If you read my response to Asuka, and the rest of the topic, you'll see that the end result will be about 3 and half meters long. So not 83. Whew. Thats still pretty MegaBlocks-ing big though. About the painting of the torso, I'm thinking of asking LuxorV if he could possibly make torso decals for Captain Cutter, Sgt Forge and Anders, possibly Serina, too. I've now finished sketching out the Hull, but because the drawing is to-scale with what the end result will be, its very hard to photograph, so I'm going to do my best to scale the drawing down a little onto a sheet of A4 paper, then I can photograph it As for the Midi-Scale attempt at the Spirit Of Fire, I'm working on that, having a look around at my designs and trying to see if its possible to scale it down I don't really think I'd want to do something like Pillar Of Autumn or Forward Unto Dawn cruisers, as to be honest the shape of those ships that we see in cutscenes and such isn't actually very nice. Spirit Of Fire however has, IMHO, a very nice shape to it, and is much, much cooler ~A.S.

Ditalini - General Discussion
AwesomeStar replied to NewRight's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Eh, I can wait, I suppose. To be honest I could do with some MOCing time, rather than trying to figure out theories and stuff. No issues here, NewRight I guess this means I can write another chapter for my EBRP plot ~A.S. -
Laurel and Hardy Decals
AwesomeStar replied to Hound Knight's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
While I'm only 15, I used to watch Laurel and Hardy on Saturday mornings, as they were often shown, I can't remember which channel, and I've always been a fan. There's something fascinating about the way they did it, more fascinating than the things like CGI we see today... Anyway, I really, really like these decals and find them hilarious. Good work, Mr. Hound Knight! ~A.S. -
You Are 32% Evil I oddest thing is, I actually feel ashamed. I actually am quite evil, and I probably picked all the terrifying answers, like hurting an enemy more than helping a friend... Ah, well. *Goes back to singing insanely to no-one* ~A.S.

Thats what I thought too, but the torso was a slight different from that image. I'll stick with the red, but I might buy something of MMCB for her? And that image of her is great - isn't CGI amazing? She's going on my wall WARNING: Major Weird-O Alert: A.S. is in love with an image!!! ~A.S.

Thanks for the ideas for Anders! The head is fine, I guess, and the hair, while a little long, will make do, I suppose. She'll be in the Observation Deck anyway, so you won't notice The torso however is quite a bit off, in a couple of cutscenes she is seen wearing a reddish tank top, so I'll stick with that. I might use the Indiana Jones legs for her, though. Thanks for the help! ~A.S.

military/sci fi/special ops/whatever decals
AwesomeStar replied to exxtrooper's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
If you have a look around this forum, there's loads of tutorials on making decals and other things to customize your minifigs. The program most customizers use is, I believe, MS Paint, but it differs on personal preference. ~A.S. -
Thanks General *salutes*, and yes, this thing is gonna be so massive, I'd get banned if I express it! Jifel, I know how you feel, I smacked myself in the head quite a few times. ~A.S. P.S. - Halo Wars info: absolutely trashed the Covenant on Skirmish mode, built ten bases and had over 155 population!

I'm lovin' it! All McDonalds-endorsing aside, I for one really enjoyed looking at this MOC, and that ladder is just... wow! Great technique! Mind if I steal it??
-
That sounds interesting. Seeing as this project is going to take a LONG time, and I'll only really be using bley, I'll ahve lots of pieces left over. Also, I think my drawing hand needs a rest and a MOC needs building. In light of the new Midi-Scale Millenium Falcon I'm considering building a midi-scale Spirit Of Fire just so I can get an idea of appearances/angles etc. Thanks keetong! ~A.S.

I agree with the General. I'm almost at retirement age and I'm having a slumber party with people who may want to kill me Just shows how odd life is, I suppose. I agree with The Voice. Cue list of theories.

military/sci fi/special ops/whatever decals

Wow. These are really nice. Mind if I use a couple? ~A.S. -
Happy B'day Iz, I hope its a special one! Say hi to Toodles for me! Happy B'day!!! ~A.S.

Yes, that hole could be rather relevant, don't you know? The briefcase motive seems very real... if only we knew what was in the briefcase. You say you want to keep the hand grenade. However, it could be useful in opening the darn briefcase? Yeah.. but shh!

That is harsh! ... Anyway, I think we've reached the stage where we need to gather all our theories, eliminate the irrelevant ones,a nd come to some sort of conclusion on why he died. We know how, but not why. So, thoughts? And Holli, we're out of coffee, so maybe you could run down to the store? *Nibbles a crumpet*
-
Nice leg techniques Haven't seen the movie but it look pretty funny ~A.S.
-
Holli, that is a new and most interesting question... Perhaps you should go and check it out? He could have been low on gas, stopped, and then the killer(s) could have been tracking him, so when he stopped, they shot him. However, this doesn't match up to the crash evidence. Perhaps he was going very fast, ran out of gas, and crashed. Sometime during that he was shot.

(Righto, duly noted) Well, Zachary, I don't see how you could explain the bipod markings? If you would tell us all, that would be great, as I'm sure we'd all like to here your rejection of our theories And Raphael, while I may have been accusing you and Zachary, you both also accused me, with no evidence, basing your accusations on the fact that I had too many theories. Well, let me tell you this, one never has enough theories until you have the right one. You, like I said, have rejected my theories for more favorable ones. However, like you said, evidence lacks, and I'm still considering my vote. Have a crumpet to calm yourself, sir. *Nibbles on a biscuit* Like Tyler, I too would like to examine all of the bridge (and underneath it) and search for any spent cartridges, blood, footprints and other important markings/information. Oh, and I'd like to read the mail as well, please.

While the birds are cool, I love that birdhouse! I've always wanted to ask, but how do you do that roofing technique? It must be very clever! Cool birds - Cooler birdhouse! ~A.S.
-
Simply brilliant! Nice way to end the evening! ~A.S.

I'm going to revert back to my sniper-theory. The bipod evidence has brought sufficient light to the prospect of sniping tactics being used/involved. Where, approximately, was the bi-pod dust found? Tyler, perhaps sir, you can be of help? Personally, I'm thinking of voting between Raphael and Zachary, as both seem to be rejected various theories in favor of ones that would ultimately end up with less jail time. *Nibbles a bagel*
-
The false accusations you speak of are theories of mine, Raphael, and as you can see, I apologised thoroughly to the General, so I think that your accusation is a false one also... The new evidence such as the metal traces in the dirt that Tyler found, possibly from a bipod you said?, brings my sniping theory back into the frame. Could you possibly tell me how far one could fire a (.44) bullet from a sniper rifle?
-
Well General, it appears my sniping theory is out. I apologise for the accusations. Dakota dear, pass me a crumpet. Thank you. I'd liken to know how far a .44 calibre bullet can travel (Edit reason: spelt far as fire )
-
General, glad we came to a conclusion. Have a bun, they're home made Dakota dear, apologies for the tension, and why yes, I am rather hunky for my age! I guess I'll just sit here and wait for updates from He Who Answers All.
