nebraska, may I ask for further details/photos on the blue+brown boat I can see on the left of this photo? I'm trying to find out as much as I can about hull building techniques before I start putting bricks together this summer on my Belafonte project. Or if anyone else knows anything else about it, could they post further details? Also, I'm leaning towards using the hose-as-railing technique seen here and elsewhere, but does anyone know if such pieces are available in white?

Hello, I've been making LEGO since I was tiny and right now I work on a minifig scale mode of the Belafonte from The Life Aquatic. I don't have a Brickshelf account, but some recent things I've done are mentioned in my journal. The present I made for the fifth anniversary of my ladyfriend and I is the most hardcore model I've made in terms of planning and such, so the Belafonte shall be a bit of a jump in the deep end... This place has good things; I look forward to contributing.
