Well, they don't mind anymore, I think. Like said above, the age between 12 ands 16/17 is the hardest to get through. Your friends will think it's childish (and you parents likely will too). I'm 19 now, and I tell my friends I collect it and don't play with it. I ocassionally get some weird looks but I really can't be bothered. I get the same looks for collecting retro games, so I've gotten used to that. It's not like I buy much anyway these days... My parents are quite supportive in it nowadays. There used to be a period in which they basically forbid me to buy sets (I always asked if I could buy something and at some point they started saying 'no', I just didn't ask anymore afterwards :-D ). My dad actually picked up the 2007 SW sets in Cologne for me, so they've finally realized that it's a collection, not a toy. Now they still need to realize that my games are a collection too...

I think he overdid it on the starting bid, but I wouldn't be surprised if it would be sold (not since that Republic Gunship went for 500$).

You can see where I live right under my picture :-D And since I've lived there my entire life and nobody but the Dutch (and German, I suppose) users will know where that is, there's not much else to say either. I might move out soon though since I have to travel 45 minutes daily to get to my University...

Well, my reaction may be a bit late but anyway. I think I picked it on a holiday in Spain in 2000 I think. Not too sure about that, but I'm sure they don't carry it anymore. Shouldn't be that pricey on Bricklink (not like it had rare pieces or anything so you could just build one yourself)

Link. It's in dutch though so I doubt you'd understand. The title translates to something like "Nintendo Wii: Wii Sports New Box" (in stead of: new in box). I then came up with some kind of crappy story about the Wii and mentioned the fact that it's just the box I'm selling in the last sentence. I think I'll leave it there for a while to see if there are idiots willing to bid even more. Still don't know if I'm actually gonna sell it, because it is quite mean (although the only one to blame would be the buyer; he didn't read carefully enough).

I like the train cart thingy a lot. The worker somehow reminds me of a zoo employee. On a more general note: I enjoy reading this topic. Keep up the good work :-)

You know, that was uncalled for. If UltraPrime is a bad name, then tell me what makes yours any better. And don't forget that Lego is for all ages. And I don't think he still "plays" with it (well maybe with his kids), but rather collects and builds. At least that's what I do. Finally, the plural of Lego is simply Lego, not legos. Sorry, I just had to react to that. On a side note, I think this should be closed since all auctions ended and this topic may end up getting a bit out of hand. Just my 2 cents :-)

I meant that you should put up an auction for each set you have. People tend to refrain from bidding on bulk set auctions simply because they'll end up pretty high. Selling each set individually will likely net you more money in the end (but might take a bit longer)

What in the world did you do for 38 hours? I had the game done by that time! Edit: I thought I'd be funny and put my Wii box at a dutch Ebay-alike site. Just the box. Sure I talked my way around it a bit but I made clear it was just the box. Now some idiot bid as much as I paid for it :-D Actually I didn't even mean to sell it but a free Wii sure sounds attractive...

Well, I didn't really rush it either. I'm a 'tourist gamer', I like to visit every place and see everything. Then again, I also really want to know how the story ends so I might rush it a bit. But trust me, 70 is way off (especially since it was said that it took 70 hours to finish the main story. I'd say it takes you 50 hours max unless you really don't do much.)

I think that whoever bought that knew that they would be released soon. Some people are willing to pay a lot extra to have something early. I remember an ISD Ebay auction last year that went really high.

I suppose it's like most Lego: the value depends on the rarity and completeness of the sets. And since most members here won't have much knowledge of the rarity of Playmobil, I think you're better of asking this at a Playmobil message board. Or you could just list them at Ebay and take a chance. Don't forget to sell sets individually though.

Took me 38 hours with quite some sidequests done (yeah, about 7 hours a day, but I only do that for truly great games ;-)). So the 70 hours is absolutely wrong. Without sidequests, I guess you could do it in somewhere between 30 and 35 hours. I'm gonna wrap up sidequests, guess I'll be completely done with it in about 50 hours. I mainly need to collect some Poe Souls and Golden Insects (and clean out the dungeons completely since I had to leave like 50% of all treasure chests closed since my wallet was full). By the way, the final boss is totally awesome. 4 fases, and the last 2 are way to cool!

I just fininshed Zelda. All I can say is "wow". Seriously, at the moment I think it's better then Ocarina of Time. Heck, at the moment it's my favorite Zelda :-D

I like the Bongo a lot more then the Opee. I'd but it in an instant if Lego would release it.
