  1. I have finished my Vignette, actually I'm not sure if it's a bignette instead. I PMed CloneCommando007 for the okay to say it's a vignette, but I'm still awaiting answer. Basically, it's a scene with a jedi and clone sommander walking through a sewerish passage, while droids work on controlling a comm unit above them.
  2. Welcome Nick, another Australian! Not many lego conventions over here Down Under, hey? But seriously, considering the amont of AFOL anf TFOL Ozzies on this forum, we should organise a meet for us - in Australia of course!
  3. First of all, welcome to Eurobricks, hope you enjoy your stay. Sorry man, but your first link doesn't lead anywhere.
  4. And almost as if to contrast against your views, i prefer the Tagi tribe, because I prefer funny and more cartoony societies,
  5. Yes, there are back decals present. I have a few really blurry pictures (and these are REALLY REALLY BLURRY) of the backs, I'll take more in a few days, until then bear with these ones. BLURRINESS present. You have been warned... Commander: Trooper: Heavy: Pilot:
  6. Awhile ago, I posted these on SSLF and dued to the enthusiatic and positive responses, I decided to post them here as well. So these are the four types of clones: from left to right- normal trooper, pilot, heavy trooper behind, and commander in front. The decals have been 'borrowed' from Kaminoan, CrazyBoy, El Mariachi and several other customisers. The helmets, however, have been handpainted and sealed. In person, some of the helmets are rather dirty, and smudges of paint are visible. A comparison requested by a member of SSLF between the normal and heavy troopers: And finally, a comparsion between normal ,heavy and commander minifigures: I know that some of the pictures are blurry, specifically the last two, my apologies for that. C and C welcomed!
  7. I AM interested in these, especially the last one. With all the tanks going on the wall, it would probably be prettty hard to emulate that particular scene. I, too, agree that your ideas would not be copied; with all the variety of scenes, it would be close to impossible for someone to pick the same scene and build it in the same way as you. In any case, if someone does copy your work, we would have the proof right here, in this topic. As Oky Wan would say: CW Cartoons ON!
  8. Welcome to Eurobricks, G.L. MAN. Glad that you're aexcited about the new Castle sets, but go easy on the exclamation marks... Anyway; the new Lego castle pages. The stories are okay, yes, they show some insight, but it looks like a kid wrote the stories...which was probably intended. I wouldn't mind elves being mentioned in the articles but...
  9. Probably trying to increase post count. And yes, you should get the troopers before getting vehicles. I'm guessing ten to fifteen troopers to look 'good', although, as kimt said, 6000 soldiers make a division.
  10. The Clone factory? He sells clones on Ebay, but this is his site: http://www.members.shaw.ca/clonefactory/custom.htm
  11. About Commander Fox...I always that he had orange markings as opposed to red. Yes, I know that this is the beginning of the Clone Wars and that clones aren't meant to have coloured armour yet, but Cody has orange armour, so why can't Fox have it as well? I have my doubts that it's Commander Fox.
  12. So if I have a bit of wall greebling it would be alright? Also, if I'm using those hinge pieces for, say, a blaster cannon or a satelitte dish thing, and it 'dips' over the side, that's alright as wel?
  13. Yeah, but SNOT and greebling won't measure exact to one stud. I'll post an example picture later to show what I mean.
  14. Maybe you should read this first... I got another question: is the overhang maximum exact to one stud or can be it be approximately one stud? For example, SNOT detail and greebling can't really measure to EXACTLY one stud.
  15. First of all, it's called a vignette, not a vintage. Number two: it's a contest! Like the elflands contest. So, you're MEANT to post your final vignette or bignette.
  16. dragonator, your description of a bignette is a lot more informative than mine. As for the Episode 2 Clones, I'm sure that clonecommando007 would say something along the lines of 'it's your choice. Do whatever you think looks good.' But, all assumptions aside, I would think that the Episode 3 Clones are the most ideal for the vignettes. It would actually depend on the timeframe you're depicting. I mean, yeah; there were a few clones that kept their Episode 2 phase 1 armour, but the majority would utilise the Episode 3 armour. So it's probably alright to combine both clone styles.
  17. I believe we covered that already...
  18. A vignette is small representation of something, so I guess a bignette is just a bigger version of a vignette.
  19. Another quick question! When the rules say maximum material overhang is one stud, does that include minfig weapons, arms and legs? Because as we all know, some minifig weapons are huge unwieldly things, and if it's at an angle, there's no definite way to calculate the overhang, right?
  20. I'm new to the forums, and this might or might not be obvious, but here's a question concerning the prizes. When you say that the winners get the amount of cash-worth of items, is the shipping fee included in it, or is it cimpletely free?
