for the tongue, I based it on a real pic:
-
Yeah, I did a search for the piece on Peeron. It was in the 2005 Bionicle set 8761 Roodaka.
-
Cool! Where did you get those clips in trans-orange?

Hi! My mom runs a Looxis store called "3D Crystal Design" in Helsingborg (Sweden). Looxis is a company which engraves faces or photos into a glass block in 3D. She has asked me to build an "engraved glass block" in lego. I have come pretty far, but since this is my first attempt to make a sculpture of a head in lego, I´m not really pleased with how the head turned out (it´s going to stand in the shopping window, so I want it to be pretty impressive). So I was thinking that I could post the MOC here on EB, so that other builders who are more experienced with building sculptures could give me tips and suggestions. As you can see, the head can´t be higher than 10 studs, and are supposed to be about as big as mine. (The 1x2 trans pieces which I use as the top of it will be replaced with the big ones I use for the walls. Also, the 2 1x1 (or 1 2x1) trans-yellow piece(s) which are missing will soon come in a BL order.) Overview: Front: Back: 2009 text: HEAD Front: Side view: ' Back: (Please note that the back is supposed to be hollow as the original engravings is, too.) A pic of the hair: Pics of a (real) engraved block: (Sorry for the bad pic, it´s pretty hard to take pics of those.) You can see more pictures of glass blocks in different angles on www.3dcrystaldesign.se Please help me with the face design!

Thanks! Yea, it´s pretty fun to build it, too. :skull: Ok, I´ll try to. That´s Dr. Jones´ torso and legs, right? No, sorry, it´s Zorro3999. Thanks, but as I said to AgentRick57, that´s Zorro3999. (I couldn´t make you, too, I only have 1 of that Western torso.

Thanks! (Actally, I´m running out of trees... )

Power Miners: New Sets for 2009
Dennimator replied to cartoondude's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Must...have... -
Done. Here is a link to it.
-
Then it must´ve been very cheap! How many did you buy, and how much did they cost each?
-
Hi! I recently wanted to make a custom minifig torso, using this template. However, I just copy&pasted it, and I´ve read that you shouldn´t do that. How do I do to resize it? (If it´s necessary, I can post the custom design here tomorrow.) Thanks!

Nice! I like those monsters! Do you think you can get one of those for me? (If you think the shop could give you another, that is.) -
Snow Box Derby Rules & Discussion
Dennimator replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in General LEGO Discussion
If you look a few pages (?) back, someone (I think TheBrickster) said that Reviewers Academy teachers could participate, too. -
This is a request from my sister; do anyone have pics of the 2009 Belville sets?

Sideline Scenes: Rules & Discussion

I´ve finished my entry. Click here to see it. -
Thanks! Thanks! Since WF didn´t say anything about it, I think that it´s OK. Yeah... My photo studio doesn´t by far have room for a MOC of this size (have to make a bigger one), I had to find another solution. That´s why that Peach Nectar is there. I don´t have the parts for it... Thanks! It wasn´t going to be this big from the beginning, first I were only going to use that 32x32 hill piece, then I added more and more details and baseplates, and at last it finished like this. I used every single white plate I had (except those which are in my other MOCs and sets) to build this. It took me about 2½ hours of building, searching and sorting. Thanks! Nah, CopMike kind of deserved this...or not. However, he survived. It must be a new experience for him to be ´whacked´ in the a$$ by two snow-boxes.

B-V-7F Hi! I´ve finally(?) made my Snow-Box Non-Staff entry, and was thinking that I could post a whole thread showing most of the details of it because it´s so big (It´s the same size as the big grey baseplate!). Here goes: Dennimator did come a long way to participate in the Snow-Box competition. However, when he finally arrived he was told only EB staff were able to participate. So Dennimator decided to at least test ride the slope. Unfortunately that wasn´t that leagal... Full overview: Front Overview: Back Overview: Side Overview: Dennimator´s sled, using three other EB members as ski´s: Copmike was going on the track when Dennimator was test-riding it, and Dennimator couldn´t resist doing something that the Police Sled soon are going to (accidentally) do very soon... (I told ya in the Chrome topic): The police sled: (I had no Police stickers left, so I had to us the Polizei ones instead) Hinckley and Sinner was going to compete in the Snow-box race together, but it turned out that Sinner had forgotten their snow-box at home, busy eating all those clams. However Hinck quickly found a solution... Note that all minifigs is EB members sigfigs: ...All, except these two (my moms and sisters sigfigs): Snack stands: Red one: Green one: A last (little blurry) front view:

Snow Box Derby Rules & Discussion
Dennimator replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Yeah, I know, but it´s better to have Hinck as a slave oops... servant than Hagrid. Lucky for you that I´ve already taken the pics on my entry, otherwise I would have loved to include your snow-box in a little...crash scene.
