  1. I hope it's okay to bump this up, Oky Wan Kenobi, because this is a fantastic vehicle. I can picture your train on Inferno Island, on a rail that loops around the island, through the jungle, and into the Volcano base. Awesome work, I love it to pieces. Do you still have this one together? I'd love to see an Agents train, possibly something very similar to the mobile command center but carrying some of their vehicles along through the city.
  2. I'm glad this thread got bumped when it did. I came rolling on in to see what was up with the huge cleansing of Agents on Lego.com and I saw this MOC thread. Jesus Christ, brickzone. You did what I had tried so hard to do. I spent countless hours with the LEGO Digital Designer, trying my damndest to build an affordable Agents' HQ I could order. This tower of yours is close to one of my designs, which was going to be based off of one of the Lifeguard lighthouse sets. In the end, I designed a once-set "garage" part with modular connections so I could order additional parts in the future. I'm geeking out right now because of your MOC and I want to share pictures and junk, but I won't at the moment because this is your thread. Great job. Do you still have this built and did you get around to making the trailer for the boat? I'd love to see what you did if you got around to it. Your army of Agents is more diverse than mine, I'm jealous. I'm using garbage generic heads as "fodder Agents." But maybe my team of Inferno specialist Generals could be worthy adversaries.
  3. I was going to say the same thing. Another interesting piece usage is the studded accessory on the falling fig. At first I was curious how the head was attached to the figure in the first place, but then I spotted it. Very nicely done.
  4. I don't really like this, I'm sorry. It looks like you just cut out the floor from the Mobile Command Center and pasted it onto some baseplates. I know bases are difficult to design, especially with a color scheme using Earth Blue. If you'd like some ideas, you're free to PM me.
  5. Very very interesting. I'd like to see if 8634 Agents Turbocar can be modified with a steering mechanism, since your car looks similar in design.
  6. I really like this. The idea of modifying that car was floating about in my mind, and it's nice to see that it can be done. Thank-you for the inspiration. I may go out and grab a few Racers and post my tinkers if I become successful.
  7. That's a fantastic idea. I'd love to use it to add to my own Volcano base if you grant permission.
  8. Oh, thanks for the link. I forgot one was posted so long ago. And that reminds me. If a moderator stops by, can the thread title be edited to include the set number 8636? Much appreciated in advance.
  9. While browsing the site, I noticed a total of 8 sets listed instead of the previous 7. http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?p=8636&cn=543
  10. I'm sure the pin on the tiara piece is inserted into the pin whole on the helmet face-piece.
  11. This is an ironic announcement. The Brickster posted this article in the Towns section not too long ago: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=21509
  12. You built this in the older style of LEGO building. Nowadays, everyone is going ape-shit for smooth edges, "SNOT", tiles, and what have you. This model proves those newer techniques aren't always the best. You've shown one can take the original ways of LEGO building and still make impressive models. Kudos.
  13. Who doesn't like Helicopters? I've been debating about picking up Alpha Team sets because they're very similar to the Agents, but the color scheme doesn't match too well. Perhaps I'll pick up both RES-Q and Alpha Team, since they seem like they're the same group with matching colors.
  14. I found it to be quite the opposite. When I went to pick up this set a while back, I grabbed three boxes instead of one. This gave me one set to keep built and the other two gave me a decent assortment of Technic pins and such, as well as a couple of flying and ground vehicle accessories. There's a lot of little neat parts in this set that warrants a few extra copies, especially since it's a relatively low-priced set.
  15. I don't plan on putting any of the digital designs up for purchase quite yet. I'm not able to order any of these sets myself, and I'm still tweaking them especially now since LDD updated with the Custom Cars set pieces. I've added Dr. Inferno henchmen to a couple of them already and I'm looking to add more details now that some pieces come in new colors. Once I upload, I'll update. Don't worry, I won't keep it a secret.
  16. You're in luck. http://www.saber-scorpion.com/lego/halo.php By the way, I am not Saber-Scorpion.
  17. The fight scenes in the town were filmed in Kairouan; by then Ford was suffering from dysentery. He had enough, and did not want to shoot a fight scene between Indiana and a swordsman. He said to Spielberg "Why don't we just shoot the sucker?" Spielberg agreed, scrapped the rest of the fight scene, and filmed the gag of Indiana quickly shooting the swordsman. http://web.archive.org/web/20070612222640/...0113/index.html There's a more accurate description, but you're right. It wasn't a pre-planned scene and one worthy of a vignette.
  18. Ah, there we go. It looks a lot more proportionate without the two arm parts and it looks as though it still has the same range of motion. Thanks for the pics.
  19. It's a very generic design, but the entire set makes up for the lack of creativity by including many interest pieces. The printed bricks look excellent for MOCs and there are plenty of other useful bricks. May I request a favor? I'd like to see how the mech looks with each arm missing a section. Would it be possible to remove the bicep from each arm and snap a picture?
  20. I've had the idea to work on just that very concept but I'd like to get some feedback about some ideas. Maybe I'll start a thread later about the issue and see if anyone else has any ideas.

    City cars

Fantastic, thank-you very much. When I get my hands on a few more Agents Mission 5's for the Turbocar parts, I'll MOC up a version of your car in chrome.

    City cars

I'd love to get my hands on instructions to build the black convertible and see if I could modify it with chrome bricks.
  23. Those are some good vehicles. May I make a suggestion? You can forgo the doors for alternate colors and order the different color doors on bricklink.
  24. Thank-you for the positive comments. I hope to be able to update soon for additional information if anyone requests. If you're asking about price, the total comes to about $73 USD. That's actually a bit much for my taste and I have been working on plans to reduce the cost by removing redundant or irrelevant features.
  25. Thank-you for the review, WhiteFang. I always did want to collect the old floating boat sets, but I was only able to afford one of them (#4002 Riptide Racer) and this review has inspired me to look some of these up on Bricklink.
