  1. Glad to see 5 Minotaurs and Highlanders in a box, and 4 Aliens. Those will be the main army builders for me. I don't mind that there's only 3 Romans, I'll probably only get a few anyway. I hope these come to the U.S. soon!
  2. I have to say, I'm not liking how the Roman looks. I think he should at least have a cape (not hard to do on your own, but still...). Anyway, I don't mind too much because I didn't really like him a whole lot to begin with. I like it when everyone else's army builder fig isn't the same as mine. :D
  3. My favorite of this series is definitely the Minotaur. It will be the army builder figure of this series (for me at least). My second favorite would have to be the Alien, which I'll also be getting several of. For me, this series is right on par with Series 4. Completely unique figures that all look fantastic. There isn't a single bad figure in this series. Actually, from Series 4 forward there hasn't really been any bad figures (except maybe the Series 5 Aerobics Instructor). For now I picked Series 4 as my favorite, but that may change once I actually get the Series 6 figures. As for my reason for collecting them, there should have been a choice "all of the above." But when I first started collecting them, I was mostly interested in the new, unique figures (Zombie! Clown! Caveman!), so I voted for choice number 1. Since then I've become more interested in the parts, how to integrate them into other themes, etc., but I still look for one or two unique army builders in each series that are cool to keep the way they are (although they usually have great parts too that can have other uses). My main army builders for each series have been (in order) Zombie, Spartan, Elf, Musketeer, Evil Dwarf, and now Minotaur.
  4. After reading the description of the "Sleepyhead," and wondering once again why it has adult legs, I think I figured it out. Sleepyhead may be LEGO's version of the Sandman. It's the only way I can think of that the long legs make sense. Anyway, the whole series is really fantastic, especially the Minotaur and Alien. Can't wait for them to come out, although I still have to get some extras of Series 4 and 5.
  5. Medieval Market Village did come out during the theme. It was released in January 2009, and the final wave of Castle sets was released in summer 2009.
  6. Wow. I'm a big castle fan, and this set is simply amazing. It stinks that you have to get two of them to duplicate the first picture, but even a single one of these is still fantastic. As someone else said, it would make a great entrance to the Lion Knight kingdom. Also, the Falcon Knight seems to suggest that Kingdoms will continue with a new faction. Overall, a fantastic set, and I can't wait to get one!
  7. It seems like the first three series were kind of tests to see which figures would work and which ones wouldn't, because since series 4 pretty much every single figure has been amazing! Here's my thoughts on the whole group... My two favorites and the ones I will try to amass the most of are the alien and the minotaur. I like the highlander, and will probably get several of him too (especially for the new sword). The butcher, leprachaun, skateboarder girl, and the genie are among my favorites as well. The mechanic, statue of liberty, and spacewoman also look good, but probably will only get one of each (maybe two mechanics) to complete the series. As for the final six figures... The Roman is somewhat disappointing for me for some reason... I'll probably only get a couple of them. I think the Series 2 Spartan was way cooler. Not that I don't like the Roman, I just think he's not as cool as he could have been. Maybe official pictures will change my mind. The surgeon is awesome, and the toy robot is cool. The bandit seems kind of boring, the flamenco dancer likewise. I wonder what the person with the bear is supposed to be. It's obviously someone in pajamas, but it's an adult because of the legs... And it's also hard to tell if it's supposed to be a male or a female. I wonder what LEGO is going to call it... All in all, a fantastic series!
  8. Well, they didn't in the fantasy era sets, but they did give us the Collectible Minifigures elf. As far as the possibility of the LOTR theme, while I would love it, I agree that it probably won't happen. I'll wait for leaked pics or set numbers before I actually get my hopes up.

  10. 1 point to each of the following: 29) Mummy Entry (Build by Jippon) 32) Samurai Warrior Entry (Build by Dannylonglegs) 36) Elf Entry (Build by Oky Wan Kenobi) ~Phyre
  11. Haunted House Minfigs Series 1: Zombie Series 2: Vampire Series 3 (imaginary): Mummy Theme: Halloween/Seasonal/Town Story: It's Halloween night and all the undead creatures are leaving the Haunted House to terrorize the town and feast on the villagers. The townspeople had placed chains accross the front porch in the hopes of keeping the monsters in, but unfortunately their plan didn't work. Excuse the canister in the background. Also, the mummy is meant to fit in behind the chains on the front porch. This was supposed to be my main entry pic, but I didn't like the way the lighting turned out on it. In this picture you can see a demon and an evil clown peering out of the windows. The spider is crawling out of the basement. The roof overhangs by no more than one stud on the sides and back of the entry. The spider also overhangs very slightly. The brickshelf gallery (when public) for more pictures, including one with the mummy: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=465070 ~Phyre
  12. Minifig: Elf Theme: Castle The elves don't like to cut down trees, so instead they build their towers around the trees. The figure pictured is a Hawk Elf, standing guard at the base of the tower. He awaits the return of the Wood Elf (series 3) who usually keeps a lookout from the top of the tower. Views from the other sides: The tree limbs and Hawk Elf's weapons overhang slightly, but are within the two-stud limit. Brickshelf gallery (when public): http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=465071 (includes one additional picture which includes the Series 3 "Wood Elf" as I like to call him) ~Phyre
  13. I've finished my entries for both categories, but I have a couple questions. In Category B, is there any limit on the amount of non-collectible minifigure minfigs you can use? For example, in addition to my series 1 and series 2 figures, I have 6 other figures. I just wanted to make sure this was acceptable before I entered. In Category A, it says I can't have a placeholder minifig. My entry is for the elf, and I had created an elf minifigure over a year ago. I put him in the entry, not as a placeholder, but just to have some minifigure there. Both he and the actual collectible minifigure elf could hang out on the entry together, but since he's also an elf, is this allowed? If not, would it be acceptable to include a forestman instead? Thanks, ~Phyre
  14. I picked the zombie. Man, I really hope these are available in the US. But about the so-called "wrestler," I originally thought he was a superhero (which would actually fit in the alphabetical order between "spaceman" and "zombie"). I guess he is a wrestler, but he could be used (or some of his parts could at least, particularly his head) as a superhero. ~Phyre
  15. I think it's a great idea. I've been a BIONICLE fan since 2002, and just this year decided to stop collecting sets. However, I still follow the story and if they release a set like this, I will almost certainly buy it anyway, just as an awesome collectors item. I hope LEGO listens to us and puts this set out. It would be fantastic. ~Phyre
  16. Man, Castle is rumored to end in 2010 and now Pirates is definitely ending next year. I'm definitely signing this! Please bring Pirates back soon! And hopefully Castle is really done yet. ~Nicholas
  17. The Castle Advent Calendar was awesome and I'm glad they made it available for a short time in the U.S. last year. Is it too much to ask for them to do the same with the Pirate one? Come on LEGO, we want the Pirates Advent Calendar! ~Phyre
