I'm totally in love with the idea of doing doom legos :) I think it would be kinda cool to do a whole line of creatures and marines... Are you making any more?
-
Ooooh, I'll take one of those. Put me in the raffle!
-
The helicopter is really cool but I don't get what the base is meant to be. Is it the deck of a ship? The roof of a futuristic building? I'm really not sure. Be cool if it was the deck of a ship... Hmmm, zombies on an aircraft carrier :) Edit: fat fingers make silly words.

Yeah it is a shame they seemed to have vanished. Even if they weren't the main focus of the story but still had some cool parts like back in the metru nui day, I'd be cool with that. Oh, and I'll argue the Barraki armies because frankly, minus the takea sharks, we rarely got descriptions of them or really saw them in combat. They were background fodder even though they were the main bad guys minions. It would be like starwars without getting descripions of the storm troopers.
-
Yeah, those are not preliminary shots or prototypes... So, don't expect ANY changes. They are probably going to stay exactly like they are.
-
They'll probably be about the same cost. The mistika weren't expensive because that is how much lego had to charge for them, they were exensive because it was how much lego could charge for them, blaming the price hike on gas and such.

Ok, I'm alittle confused. When are these sets coming out? It should be this late winter, right? Don't we typically have much worse pics of the late winter sets? I mean, these shots look like they came DIRECTLY out of the magazine the stockers get. I've looked through the mags for my local stocker (she's awesome BTW) and these shots look exactly like something that would be in it. Sorry if this is old but is everyone sure we aren't getting more sets in like october? I just don't remember having this good of shots this early. I mean, we've gotten shots from a retailer mag before but not from something it looks like the stockers would have. Just a thought.

Ok, we know any set that looks like an animal or insect is always bad in lego's mind, right? (This drives me super nuts but that is another story). So, because of the inclusion of a bug-like set, I'd say these sets are split good/bad. I'd rather have them all just be gladiatos but whatever the story will probably be bad anyway. Bad are probably the white one, the tan one, and the red one because they are clumped together. Good are the others since they are clumped on the other side. Red is probably the bad leader and green is probably the good. (Because of the larger pics). On another note to everybody calling them megabloks... You're right, they do look like megabloks. And the hands do remind me of KK but I think they will make nicepieces none-the-less. (I'm actually super hyped about the hands).

Never pass up a chance to get something for free, sign me up!

I don't think a minifig hand can fit in the hole of a cut saber. I could be wrong, this isn't my area of specialty but I don't think it would work, sorry :(

Cool. The biggest thing I'd say is try to stick more to his colorscheme. Like, those red hands and feet, they stick out alot and if they were black it would tie it together better. I like the idea of him being smaller and using normal style legs. Too often do people make huge mountains of parts and call it an MOC.

I wouldn't use the word realistic. They use fleshies to more accurately portray the chracters of the show/movie. Other non-movie lines still use yellow (thankfully). As for the guns hey gave us something they knew the fans wanted... Plus it helped them expand the line. They know sets sell better when they have new pieces, plus it gave them an excuse to keep releasing rehashes of the same sets. Honestly, I don't like the fleshies and am very happy they stay in the movie themes that I don't typically buy. As for the new guns, it is always nice to have new parts.

Yeah, they don't typically make instructions for alternates. If on the extremely rare chance they do, the instructions will probably be on the main lego site. I believe they did it once or so for the exo force ones, or gave you more pictures, or something. Anyway try brickshelf, some people like to build the alternates and then post pics of how to do it.

The different prices on LEGO in the US vs. Europe
Kakihara Smile replied to CopMike's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'll be the first to say I don't understand ecconomics 100% but Lego is basically subsidizing the losses created by the ecconomy in the larger US market with higher prices in Europe, right? If so that makes complete sense (to me anyway). Still, this whole situation just seems like it could lead to alot of America hating though. -
Wow, everyone on this board is acting like everything here is terrible. This board uses 100X better grammar than ANY other board I've been on before. I mean, go spend like five minutes on BZP, Gamefaqs, or any of the chans and this place as it stands will look like grammar heaven. I mean, most people here atleast TRY to be grownup and not just get all silly/crazy with their typing. Off my little rant about the internet beign a pit of bad typing... Does all this apply to non english speakers? A non native english speaker is normally more obvious than some dumb kid you just types gibberish but it is just something to consider... Edit: Ha! Typos!

Ideas for Future Indiana Jones Sets
Kakihara Smile replied to Flatfoot Thompsen's topic in LEGO Licensed
I like the idea of the grail room being a smaller set better (probably because I wouldn't buy a bigger one ;). Like maybe you would get a small half room with a couple of grails, indie, his dad, elsa, and maybe a nazi. I love the scene they made in the videogame and I think something small but like it would be very nice. I would actually consider buying it andI don't own any of the indie sets. -
Anybody see the names for the new Makuta's masks? It is kinda obvious that Lego is just scraping the bottom of their "approved name list" with those hideous things :( I still think Pewku wins as the worst name though. I mean, how many other names have the sounds for "poo" in them ;)
-
Yeah, BZP does certainly have some lames rules... Anyway, it was pretty funny. I wonder if you could do it with a bunch of other famous people.
-
Wow, everyone here already has some pretty indepth plans for the Mistika :) To be honest though, lots of the changes proposed are things I like about the sets, like Onua's shield and Gali's mask (I LOVE HER MASK!). I think it is kinda funny how one person can like one aspect and another hates it. Beyond all that, lots of the changes seem like they are trying to make the sets more Nuva-like. The sets are so far from the Nuva though... It would probably more practical to scap the sets and build your own from scratch instead of modifying the sets. Just a thought ;)

Hi ya! My name is Josh. I'm a 21 year old psych student... Still living with my parents ;) I've been coming to this site forever but just had to join yesterday to post in this one random topic about buckets. Anyway, I've been building legos since as far back as I remember but have never been a big part of the community. I spend most of my time over on BZP but decided to come here so I can talk to people closer to my age, and maybe *hopefully* stop feeling like an internet stalker ;) I'm a bigger fan of the Bionicle and technic pieces than the actual sysetm sets, but I was totally smitten with Exo Force, and I am now in love with Agents :) I make most of my own stuff and have a brickshelf. I just updated it, so most of it won't be public yet but it should be fully running in a day or so. What I have posted is maybe a 100/th of my sets because it just take ssoooo long to take pictures that are atleast decent and then upload them. I'll be putitng more up as I get a chance too though. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery....golfruitydragon . I think that is about it... Oh, feel free to send me PMs if you have any questions or whatnot. Cool.

Don't buy an official one... Use a pretzel tub. Where I live, they sell pretzels in almost the exact same type of container (it is a bit shorter and fatter though). I ran out fo those containers (as awesome as they are) a while ago and now I suppliment with pretzel tubs. Edit: Fogot to mention this is my first post and I actually signed up to reply to this topic. Wow, I'm lame ;)
