  1. Well, they actually don't get any smaller after the folder is moderated By the way, you can use deeplinked thumbnails as well.
  2. BBB, yes (painted with a white marker).
  3. Thanks :) The passenger cars work fine in normal curves, but I do experience problems in short S-curves and switches (the tender in its current state also has problems, so I'll consider just avoiding such curves). It is correct that the motors are underneath passenger cars (2 of them), not the engine. As for the theatre, I think the total number of pieces lies around 35000-40000.
  4. I would kindly ask you all to STOP misquoting me (like you and Klaus-Dieter did) and to learn yourself reading everything that is said, not only the things you like. What I said (twice!) means the exact opposite of what you present in your post(s).
  5. What proof? :) I think you should reread what I said, especially the part I quoted. Just to make it clear (again), my source has never heard of that and thinks the information is not true. Of course, it wouldn't be the first time that departments within LEGO fail to communicate, so everything is possible.
  6. Thanks guys :) I've now put more pics into the gallery (including the first 2 cars and working lights... the choo-chooing will have to wait until I get a decent camera and another sunny day ). P.S. To Lt. Col. Thok - not my first train ever, only first steam The other ones can be found here.
  7. According to my source (official, for real), that seems to be the case.
  8. Here is my first attept at making a steam engine, the more-or-less famous Blue Train (cars still to come): More info & pics of the original engine and the model can be found at MOCpages Cheers :)
  9. Ok, back from Skærbæk! Still alive! Not everyone made it, though. Pics here.
  10. Coming! My GBC-module(s) are still not fine tuned, though... so we'll see whether there will be any point in taking them.
  11. Do countries that don't have S@H at all count? In that case, I'd like to put Norway on the list.
  12. Love it, love all the details, pipes, front, ladder, etc. In the end it turned out quite nice, especially the rod & piston!
  13. I must say I didn't see this as a mainly buy/sell/trade topic, but more a topic on local things in general... my previous post has now suddenly become very much off-topic, something I really dislike .
  14. Back from "holidays" and back on-topic :) Here's a recent article from the Croatian newspaper Glas Istre (Cpt. Pegleg, good luck with the translation )
  15. Thanks :) Quarryman already answered to most of the questions (while I was writing it myself, how rude! ). As for tubas, there are both tubas and euphoniums in the orchestra. ...and, newsflash! my LEGO orchestra had recently its first real concert, together with the real one! Both the real orchestra and the audience loved it :) For the latter I'll have to believe what people told me since I was behind playing . (sorry, the text in the newspaper is only available in Croatian)
  16. This is very much true. However, the lasers could burn dementors' clothes, leaving them... naked. So, nobody wins, but droids might be in the lead.
  17. I am afraid the only way to do it is to cut the small thingies that hold it in place... but they are quite resistant, so make sure you don't cut your finger as well (learn from others' mistakes *cough*, not your own!). Here is a nice picture-guide, just ignore the DCC part ;)
  18. As promised, more pictures can be now found here. Hope it is close enough to be able to see the main idea (and if some things are still hidden, well, it only makes it more interesting ).
  19. Oh no no no no... I know where this is going... forget it! ;) To iamded - there will be closeup pictures, I promise (including the drum-kit).
  20. ...and, done! Details remain, after that is done I will post closeup-pictures as well :) Trivia: the piece we are playing here is actually John Williams' Raiders March... the specially arranged choir version
  21. Glad you like it :) To meschepers: As soon as I'm finished with the whole thing (hopefully in a few days or so), I will make closeup pictures as well, probably not in a separate thread though as I don't think that would be any point in doing that. The horns themselves are a bit tricky, the way I've done it now works fine as long as people sit, but if I make them stand, I'm afraid they will fall to the ground But I'm finally happy with the saxophones! Coming soon
  22. Well, can we...? Not sure whether this would be politically correct, given that this is an english speaking forum. But if noone objects...
  23. Here are the decals I designed for the City of Pula Wind Orchestra. Thanks to aj-ml, I managed to get the decals to match green (ex Octan) torsos quite well. The sleave sign is a bit more tricky since the arms are bended, so there I have to print it on thin paper and use paper glue. But it works :)
  24. B-V-7E Here is my tribute to the 15th birthday of my hometown's orchestra which I am still a part of (at least officially, since I now have several thousands metric reasons not to be able to be very active there ). So far, the back two rows are almost finished, and the plan is to have everything done quite soon. The final version will have 60-70 people and I will try to match the minifigs to the real persons as much as I can... it is hard with so many people that started losing hair, though, so there I have to make each time a binary decision . If someone is wondering, I'm the guy at the bass drum Oh, and there will be a women choir behind . EDIT: Now it is done, see post #13 in the thread. P.S. More on the uniforms in the MCW-forum.
