You are a very talented painter. My favorite is Queen Victoria - I think it's the expression on her face. Lenin is excellent, as well. I'm in love with his beard - so perfect. I have to note that Sculpty bosoms and belly on your Roman pieces were cracking me up - good work!! Kudos on the traveling outfit for Holmes and I also think his long coat works very well. I dare say that I may have actually enjoyed learning history, if I had these figures to "play" with.

The Walking Dead I'm a huge fan of both The Walking Dead comic and TV series, so I couldn't resist making some custom minifigures of the characters. I thought I would share some of the ones that I have completed so far. Glenn is my favorite, so I started with him. I had fun showing Rick's physical transformation over the seasons (I still need to get him a gun belt), but had the most fun creating Daryl with his season 3 poncho.

So much detail! (I like the comb sticking out of the back of the hero's pants. ) They look really good. That villain looks like a total slime-bucket; I imagine I would think of evil things to befall him, if he were mine. Heh.

I collect The Walking Dead TPB, but also buy them digitally, so I can keep current. I keep meaning to order the first volume of Thief of Thieves, but I keep forgetting.

I really didn't want to ask anybody to reinvent the wheel, but I'm not having any luck getting in touch with Tlor Fett, and I was redirected to this thread... Anyway, if anybody has the time and interest, I would like a torso decal that is similar to the one Tlor Fett posted of Carl Grimes in his red hoodie sweatshirt and white Science Dog T-shirt. I would like a back decal, as well, showing a simple hood. The entire logo doesn't have to show, and the sweatshirt can be more rumpled than the example, but I'll leave that up to you. I would also like a season 3 Carl with the same shirt (but very dirty - tan would be good) and a dark brown pocket vest over it, instead of the hoodie. I think the Indiana Jones Satipo torso could be used as sort of a pattern for the vest. I'm going to put blue arms on it, to represent the blue long sleeved shirt under the vest. If you could add a little of the blue shirt, that would be great, if it's not too much trouble. Here is a pic of the character, in the second outfit, for reference. The minifigure will be flesh colored, so if any skin is showing, please use flesh tones, rather than yellow. Many thanks in advance to anyone willing to take this on for me. I will be sure to share pictures of the completed minifigure when I am finished.

Best of luck with your project, Rufus! Classic Space was one of my favorites of the LEGO sets that I owned. I believe I had the 6970 Beta-1 Command Base - I just loved the crater base plate! I'm sure my mom still has what's left of it, but seeing that her attic is like something out of the Hoarders TV show, I'm not sure I will see it any time soon. Keep us updated!

I know, and I want that zombie car!! We went back today and spent about 40 dollars (mostly my girls' own money). If we had bought all what we purchased today yesterday, then I would have that car!!

My girls and I were at the LEGO store yesterday drooling over it. I'm trying to hold off a bit before purchasing it, but I don't know how long I'll last.

Has anyone had issues with the light-beam that is supposed to fit in the light brick from 9466 The Crazy Scientist & His Monster set? I bought this set today, and can't for the life of me get the beam to fit into the brick. This is one of the coolest aspects of the set. (I would include a pic, but I don't think I'm allowed to post images yet.)

I'm very impressed, especially now that I see the whole view! The landscaping is great, and the church adds a great touch. I love the MF series.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm going to run to my local TRU to see if they have it. I'm working on my zombie horde. I'm I the only one that thinks it's odd to have a zombie as a driver? I wonder if his driving skills suffered with his death/reanimation? edit: They didn't have any in stock, but said that a new shipment is coming in on Sat. *sigh*

I did not look to see how old the thread was when I commented. I did a specific search to find information on The Walking Dead customs, and contacted the OP to see if he shares/sells his custom decal templates, since I could not find any when I browsed your index or when I used the Advanced Search function. I don't see what the problem is bumping "old topics" if there is interest in them - it could generate new discussion. I'm a new member, so everything is new to me.
