Ok, so i FINALLY beat that race!!! After figuring out you can actually boost with WW, it still took me like half an hour of failed attempts to finally make it :) Felt good though in the end

Wait, you can...boost with Wicked Witch? UGH i feel like such an idiot right now! How come it doesn't work with L1 (PS4) though like it does with the vehicle boosts?? Maybe i'll try the other buttons hmmm

Yeah i just figured that may be the only way to be SURE you got the gold brick already or not... Ugh, tonight i'm gonna try that damned race one more time with Benny's Spaceship. Shame it's so much less maneuverable than Wicked Witch is

Are you sure? I coulda sworn that races only show the race icon on the mini map, not the gold brick hmmm... Also: I now understand why that race atop the lighthouse in Scooby World is considered hard :( Which character/vehicle did you guys use to finish it? I tried Wicked Witch and made it to the side of the island where 2 rings are so far apart that no matter what i do it's NEVER enough by a hair to make it, she's not fast enough.

Is there a way to tell which races you already completed/have got a gold brick from?

LOL i actually DID do the Velma glasses quest yesterday night, but i thought it was pretty laid back since you're essentially getting a tour of the island for free included kinda :P The race atop the lighthouse still needs to be done...challenge accepted! I'm a fiend for those races ;)

First time i had to use vine cutting yesterday, so i at least felt like the JW pack was justified :P Used Owen at first which is SLOOOOOW at it, but then the raptor does an ace job at cutting it all down :) Gotta say, i am liking that Scooby World more and more, maybe enough to even declare it my favorite right now from the ones i've tried.

Well, there's a couple dinos in a few locations (plus the Mossasaur) but overall it's really more of the actual park with food stands etc.

Went to the Scooby hub for the first time yesterday, and... i was positively surprised :) Just a nice understated and slightly creepy atmosphere, with some nice details packed in there... loved the mansion on the hill with it's own theme inside etc.

Alright, so what's everybody's favorite hubworld? So far, from the ones i've been to, i'd say Jurassic World (just very peaceful and relaxing, quite a few nices surprises) and maybe the DC ones have been great for me (Atlantis ftw)

Thing is, how do you figure out who that "all around" character actually IS? I mean, i got Sensei Wu to get access to Ninjago hub AND cover Legolas abilities (polevaulting etc. i think)

Yeah i guess i will be alternating as well once in a while... but still, i told myself to mainly get characters based on abilities, not on "charm" or looks ;) because then i'd probably have to get them ALL at some point :(

I actually just want to make sure i didn't miss any key abilities for Benny that's all! It wasn't meant to be a smart Alec type of comment, sorry ;)

Damn i mistakenly thought Benny had some unique abilities that i didnt have covered yet with other characters, so i bought him (and his spaceship) but now i found out that Cyberman pretty much got it covered already :(

Question: Are Gold bricks actually used for anything else besides upgrading vehicles? I was wondering whether i'd run out when i upgrade too much...

How about a Binary Sunset and a full on Mos Eisley Cantina for example?

An Ewok village COULD be amazing even as a display set but would require far too many pieces i guess, so in all likelihood, a playset it shall be hmm

I can actually understand BOTH sides here concerning Re-issues: On the one hand it's true that everyone should have the right and possibility to acquire a UCS set of their favorite ship. Hell, i myself will be profiting as i came out of my dark ages not even a year ago, so i will GLADLY get this model and finally own a UCS X-Wing!! On the other hand though, i can see that this kind of defeats the purpose of these UCS sets for collectors since it destroys that "Holy Grail" status that some sets can get like the UCS Falcon etc. It breaks the MYTH!

Awesome! At first i thought "meh it's alright" but then when i actually scrolled down to see the details, truly great work! Love that run down look you gave everything, like for instance the sideways wooden panels on the slave podium or the ever so slightly not fixed log parts on the bottom of it etc.

So did Lego publicly state that the Marvel Superhero sets are specifically "made for kids" while other themes are NOT or why do you guys say this? hmm I agree though, they DO seem that way, just wondering if it's official or it just happens this way...
