265 AU?!!! that 's insane !! if i have the money for one figure of that price, why dont i pay 450 more to get a Death Star then?! With 265 AU, i can buy a awesome motorilzing AT-AT !!! the MF in that set is even a lot more better than the Chrome Vader...

updated : k-mart sales probably stop after 18/3, which is today. SW BP 8014 all gone in GC 's k-mart, toowong, sunnybank. (well, almost all the places i can go. but i m not sure about the one in Indooroopilly. Today i went to Toyworld arond Bris, and i found that all the 8936 were gone! Only few 8937 were left. BTW, does anyone knows how to get 10193? coz i dont want to do it from S@H. or even if I wait for monthes, it still wont comes out except buying from S@H? DAMN. DarthSion, i dont know 7665 is a great set ...before i make the purchase. i doubt it when i saw that thing in TRU, but i grab it after i had read several reviews on forums.

Best in 2008: 1 st: WOW, absolutely the 7676 RGS. no doubt, a dream for every SW fans who missed the previous one in the past ! even if someone who r not a starwar fans should considered this one. the design is even greater than the previous one. there just too many details and fun functions you can play with... Awesome minifigs, bla bla bla.. but i have to say the design of exit part (the back of the RGS) for the speeder is too lazy and improvement is needed! 2nd: Hard to choose, really hard. ATTE might be, design is very well planned, also it is customer friendly (the handle, although someone might be think that is crap), part is not going to fall off easily. figure is good. playability is good. but the armor of the ATTE need to improve by putting more plate to it to cover the holes. I can SEE the INTERIOR! 3 rd: Indy's tresure chase, i have to admit the truck is really awesome! but poor in playability. so i thought it might be come to the third place. Here we come! the WORST!!! 2008's worst set should be: 1 st: ABSOLUTELY the SPEED RACER's TRUCK! WT#%@...was that thing! are those guys (i dont mean TLG, i mean the boss of the truck, just by imagine...) stupid , drive a truck without any cover for the control center, poorly built, really poor and fragile. Look at the guns under beneath the truck, r u sure it is a gun things...looooks like they got some financial problem...armed their truck like that. Also that set is seriously rely on sticker! very heavy! and that make the worst licensed set in 2008. 2 nd: well , no doubt, should be the batman and Mr Freeze cart! poorly design and too pricy! i thought those who buy are those who want a new version batman and Mr Freeze in a relatively low price. Also that fire like bionicle piece makes me suffer! "WHAT I CAN DO WITH THAT BRICK!!! ". The reason why it is not the worst, because at least this set is not seriously rely on sticker, and this is just a small set. 3 rd: Very tough, very though, quite hard to choose. so i just left it blank.

ya, 7665, I grab one of those from my local TRU store, (those are swesome!!!! don't wait and get it, it is hard to say its still avaliable in the future) and I believe there is still 4 of them in the TRU in Garden city, QLD. the pirates impulses should be in the toyworld store which is 5.99 each (pretty pricy) hope it is useful.

i got 1 7765 (republic crusier) for 119 au 1 8017 ( darth vader tie fighter) for 39.9 au 1 7673 ( magna guard starfighter) for 38.2 au

i cant really tell it is a fantastic set. the building of the truck is weak, maybe i can say in another way, it looks incomplete. there is lot of space that need to be improve. the lego designer did finish the design very rush, and roughly. i vote average.

it 's hard enough to get a chrome vader..though.. btw, did anyone in australia can find one of those. i only search from ebay and find one is selling for 250au...crazy..

i thought people hang around in this forum should know some of the numbers ( even search shouldnt took so long if you dont know what they a, lol) yeah, 7679 is an exclusive for other country, that why people from my country (Hong kong, CN) said it is good to buy this in Australia! btw, 7679 is AWESOME! (except for the wheels at the bottom, it provide playability, but i just feeeeel weired!!!)maybe i will wait for the discount! did someone said k-mart's 15% off is coming up soon? ( i try to find those in target, but all....sold out, DAMN) i probably grab one 7679 and my second 8018( just fantastic set! best set in 2009 so far) and more 8014 for sure. did anyone find or can tell when pirate coming out. coz i only can find the impulses from Toysworld for 5.99 au each. which is a bit expensive, S@H 's only 4.99 (return my 1$ back). coz i thought this year's price should be lower than before.

i thought there is no need to discuss the price here since everyone might have different prices at their own place. like, australia's S@H hv 50% off for twilight, do i still need to argue about the prices form other places? but i have to say, if you really like that set, the price is not a real problem. 7676 is expensive( :P for sure), but i ididnt wait till discount period and use 160 AU to buy it. and i thought it's worth it. like somebody thought dooku sailor is freaking expensive, but there still someone would like to have one of those. get back to the topic. personal opinion, this set is the worst (sorry, but i have to say so) SW set i find from the Clone war series. no printed part!( heavy relies on sticker means i have to put extra care on those part with stickers, especailly after 2 or three years), i thought at least, TLC should try to place some printed part. that is fatal reason to explain why the sale of this set sucks! maybe an extra Clone war figure(at least not just "droid" ) inside this set might attract a lot more people considered about this set.

l i also got some similar kind of experience, ha. when i buy 8014 clone war BP, at that time i received a 50% off on second item. the guy at cashier said" oh, that one is the most popular one, isnt it?" and he start to say the coming up calamari and endor sets r awesome. and he share his "lego experience" ..lol.. nice talk. first time hv someone talk to me like this ..i thought he is a lego SW fans. usually when i buy lego from TRU, sometimes i just feel awkward when i pay those ladies in there. :cry_sad:

absolutly clone walker! for the powermine little set,i hv read several review and i thought the design of it is so weak, if i buy those i m sure i will break it down once i finish...(sorry but its true) also those pieces a quite hard to use for moc or mod as well. also i thought the price is above average. it just very depends on what you want, if you r a person who love to collect a little of every theme, then go grab it, coz it include a miner and a "rock" like monster. i also got one question should i buy a 7665 in 119au?

same as I thought....i hope the day will come some people may thought a BP with mayjor character...but i thought the TLC is not stupid and good at marketing... they probably put those minifigs into huge one.... the main purposes of BP is to let you buld your army...that mean we have to buy a lot!!!! a jedi BP.......that mean they make less money...haa :tongue: :tongue:

i would say get the AAT first!!! you will be impressed by the detail of the tank....new yoda and SBD. although the flick fire missille suckS! you wont be regret... actually i dont have the shuttle....and wanna ask someone who hv it, is that a good choice? no sticker (good), but i dont really like the bomb and the interior is quite small.... someone from another forum said 8019 is awesome for MOD? truth?

Actually i got both... but if you really like republic's fighter...you better get V-19....but if i were you....i will get the republic shuttle first.. the spider.....i think the price is a bit ..... only i can say fox is awesome....but others are not really special..(maybe someone like the B1 commander)

Does anyone know about the release date of Pirate line in Australia?i mean in local store, not through the S@H. coz i can find power miner at my local Target store (only target have, myer, big w and Dj dont have any of those), but no sign of Pirate... i m thinking of 8019 ..still struggling ...coz magnet set released. wait for sale..

wondering review, great and clear pcitures. although i m not a great fan of City, i still grab this little impulse after work glad to hear that the price in AU drop coz i still have half year to go to finish the degree in AU. 4.99 is a very great price...my country need 6.5 au...in general.. cant wait anymore to buy more pirate ones...
