  1. Eek sorry to hear. Hopefully, it will arrive eventually! Interestingly, when I called them today, they were able to track the packages (they got lost but are in transit.) I think they must be able to track it in their internal system even if they don't provide a tracking number.
  2. Anyone experiencing delays once their orders are sent in the mail (not while they're at the warehouse)? I have an order shipped out on the 1st that should have come in 7-10 business days but so far, nothing.
  3. Thanks. This is super useful!
  4. Thanks for the heads up. That is too bad about the figure pack. As several other people mentioned, was hoping for something more exciting. Oh well!
  5. Orange space helmet is back!
  6. Just got an order yesterday placed at the beginning of January 2021. I checked it, no missing parts, errors or omissions as far as I could tell there. But I've had a few cases where a part or two was missing. I heard they're so overwhelmed right now that I could see it happening.
  7. I understand that. The problem is that I'm probably not gonna go to a Lego store for the very foreseeable future because of the pandemic. But when its over, this is all good stuff to know and I appreciate it!
  8. That makes sense, too bad.
  9. In the past, I would have said that that probably wouldn't work, but then Gamestop happened.
  10. Agreed. Definitely still worth it if you want any of the figures or weapons! I'm curious how the other sets compare to this one as this was the most appealing to me because of the Serpentine. I might have to order them and see for myself. Thank you for pointing that out about the scythe! I didn't know that at all. Now I'll have to get that part. I agree, Rattla guy does seems like the kind of figure who will be slipped into sets later down the line (hopefully with a set with LLoyd (with his cool Ron Weasley hair) or Nya). And this is my second review for EB Reviewer's Academy so I still have lots to learn. I appreciate your encouragement!
  11. I love the mountain, but wish they had more cool figures like last time. These ones aren't bad, but they don't appeal to me the way the first wave's figures did.
  12. Did you know, snakes only eat 6-30 meals a year? Why am I bringing up snakes here? Because today I’m reviewing 71732 Epic Battle Set - Jay vs. Serpentine. I couldn’t wait to get this set because of the cool looking trans-neon green activated golden weapon parts and the new Serpentine (who could very well be Rattla making his first appearance in a Legacy set). Should you get this set? Read more to find out. Set InformationName: 71732 Epic Battle Set - Jay vs. SerpentineTheme: NinjagoYear: 2021Pieces: 69Minifigures: 1Price: £8.99 / $9.99 / 9.99€Resources: Brickset and Bricklink 1. The Box: The box features the new and exclusive Epic Battle Jay swinging his activated Golden nunchucks straight at poor Rattla lookalike's head (anyone notice that he's weirdly kind of smiling even though he's about to be smacked in the face?). The interesting thing about this box is that it’s actually much flatter than most of the other types of small Ninjago sets which likely saves cardboard, despite appearing to be bigger. The cardboard is laminated and of high quality but still easy to open. The back features a surprised looking Jay being attacked by the Serpentine warrior (wielding a blade made from one of the original nunchuck handles in reddish brown and a large white claw/fang piece) from behind the snake statue. It also shows some of the other collectable figures from the Ninjago Winter 2021 line and demonstrates how the spinner works (more on that later in the review). The bottom features the usual text explaining where Lego parts are born and a choking label that reminds us that although Lego may be shiny, we still shouldn’t eat it. 2. The Figures: The main reason I bought this set was to get this figure which I have compared to the original Rattla from 2012 (image curtesy of Bricklink because mine is lost somewhere in the abyss that is my room) . For those of you who don’t know, Rattla is a scout, and the first Hypnobrai tribe member to be released in the Legacy line. The original Rattla (right) appeared in five sets, mostly in 2012. The new, sand blue Legacy figure, in my opinion, is way better. I love his silver knee guards, and the curved lines on his torso that look hypnotic but also remind me of Darth Maul's tattoos (which I really like). Looking at the two figures, it’s very clear that Lego’s figure designing has improved since 2012. The new figure's torso is much cooler than his 2012 counterpart. In fact, the only thing I like more about the original figure is that it has printing on the cobra hood. New guy does not, which is a shame. The printing continues onto our friend's back. It seems a bit odd that Lego printed on the back of his head, which will normally be covered by the cobra hood piece, but didn't print on the back of the cobra hood piece itself. Still, the printing on the back of his head is a nice touch. I also appreciate how the strap across his chest on the front also continues onto his back, which adds to his coolness. This version of Jay in his Epic Battle suit is exclusive to this set. I have to admit, I wasn't a big fan of the Epic Battle suite until I saw it in the photos (for starters, adding the words "Epic Battle" before anything just makes it sound terrible) . Now that I have this figure, he's grown on me quite a bit. I particularly like the contrast between the blue and white on his uniform. The head is the same one we've received for a number of years. While an update would be nice, the piece works just fine here. Jay's printing continues onto the back and includes a cool insignia. According to my Ninjargon decoder (a fancy chart somewhere on the internet that contains the Ninjago alphabet), the letters on the back spell "vs." Absent anything from the show, my guess is that this is because the set is called "Jay vs. Serpentine." 3. The Weapons: In the Ninjago series, four golden weapons, (the Sword of Fire, the Nunchucks of Lightning, the Shurikens of Ice, and the Scythe of Quakes) were created by the First Spinjitzu Master (Garmadon and Sensei Wu's father.) These weapons contain enormous strength and are a very big plot device in parts of the Ninjago series. It is extremely exciting to get all of these weapons in one set, especially in their activated forms. This is the only set to contain them in trans-neon green (with each other Epic Battle set containing them in a different exclusive color to make your bank account all the lighter). The set comes with two of each activated weapon part. I am impressed with the amount of detail that went into these pieces. The shurikin, sword and nunchucks are all based off of actual Lego pieces in existence. This can best be seen by comparing the normal and activated nunchuck pieces. The activated shurikin and sword pieces have a similar level of detail, while the scythe seems to be completely new. Hopefully, we'll also see a non-activated scythe to accompany it at some point in the future. 4. The Main Build: The main focus of the build is on the figures, so as you would expect, the rest of the set is a bit less exciting. That being said, the statue is cleverly constructed, and looks pretty menacing. I like the use one of the horns that first appeared in black in 70795 Mask Maker vs. Skull Grinder as a tail. I also appreciate the pearl gold bars and fangs which are always fun to collect, even if they've become more common with the release of the Chinese New Year Sets. The statue does not have a play feature itself, though the side structure can be knocked down by a spinning either figure. This is the main play feature. The spinner works surprisingly well. When spinning Jay, the weight of the activated nunchucks makes him roll particularly smoothly. When snake dude is on the spinner, he certainly has enough force to knock down any Ninja or annoying younger siblings in his path. 5. Final Thoughts: So, should you pick this bad boy up? Here's my breakdown. Playability: 8/10 - The figures are the main draw of the set, and the statue and sidebuild themselves doesn't really do much. But the activated golden weapons, and spinner still provide a good amount of entertainment, and it is fun to battle the two figures against each other. Building Experience: 5/10 - Meh. The statue is solid, but the rest of the set doesn't have much to offer in the way of building. Design: 10/10 - The spinner works very well and I like how the statue looks. The golden weapons and figures are also extremely well designed. Minifigures: 9/10 - I love both of these figures. Rattla/ the Serpentine Warrior/Serpentine dude/ whatever else you want to call him is just as great as you'd expect (though the lack of printing on his cobra hood is annoying). Lego has really improved figure printing and Epic Battle Jay is surprisingly cool. Price: 5/10 - Frankly, this is where the set suffers. At 69 pieces for a set that costs £8.99 / $9.99 / 9.99€, that's roughly 13.0 pence, 14.5 cents, or 14.5 Euro cents per piece. Any way you slice it, that's significantly more than the golden standard here in the States of .10 cents a piece. Verdict: 8.5/10 - Most people buying this set want the two figures or the activated golden weapons. These things do not disappoint. The statue is also pretty cool as a display piece. The spinner works well, even if the set doesn't have many other play features. While the high price per piece count makes it hard for me to give this set full marks. I'd still pick this up, especially if you can nab it on sale.
  13. I've been getting mine relatively quickly, but I also agree with @Maple. It probably depends on your country. If you don't hear from them, you can always confirm or check your order status on their website.
  14. Yikes, that's really frustrating. I'll have to search there, then. If I find out any of the numbers for the new pieces, I'll be sure to post them here!
  15. The scalpers will probably have a field-day in five to seven weeks from now given all the new parts released and sold out.
  16. How do we find the numbers for BAM parts? Wanted to see if I could order some on B&P.
  17. Hoping the Blacksmith's torso will be available at some point. Given all the new parts made available I'm feeling cautiously optimistic.
  18. Thanks @MKJoshAfor the heads up. I second this. Was able to order these parts with backorder currently at March 3rd.
  19. My store reported that they haven't gotten new shipments of pieces in ages. They've been trying to sell the parts they have from pre-COVID (with employees prebuilding figures). I guess the bear might just be the figure that got away for me.
  20. Ahaha you and me both, dude!
  21. Golden Wu's head, and torso are available. Get'em while you can!
  22. Congrats on winning too! I absolutely agree. It was shocking for me to realize that this figure is worth significantly more than my Cantina (currently the most expensive set I own). Is it the only SDCC figure you own as well? Thank you!
  23. We LEGO fans are like Superheroes. During the day we are students, lawyers, engineers or journalists to name a few of many. But after work, we take off our professional attire, put on our spandex and capes (or more likely just a comfy pair of sweatpants) and do what we’re most passionate about, fighting crime... oops, I mean building LEGO! Because of this, I’m quite excited to review the 2020 LEGO DC FanDome Supergirl minifigure. Is it worth picking up for the current secondary market price of anywhere between $400 to $550 USD, or should you avoid this one like Kryptonite? Read my review to find out... Set InformationName: FANDOME2020: SupergirlTheme: Supergirl (Arrowverse TV Series)Year: 2020Pieces: 5Minifigures: 1Price: Currently $400-$550 USD on BricklinkResources: Brickset and Bricklink Supergirl has appeared four times as a Lego minifigure and two times as a Lego mini-doll since her debut in 2015. The 2020 DC Fandome Supergirl is based on the Supergirl TV series which started in 2015 and will finish in 2021. The TV series is part of the Arrowverse which is a shared universe for various DC TV shows that have been released since 2012. I could pretend to be more of an expert on the TV series, but I just read from Wikipedia. In all seriousness, this figure is extremely rare because only 1,496 copies have been released so far. They were originally intended to be given away at the San Diego Comic Con, but after that event was cancelled they were raffled off at the DC Virtual FanDome event in late August to people who live in the U.S. (more on that in the conclusion of the review. ). I was one of the lucky winners. The prize consists of the actual figure (five pieces), a plastic display case and a black card that thanks the recipient for entering the raffle. The backside of the card is blank. The back of the display cases shows that it was given away at the DC Virtual FanDome event. As far as I can tell, it does not seem that these figures are individually numbered. Unfortunately, mine came damaged, which is a real shame... The printing on Supergirl’s torso, legs and head is sleek, shiny and marvellous. I love her crisp cut “S” and the contrasting red and the blue colour scheme. Supergirl also has an awesome double-sided head, which I was not expecting. The silver glowing effect of her eyes on her alternate expression looks cool and the torso detailing continues onto the back side. The one thing that ruffles my feathers is that her legs are not dual moulded. From the back this does look rather strange when she doesn’t wear her soft cape. The hairpiece and the cape are the only non-exclusive parts of the figure. Supergirl’s hairpiece, which was originally used for young Hermione, has only appeared once before in bright light yellow on the Series 20 Pyjama Girl. The hairpiece seems relatively effective at depicting Melissa Benoist’s character, though it might be a smidge too light. But this figure was produced in low quantities, so I somewhat understand why Lego might have used the Pyjama Girl headpiece instead of creating a brand-new one. The cape is the soft spongy kind. All in all, Supergirl looks good, especially when displayed. Final Thoughts: Playability: 1/10 - This figure would be so fun to play with if it weren't for the fact that I'm absolutely terrified of scratching her. Unless you're secretly Bill Gates, happen to have an offshore bank account in the Canary Islands, or have some other way of affording to replace this figure after scuffing it, I wouldn't dream of playing with it. Building Experience: N/A - The figure is prebuilt so there isn't really any building here unless you take it apart and rebuild it yourself. Design: 9/10 - The design of this figure is wonderful. I really love all the attention to detail, soft spongy cape and double sided face. I don't give it full marks because the legs are not dual molded, though. The box is sturdy and displays her well. Aesthetic: 10/10 - The red and blue work really well together. This figure is sleek and the box that it comes in highlights her light colors. Minifigure: 9/10 - It's an exclusive Supergirl figure with fantastic printing even if the legs aren't dual molded. Just wish it were more available to the general public. Price: 1/10 - $400-$550 USD for a minifigure? Nah, I'd rather overcrowd my room with a Death Star. Verdict: 6/10 - Now that I have the figure, I'd never give it up, but this is more because it’s the first SDCC figure I’ve ever owned. As a diehard Lego minifigure collector, it carries a high (my wife would say “irrational”) amount of sentimental value to me. I do think if you’re a very big fan of the TV show, or a completionist and you have the cash (and that’s quite a big “if”!), it’s worth considering picking this up from a secondary seller. The figure did grow on me a lot from when I first saw the pictures online. That being said, while I sincerely hope this Supergirl will get released to the general public one day (which is almost as likely as Lego re-releasing Galidor sets!), I don’t think it’s the first SDCC figure I would personally buy as things stand now. Supergirl does feature great detailing and looks beautiful on display, but I’d be much more likely to purchase one of the exclusive Batmen, or Marvel characters. P.S. If my review looks familiar, I adapted it from a review I did on Brickset (that was me) but expanded it with more photos and text. Since receiving this Supergirl figure, she's become my lucky figure and I thought it would be fitting that my first review would be of her.
  24. If that's the case, sounds like it isn't worth it then. That makes sense. Thanks!
