Help needed: decent Halo Marine helmet?
AwesomeStar posted a topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Hey all. Recently I have been making some Halo 3 MOCs, just part of a new series and a game I'd love to see, that I call Halo: Marines. Having ordered BA Halo weapons, and am waiting to receive my decals from Justin Stebbins, I stumbled across a little problem: helmets. In my possession I currently have 2 sand-green kepi's, which I have used for Sgt. Johnson and G-Sgt. Pete Stacker, yet for the other 3 Marines I need a solution, relatively easy at that, for their iconic helmets. Help? ~A.S. -
New BrickArms Sci-Fi Prototypes!
AwesomeStar replied to the enigma that is badger's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
(I know this is a 1-year-old topic, but I believe I have something to add: is that okay?) Having just recieved my BA order today, all of which composing of Halo weapons (4 Assault Rifles, 4 Magnum Pistols and a free [cancelled??] M7/SMG), I must praise the quality and extreme realism these weapons bring to the table. Having made a few Halo MOCs in the past, and with all of the weapons being brick-built versions of Justin Stebbins' design, I was very excited to find out I could have smooth-looking BA renditions of my favourite weapons As for the weapons I see here, and to find out that actually one or two of them will be produced on a mass-scale, I was elated to see these! Finally, I can now build a decent Covenant army, to combat the Marines, and the weapons don't look like rough, brick-built renditions as of Stebbins' design (not to criticise him - he did an amazing job!). Are there any extra pictures of these, perhaps showcasing different angles of the weapons? Keep up the great work guys ~A.S. P.S. Is anyone able to show me what the BA Halo weapons look like along side Justin Stebbins' marine decals? Thanks -

Halo 3 and Halo Wars I'm getting ODST very soon, and I must say I cannot WAIT! It's going to be amazing - it IS amazing, from what I've heard! ~A.S. -

Count me in! This seems like a really good game with a really good story, and I'd love to take part ~A.S. -
Okay, we'll keep it all in here then Requiem for A Dream was the original song I was using - mainly "Summer Overture", but then I found a cooler version that was supposedly used for LOTR: The Two Towers trailer, called "Requiem for A Tower", performed by a string-quartet by the name of Escala. It's really good, and should add a degree of tension to the film. Also, as I said before, I might use songs from the Halo 3 soundtrack, such as "This Is The Hour". If you could find those few people myself and my brother would very much appreciate it, and of course, anyone else who wishes to participate - just send me a PM and one or two reasons why you'd like to take part and I'll get back to you . ~A.S.

I'm currently not sure on the date, but expect it to be sometime before Christmas - maybe even next month. I just need to finish writing the small (but sweet) script and prepare everything for film. By the way, the way we are going to do this is perform scripted scenes on the game, then review them and make them into film clips on Theater, and then I'll mix them all together, add in music and recorded dialog, and then finish it off Also, I'm not sure what to use for the music. I'm deliberating between Requiem for a Tower by Escala or This is the Hour by the Halo 3 soundtrack people Any thoughts? And perhaps we should make a separate topic for this - I'd hate to clutter Mraz's topic with all this ~A.S.

Halo 2 is forwards compatible with the Xbox 360, so if you buy Halo 2 you can play it on the 360 And Halo: Combat Evolved is available on the Xbox Live marketplace for 1200 MS-points. Halo Wars is a really good game, the graphics in the cut-scenes are incredible and the whole game itself is amazing! ~A.S.

Well, I had a look at the MB Halo sets in my local TRU today and I must say, while the quality is bound to be poor, and the figures look stupid, I was somewhat impressed by them. Oh sure, I didn't for one second consider buying them, but if someone gave one to me as a free gift I wouldn't complain. The Scorpion Tank actually looks like the real thing, which is a real achievement for a company such as MB. Also, my brother and I have recently completed a D-Day style map and Territory game type set in the year 2552. We are currently making a film using this map of the Spartans taking the beach back from a group of Elites, and we need two teams of eight, or a 16-player party. The players need to be patient, be willing to follow a set script and perform actions in scenes. If you're interested in this please PM me with your gamertag and one or two reasons why you'd like to be in the project ~A.S

Finally! I'm actually now on the verge of having my entire brain dominated by Halo knowledge and desires At the moment I am making a small/medium/large (haven't decided yet) MOC starring the Marines and Johnson, using Saber-Scorpion's character designs and decals and BrickArms' weapons. I'll be posting this hopefully towards the end of October/start of November In all honesty I fear I cannot post much in this topic due to it most likely becoming one heck of a Halo nerd-fest which no-one besides us merry few will understand ~A.S.

I have to agree here, MOTEE has become just legendary on EuroBricks - it's by far the best game out of all the games we've had on here (and I've read them all ), but hey, thats just my opinion. I've had great fun playing this, Alex, and like I said in Draggy's MC thread to Big Cam, I started out as a reserve, and now look at me! I'm a kick-megablocks trucker lady who went 12 for 12 with the best of the best! -

Yes you did, you're on the reserves with me I mean, I was a reserve for MOTEE and now look, I'm practically a main character! -

Yeah, you're kinda missin' something there. Y'know, the little, tiny fact that she could have LIED? *Shakes head in disgust at Herman's saaaaad intelligence levels* Guys, how about we all try hanging off the engine and trying to stop it by braking it with our shoes? If it doesn't work, it sure would be dramatic! -
Wahey, I'm reserved! Thanks, Zepher
