Ahh, many thanks. Yes, if you could change my display name to Kelmanator, I would be most grateful.

Avalonia Guild: Homepage, Sign-up and Discussion
Kelmanator replied to Derfel Cadarn's topic in Guilds of Historica
Hello Avalonian's may I be able to join your esteemed guild? I don't have many useful pieces for foliage and only really have shades of grey bricks for building castles or buildings. I am not sure how useful I'd be, but I would sure love to be an honorary member of the Alvalonian guild! -
I have just got back into Lego again and I wanted to take part in the GOH and their discussions. However,as stated in the title I could not log into my Eurobrick account ( because I was very stupid and did not write down my password.. ) with my Username " Kelmanator" and I had forgotten my password to my account. To make matters worse, I had lost my email address. Now, I am fully aware you are only allowed to sign up once- and I have except I can no longer access that account. I could have just signed up again and not told you about this- however I was compelled to honesty and have confessed my problem. Is it ok to use my new account on Eurobricks? Many thanks for reading my problem, Kelmonator

Well done on your custom troops . I like the campfire ( made epic with the light brick) and the positioning of the men. By the way, where did you get those bayonets from?
-
Haha, I like the zombies! The architecture is beautiful and I like the toutch of humour! Awesome
-
What a beast! This is totally epic and I am amazed by the sheer size of the thing! For a second, I couldn't believe that tiny ship next to the HMS GAUNTLET was the IFS!
-
? Congratulations on your promotion to the upper ranks of the crew! Let there be rum!! ( I think this thread won't die either! )

Hi Darthluke824, Welcome to EB! What are your Favorite themes?
-
Well done, I like how this theme is progressing and this camp is a good edition. Is this a WIP, or probably not? It has alot of potental and there are many nice little toutches, like the fire. I like the Lord's wake-up stances!
-
Ahh, looking good! In my opinion, I quite like this and your eastern theme is progressing nicely. Well done.

My English teacher came up with mine ages ago. He thought my surname ( Kelman) and the Terminator would go well together. Hence kelmanator was born!

Red Cliff...How I love that film. I must say, it is great inspiration and I love Shogun 2. Same my computer lags like hell playing it...
-
Some good guides there. Gives you an insight into how others build hills. I am grateful to everyone who has replied. I agree that most of my inspiration comes from looking at other people's builds and their techniques. I think perhaps sticking lots of green plates on each other may be a bit...costly?

I love reading history books, and I am very much a bookworm. I also love running. In fact, I am taking part in a Championship soon.
-
Same. I have moved onto games such as The Total War series- a bit different, but much better. I am sure you have heard of the new release of Shogun 2? I think Shogun 2 would provide some inspiration for ships and minifigures of an Eastern faction. "How about an East-Indiaman ? East + India -> Asia"- Sebeus Iniwum Haha, very funny!

You are a DISGRACE to all LEGO fans out there. Oh well, welcome to EB... Edit: I was only joking...
-
Haha, I used to play the game quite a lot!

Isn't that photo from Age Of Empires 3? Or am I mistaken? The theme idea is very good. The Japanese Daimyo could be their leader, like the admiral. You could have some Boshin war style ships, and even a huge Castle like Osaka. There are so many possibility's with combining pirates and ninjas.

Thanks for the help guys. Well, a hill which would start fairly gradually and get steeper, with a castle on top. Sort of like a Mott and bailey.
-
Not entirely sure now. I think it was possibly "The Kelmonator", but I am really not sure.
-
That is a great guide, thankyou.
-
Whoa! The sails are superb. just as I scrolled down, it kept getting better. The detail is purely astounding and you should be very proud! Well done!
-
Hey guys, I have recently been trying to build some hills, like big ones, without success. Does anyone have any tips on how to construct some nice hills- or any techniques? Any help is most appreciated.
