  1. Very sweet. I got five of the Crossbow Attack, three of the Joust, and one of each other set. I can't wait. Also, it shows the Skeleton Tower and King's Castle Seige as being "Available Now" so they may go out this week! I can't wait.
  2. Last I checked, LegoLand San Diego does not accept them, so I doubt Windsor is any different. Sorry.
  3. I'll ship it to you in New Zealand. Airmail Parcel Post will cost $35 US. Paypal is what I really wanted to accept, so that's great. Thanks, Ron
  4. If anyone is interested in a AT-AT in perfect, but opened, condition, this is for you. I'm in the US, but I will ship to Europe, Australia, and Canada. If one of you Eurobricks guys wants it, but can't pay with PayPal, I can make an exception for you. Just thought you might be interested. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=260054964905
  5. Nothing but the board was glued in the KK set. Apparently, there were even a fair number where they forgot the glue on that.
  6. Yeah, I picked mine up at Target for $69.99 on Thursday. It wasn't marked as a sale or discount or anything, it was just like that was the regular price. It's got to be a mistake.
  7. You don't need instructions to do it as shown on the box. The different towers connect with technic pins, so you just move them around as you like.
  8. So, my next box came from Lego today. Look what I got: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/rdarbee/Battle/box.jpg It seems to have a lot of figures. Ten plus the skeleton: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/rdarbee/Battle/figs.jpg We've got a bunch of seige weapons here for the Rogue Knights: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/rdarbee/Battle/weapons.jpg Here's the Hero Knights' Wall: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/rdarbee/Battle/wall_01.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/rdarbee/Battle/wall_02.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/rdarbee/...le/wall_alt.jpg A battle scene: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/rdarbee/Battle/battle.jpg And a preview of what I might get to build tomorrow: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/rdarbee/Battle/arkham.jpg The Gallery: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=193640 So, the review. First off, I didn't apply the stickers. I usually don't put them on anything but Viking shields. Honestly, this set isn't that exciting. The wall kind of sucks. The side towers can reattach at different angles, and it has hinges, but there is no way to close it up to be a whole fortress. The seige weapons aren't that great either. The ladder tower is cool, and the weapon cart isn't bad. The ram and the catapult kind of suck though. Of course, that stuff isn't why we bought this set, is it? The figs, of course, are great. 10 guys in armor in a $40 set is wonderful. I wish we had gotten some better heads for the minifigs. On the box, there was a picture of a fig with a cool mustache head, but that isn't the head actually in the box... We get 2 x Vladek head, 3 x Rogue Knight (Oriental Adventures Bad Guy) Head, 2 x Young Jayko Head, 1 x Rascus Head, 1 x King Mathias Head, and 1 x Viking with Dark Grey Beard Head (I think that was also originally from an Oriental Adventures Bad Guy). Other than the heads, the figs are cool. The gold armor and pearl helmets are great. Dracus is also a superb figure. Overall, I give this a C as a set, but definately worth the money for the figs. Hopefully, tomorrow I'll get to do Arkham...
  9. I am discovering that my photography skills suck. I took a bunch of pictures, and the only ones that came out at all are some little Bib Fortuna - Greek guys and the chaos that is my desk. I'll try again later. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/rdarbee/Misc/guys.jpg http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/rdarbee/Misc/chaos.jpg
  10. I've been roleplaying for ten years, and I've pretty much always used Lego minifigs for miniatures. I don't really play D&D any more, but we just wrapped up a Vampire game where I had provided figs for the whole group. I'm getting ready for the next game I'll be running, and I've been making lots of NPC's... I picked up a boat load of stuff from Red Bean and Little Armory to make certain characters even more special.
  11. I don't have the Pass yet. I actually had all that stuff ordered on two separate orders; One for the Double Catapult and the Viking Armies, the other for the Battle at the Pass, Arkham, and the King's Castle. The Catapult shipped via Priority Mail, and showed up yesterday. The Battle at the Pass and Arkham shipped on the the same day as the Catapult, but they shipped UPS, so they'll be here on Tuesday. I'll try to get some pictures up when they show up.
  12. Hey! My Double Catapult came in the mail from S&H yesterday, and I figured I would take some pictures. Also, my fianc
  13. I got a notice from S@H yesterday that this shipped, along with my Viking Double Catapult and Battle at the Pass. Still waiting on the King's Castle and the Viking Army.
  14. I don't have consistant access to a digital camera, which is what has kept me from reviewing sets in the past. I'll try to though. Also, S&H has started charging sales tax in California. I called them about it, and I guess as of Monday, they had to start charging sales tax in about nine more states. That sucks.
  15. Well, I ordered two Viking Armies, one Viking Double Catapult, one King's Castle, one Battle at the Pass, and one Arkham. Now I just have to wait three weeks. It won't be an easy wait.
  16. They just put up the Deluxe Vikings Collection with the new catapult set, plus all five old sets. It isn't for sale individually, and no Viking army set. What does this mean for us in the US? http://shop.lego.com/product.asp?p=K7021 I can't say I'm not tempted, and I've got all the old Viking sets already, with multiples of the three small ones... Must resist...
  17. Battle at the Pass and the 10176 Castle are also up in the US. No new Vikings yet.
  18. You could make a storage compartment for them. ;-) Will I am kicking myself that I missed bidding on the knights with the HP snake shield and KK1 torsos. Got any more of them?
  19. Hey! I picked up all three minifig scale sets for KK2.3 at the Lego Store in DownTown Disney last night. (Along with both Avatar Sets, the Sail Barge, and Mythical Creatures.) The boxes and parts look great. I haven't gotten to build them yet, but I'll post at least a few photos for you guys tonight, along with full photo reviews in a few days, if no one else has yet.
  20. You canceled my order, and I would like to reactivate it. As you can see, I'm definately a member. Thanks, Ron
  21. I'm glad you like it. I just hope everyone feels that way.
  22. "Don't worry Sven, it's just a harmless Bionicle."
  23. This isn't a 'new mold' issue. If it was a mold issue, it was due to a deliberate change. I actually work in the plastics/injection molding industry, and deal with exactly that sort of issue on a daily basis. Molds are precision made tools with tolerances measured in tenths of thousandths of an inch. ABS has enough give to accommodate a few tenths of a thou shift that might come in making a new mold that was to be a duplicate of the existing one. For what ever reason, this seems like it had to be an intentional shift. Also, it is a universal shift. I tried it out with the white helmet from a new City Police set (The motorcycle cop set) and the KK2 visors fit great. I really think this should have a new part number and stuff. I want to go on Bricklink and buy black helmets, but I want KK2 style helmets to use with the new visors. I have plenty of extra ones that I can't use with my new visors.
  24. Is it just me or are the 'standard' helmets in KK2 very slightly different than older ones? Old castle visors seem to fit a little too loosely on KK2 helmets, and KK2 visors seem to fit a little too tight on old helmets. Some are worse than others. The red visor sticks a little, but is usable, and the purple visor sticks even more. However, the green visor can barely move up and down if placed on an old helmet. It seems like the light blue and black visors barely even fit right on old helmets. I'm not confused about the helmet types either. I'm not talking about the really old helmets that never really held visors, I mean the 'standard' helmet that Lego has used for 10 or 15 years now. I noticed this when I needed some black helmets for the new visors and tried to scavege from M-Tron and Blacktron II sets. The new visors don't fit on my old castle helments that had the original castle visors either, because those were the same part as in the space sets. Has anyone else noticed this? Should these helms have a new part number?
  25. What's funny about this is that they have all the new Harry Potter sets as "Not yet released" but you can buy the Vikings.
