True, that's good at least! Although I wish one of the bags was just the cat and dog together and then 5 other new ones haha

Fallout Boy is probably just so that they can reuse the Milhouse head mould. That means that with the 5 Simpsons family heads they can reuse 6 of the series 1 moulds for series 2. I get that they need to save money but I hate that we're losing 6 of the 16 spots that could be used for any one of the other hundreds of Simpsons characters. :(

If we do get a Kwik-E-Mart then hopefully we get Apu, Snake and Jasper in the freezer!

For anyone in Toronto... I had one set and wanted another, so I started looking around. Everywhere is sold out. Toys R Us, The Lego Store, etc. Last night I stumbled upon them at the Indigo Books at Bay & Bloor in the Manulife Centre. There were two boxes on the shelf with the Lego, a big bowl of them by the nearby cash, and then another huge bunch in another bin. I was able to get a whole set easily. Although Milhouse and Apu were the last one I found. Every second one seemed to be Marge or Bart though. Also, whatever you do don't buy them from Toys Toys Toys. They're a huge rip-off. Almost twice the price.

And if true then I hope the Kwik-E-Mart has Snake to rob it and Jasper in the freezer!

Got a complete set tonight! Went to the Lego Store at Fairview Mall in North York and it was picked clean. Felt what bags were left with about 5 other people and ended up buying 9 bags, 8 different ones and an accidental duplicate Bart. Then I went to Toys R Us at Yonge and Eg and they had about 5 boxes so I easily found the other 8. Well, actually I bought 8 of them and I guess I was tired because I somehow put down the Flanders and bought an extra Marge, so I ran back in, and grabbed a Flanders right before they closed. So I have the full set of 16 plus an extra Marge and Bart. Seriously if you're in Toronto and need them go to the Toys R Us at Yonge and Eg. A box at each cash, plus the ones hung up on the end cap of the first Lego aisle. Or if you need Marge or Itchy, the Lego Store at Fairview had about 5 of each and nothing else when I left it.

Has anyone found the minifigs in Toronto yet?
-
I read an article that said that the episode took 2 years to complete, which is twice as long as a regular episode, so it's fair to assume that they could have started it before the minifigures were finalized. The same article said that Lego approached the Simpsons with the idea of doing the couch gag in Lego-form, but The SImpsons came back wanting to do an entire episode.
-
Also, I hear people talk about buying a box of minifigs. Where/how do you do that? I've seen them online for older sets and of course the price is high because that set is no longer being made, but how do you get a box of a current set of minifigs? The Simpsons is the first one I'd consider buying a whole box of.

Just a guess, but maybe since the house is selling so well they've held back certain characters that could go with the next building set. i.e. Principal Skinner/Mrs Krabappel with the school, Otto with the bus, Moe with Moe's Tavern, etc. (And I know everyone says no to Moe and the Tavern because of alcohol, but Moe's has also been many things in the show, including a family restaurant called "Moe's Family Feedbag" so who knows? Maybe they'll make the Feedbag, but then you can mod it to be a regular tavern complete with the dank.)

Thank you everyone for help with the piano (non) issue, and especially to Marcos for taking the time to reply! I'm feeling very silly now since I have moved it away from the wall and it seems to be working perfectly. I guess I was just being stubborn and had it in my head that it MUST go there and that it just wasn't working, when all I had to do was move it forward. Thanks again Marcos! You have no idea how excited I am that Simpsons Lego is an actual thing I own. I hope this sells well and we'll be able to see more Simpsons related sets designed by you in the near future. Keep up the great work!

I agree with the walls where the garage and house connect are too weak. My two walls exploded when I tried to push them together and had be rebuilt. Very frustrating! Also, I don't know if it's just me but I find some of the "removable" furniture never actually stays in place. The piano will NOT stay no matter what I do. I've tried putting the floor tiles on it first and then putting the whole thing down on the base and it still pops off immediately. I don't know if it has something to do with the arch beside it pushing against it? I wish it had been a regular flat 2x2 plate for the floor rather than the one with one hole. (I guess I can always do that myself). Overall I'm very happy we got a full SImpsons house but I think it definitely would have been better if it was done modular style, rather than swing open dollhouse style. Especially for things like the table/chairs which barely fit into one side when the kitchen is pulled apart. Excited for the minifigs and hopefully more sets in the future!

Yes but specifically people were confused by Sherri and Terri's inclusion. They are sitting beside Lisa in the intro in the music room. The alleged sets pretty much make up the entire intro (with a few exceptions). What better way to introduce the Simpsons to lego than by making the sets from the intro? That's why these sets seem to make sense if they're true.

For Moe's they can do Moe's Family Feedbag from the episode where it became a family friendly restaurant!
-
If those leaks are true, then I have a theory as to why they chose those sets/characters. Could be they're taking them from the show's intro. Bart skateboards home from school, Lisa is in music class (with Sherri and Terri), Homer is at his console (sort of) before rushing home, Bart skates past some Springfield shops, and they all arrive home to the house. Makes sense, right? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4M5w8--YtUg

I found a mistake in the Lego replacement system.
ndawgg replied to nana's topic in General LEGO Discussion
This same thing is happening to me! At first I just thought I wasn't doing it right but then I realized it's the wrong part! Used the online replacement form and the piece arrived this week and it's the same wrong piece! So now i have two solid stud flowers and no open stud flowers and I still can't complete my Grand Emporium!
