Thanks! I just happened upon this from this weekend too...https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=10228922045146590&set=pcb.10228922080027462

Rather than reinventing the wheel or embarking on a lot of trial and error from scratch - has anyone published their own findings or tips on how to create a break in a train display to enter the center of the display, rather than having to club under tables?

What’s the math for 30 degree connection points?

Thanks! was that *should* as in, you're not sure if there's one or not, or *should* as in perhaps someone should create a panel since you're sure there's not one? -
There’s got to be a simple rule that can tell me where I can make connections for these diagonal beams using cheese slopes. There has to be a better way than just trial and error with plates and such. Help? im trying to make an M for a logo. I attached a pic of the stud.io file and what I’ve got physically.

can you think of any other piece so prominently depicted that wasn't a real piece?

I added them to my own hosting, but doesn't look like there's a working tag functionality...

I am back with photographic evidence!!! He's depicted in the city movie at LEGOLAND NY as well as the screen in the queue line outside the theatre! CornCobGuysCornCobInMovie.png corncobguyscorncobqueue1.png the site will only upload pics less than 100kb, which won't be useful here... http://sixf00t4.com/lego/CornCobGuysCornCobInMovie.png[/img]

I just got back from LEGOLAND New York, and there are multiple pictures and videos of the corn cob guy CMF holding corn cobs! At first, I thought I must have forgotten that was a piece, but upon further research, the minifigure corn cob does not exist. I didn't snap a picture there, and I can't seem to find one online either. What's strange is that that series of CMF ran with the question "Who stole my corn???" as if they wanted to draw attention to the corn cob guy not having the corn cob...anyone have any more information about where the corn cob accessory is and why it wasn't included and why it exists in legoland?

are we sure that MEK and acetone actually bond the bricks? this product seems like it just "cleans" the material - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004670W1U?keywords=abs%20adhesive&qid=1446402562&ref_=sr_1_14&refinements=p_85%3A2470955011&sr=8-14 -

what would be the application technique? just coat it after it's built? put drops on each brick as it is layed? -

Sorry, didn't have notifications on, so I never got any updates. interesting... so I'm looking at $20 http://www.essentialhardware.com/sunnyside-84732-methyl-ethyl-ketone-160580.html?utm_campaign=google&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&gclid=Cj0KEQjwqsyxBRCIxtminsmwkMABEiQAzL34PY6Wh2_PuWpf11CgxGuPRvqaX79Ev7l5iRDzXJ-LdloaAtYv8P8HAQ or $10 http://www.amazon.com/Rust-Oleum-Automotive-248667-32-Ounce-Acetone/dp/B003Y8DI4K/ref=pd_sim_60_4?ie=UTF8&dpID=51CHxX50YDL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR98%2C160_&refRID=0Q95ER30D53HMPA4SX28 from the first link, it seems MEK is slower to dry...maybe that helps with the time to place the bricks and leaving the lid off as you build? very interesting option though, since it's available cheaply at large quantity, where super glue/kragle is not. how about UV protection? -
I built a lampost for my house and I want to know how best to protect it. Does anyone recommend a UV protector clear coat? How about a glue for the ~6 foot tall lampost? It's pretty much all red 2x4 bricks. I'm thinking about clear silicon sealant on the interior to try to protect it from the elements a bit. I do plan to wire it up with a working light.

I did try to do that, but I agree, perhaps not as much that would create a nice detail. There are a few 2x3 plate based trees, and i added some 1x1 round brown plates the the trunk to add a variety in height. Definitely a small detail that could go a long way, thank you!

I put this up on cuusoo in aug 2013, and it was at ~70 votes last friday. Thanks to reddit, then University of Pittsburgh, Then local media outlets, then a BUNCH of other people, like the Mayor of Pittsburgh, sharing it, it got up to 700 votes in a week, making it the 4th most supported project last week. http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/43478 more info about the build here - http://sixf00t4.com/2012/06/cathedral-of-learning-in-lego-bricks/ I have no idea how to top the exposure than Pitt sharing it. it generated about 8,000 page views, and from what I can tell on the projects that broke 10,0000 votes, they were at +300,000 page views. So, my support to view ratio is much better, but dang, how to break that many views??? I was hoping to just break 1,000 to get a LEGO official comment, but I think that burst of supports will be the peak activity.

Brickstore not highlighting errors
sixf00t4 replied to sixf00t4's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
That's a whole separate problem and old thread though...why would you move it there? -
I just had my PC crash so I had to reinstall brickstore on my win7 box. I'm running the same version as before, 1.1.16. When I import a set or add a new piece, it used to highlight the price in red, since it was $0.00 and list it as an error. Now it's not doing anything. Also, I am pretty sure there was a way to mass edit the comments, but I don't see that option now... What ever happened to this program anyway? The author doesnt respond to mails for me to buy a license for it.
