I hope the super-secret Marvel set is a 6' long SHIELD Helicarrier that I have to save up for three months to buy. And I hope it will take me and my son four months to put it together. And I hope it comes with Nick Fury, Spidey, Nova, Power Man, White Tiger, Iron Fist, Dr. Strange, Capt. America, Wolverine, Hulk, Spiderham, Beetle, Dr. Doom, Trapster, Klaw, Wizard, Nightmare, Dr. Connors, Phil Coulson, Maria Hill and 35 other agents. And I hope it comes with a couple Quinjets, a huge training area with mechs, traps and fun stuff. And I hope we have to add on to the house just to display it all. And I hope that my wife will think it is awesome and want to help. So there you go...

Is there enough contention between the two licenses to regulate equal number of sets? I am a Marvel fan, mainly because that is what I could get where I grew up. I don't care if there is parity, each sets just needs to be good.

That is my hope. A fourth Ultimate Spidey set with Green Goblin, Spidey, Power Man & White Tiger. I know that is not realistic, but that is what I am hoping.

Below is a list of powers that each of The Mandarin's rings have. I copied from http://en.wikipedia....ndarin_(comics) because I am lazy and can't remember everything from the comics. This is only a reference into how much power The Mandarin's rings are supposed to wield. I know that a screenplay can't get into this much detail on 'ring power' but it would be great it the movie dug into it. 1) Little finger, Left Hand - Ice Blast The ring emits waves of cold which can be used to stun an opponent. The ring usually causes the air in the path of its blast to turn to ice, and can lower an object's temperature to nearly absolute zero. 2) Ring Finger, Left Hand - Mento-Intensifier The ring magnifies the wearer's own psionic energy, allowing him to place one or more people under his mental control and to transmit orders to them mentally. Most frequently used to create illusions. 3) Middle Finger, Left Hand - Electro-Blast The ring emits electricity in amounts at intensities mentally determined by the wearer. The maximum current attainable is not known. 4) Index Finger, Left Hand - Flame Blast The ring emits infrared radiation, or heat, at intensities mentally determined by the wearer. Usually the heat produces flame through incandescing the molecules in the air in the path of the blast. The heat beam can be used to trigger chemical explosions. The maximum amount of heat it can generate is not known. 5) Thumb, Left Hand - White Light This ring can emit various forms of energy along the electromagnetic spectrum. All that said, The Mandarin's rings are a significant source of his power and it would be ideal if there was some way TLG could reflect that in a Mandarin minifig. I am still holding hope that it would look like a modified part#: 33170 Currycomb/Comb: basically a handle with shapes as the rings. Not looking for an argument, just stating my thoughts... And for the record, yes, I am THAT nerdy, but I did not write the Wiki article.

I am a bit curious how TLG will work the rings. The rings are significant to The Mandarin's character, yet there are 10, so they would have to be very small. I am thinking The Mandarin's 'rings' will be similar to a mini-fig printed 'brass knuckle', with one for each hand.

Now, this could be very cool!

Yep If we do get the Spideybike It would be most awesome if it could clip onto the current Spidey web-rope or a flex rod.

Thank you. Everyone, the new Spidey cartoon continues to get a bad wrap on here, but it is pretty good. It has gotten my kids into Spidey and his friends. And my 5 yo now pretends that she is a superhero in training - she even reports to Nick Fury. +3 Also, there MUST be a Coulson. And maybe there could be a Friends tie-in with Mary Jane and Ava (White Tiger)

I know everyone pans Ultimate Spider-man, but my kids (7 & 5) LOVE it! While it is different it has depth and shows Spidey growing into a real team leader. I can't wait for the new sets. I may have to get two Furys.
