During LEGOWorld 2015 we asked the AFOLs a couple of impossible questions. Here you'll find the shocking truth. Also we've included a small compilation of all the beautiful things that were on display in 2015.

Although I have finished this MOC almost a year ago, I never got around to make good pictures of it. Still though, I have to take some overview shots, but I'm waiting for a nice white background and some nice weather. Till then, I hope you'll enjoy these snapshots of some smaller parts of my MOC. I want to instal LPub 4.0.0.10, but the site is down: http://www.kclague.net/LPub/ Anybody who can help me?

Perhaps you could send me an original Luke head, because I have non. The only figures I own are Vader, R2-D2 and C-3PO, so my choises are limited...

The SW MOC Contest on LowLug has given me the opportunity to practice with taking pictures. That's why I got to work with this fantastic shot from the first Star Wars movie (IV). Building the scene was fairly easy and quick. But taking the picture has taken me more than an hour, creating the right shot, until I was pleased with the result: LowLug Star Wars Contest by workfromtheheart, on Flickr

After space, I decided it was time to try something SteamPunk. So here it is. After the great failures of the prototypes 1, 2 and 3, Dr. Schweitzer hasn't given up. Finally, after many months of hard labour and sleepless nights, the professor has found a way to make his Prototype SPX-4 work. Hope it doesn't explode this time... Flickr Brickshelf

Not just any rubber bands, but real LEGO rubber bands ;-) The chrome 1x1's come from the Titan XP set.

Very nicely done! I'm thinking on making a miniland figure myself for quite some time, and your excellent pictures give me a very good practice. Thanks. PS: Please come over to LowLug and post this there also.

Brilliant grapics work, can't wait to see the movie
-
I must say, this is nice! I like the details, colors, towers, sqauriness... So, I like it all! :)
-
No, just the rubber bands, but it holds very nicely. (Buy not suitable for play, but that's not why I build...)

It is indeed very different. But I like your interpertation as well. It's lots of fun how two different people can build such different creations, by looking at the same object.

Modulex MOC for BrickFair: Greenhouse
workfromtheheart replied to Karyn's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The colors are working great on this MOC. Fine example of what can be done with Modulex. -
The Purple/Pink is just brilliant. Works very nice in this setting. Lovely details, nice work.

MOC: WIP Volvo Front loader with "hydraulics"
workfromtheheart replied to Selander's topic in LEGO Town
Looks very realistic. It has that real "Volvo-feeling" -
Yes it's a lot of fun. I train both styles of Hapkido, with lots of kicks, rolls and circels. And also Hankumdo, witch is swordfighting. In fact next saturday we have an exam, where we have to 'write' the Korean alphabet with swordtechniques.

Hello there, I allready entered the community some time ago, but I decided to try to become more active here, so I wanted to introduce myself properly. My name is Ruben Ras, but online I use the name workfromtheheart. I was born in 1988 and I live in a small town in the Netherlands, called Urk. I'm a fulltime primary school teacher and I train in Hapkido four times a week. Besides LEGO I like to read and build websites. Some things I've build to give you an idea what my style is: More on Flickr, or my personal website www.mocsfromtheheart.com.

I take a couple of white papersheets and used that for back- and underground. Take the pictures in good daylight (4 or 5 pm is most perfect). Let photoshop do the rest. (And luck is also very important).

This is my very first attemt to build a space ship. I felt challenged by the GHL contest, so I just started building and this is the result. More on Flickr, or www.mocsfromtheheart.com.
